Surviving The Fourth Calamity

The Undead Tribe sang their songs loudly, clapping in celebration with their companions for the success of their chorus.

The valley was filled with an atmosphere of joy.

Amidst the repeated chanting, Hill slowly revealed a sinister smile.

The crystal fan in his hand swung heavily.

He even intuitively utilized the tornadoes already resonating among the mountains... After all, his own twelve storms could only ensure that the Rainbow Bridge and the high undead on the slopes were thrown into the mountain traps, but the group in the valley, especially those in overly dense areas, had to fly, pull, and drop one.

Hill absolutely wouldn’t let them off lightly.

Even if someone managed to escape the storm... at least they would fall and half-cripple themselves, rather than remain unscathed!

How could that match their ’rat-a-tat-tat’?

Being overly familiar with the Earth Bear, Hill’s mind instantly pictured the giant bear’s charging figure.

In the years he left Teraxil, the Undead Tribe must have seen quite a few frolicking Earth Bears.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have used such a ’fitting’ adjective.

The Earth Bear, in some ways, is very akin to the black and white bear of the past world... Life may not be carefree, but they essentially have no natural enemies threatening them, so they are generally lazy.

Especially since the Goddess of the Earth’s revival, only fun and honey can make them charge again.

Particularly the ’rapid advancement’ posture, which is primarily driven by robbing honey... No, they should call it a forceful seize.

Charging directly, relying on their waterproof thick hide, they dig out enemy hives under the wild bee stings... Only they can appreciate such bees, which are no pushovers either. The bee stings wouldn’t cause any damage if not embedded in flesh, preventing the disappearance of bees for miles.

Of course, where the Earth Bears reside, flowers and trees flourish better, and the evil aura is practically nonexistent, so various magical bees grudgingly accept this fate.

But even in acceptance, the resilient little bees wouldn’t sit quietly... It’s always bears charging with bees exploding, creating quite the spectacle.

The Undead Tribe’s use of such precise words... probably means those three little ones at home took the chance during this safe time to venture outside.

But no matter how good the relationship between the Undead Tribe and his three little bears, it couldn’t prevent Hill’s anger and revenge toward their ’rat-a-tat-tat’.

The sky suddenly filled with white clouds, and bean-sized raindrops instantly poured down.

Tornadoes started towering up everywhere, mixing with the already resonating tornadoes between the peaks, carried the Undead Tribe up the black iron gate.

”Ahhhh!”

”Little bear has gone mad!”

”Help, help, help!”

”Priest, grandma! Give a shield!”

”Release the *humpf*, do I really have to cast magic first for you?”

”Shut up, Hill, how did he evolve ahhh!”

One by one, the rain-drenched Undead Tribe slammed into Hill’s hillside... Although some people were lucky enough to only be half-dead, most initially floating over the rainbow crashed right into some deep pit, especially the Young Master.

But in just ten minutes, the situation shifted so quickly that even Josh, Russell, and Carpenter couldn’t react. Their area was, of course, the only safe zone below.

But Hill, when seeing his frightened students, casually added a shield... one that could block any exterior entities from entering.

Yet, some still managed to use the shield to avoid the whirlwind.

Hill wasn’t too surprised to see the ’Snow Cloud Peak’ in disheveled white clothes and the pretty skirt of the ’Old Age Striking King’ completely blown over her head hiding in that place.

After all, these two intended only to observe and never participate... From the first moment the chant sounded, they searched for a hiding place.

Even though Hill minimized the defensive shield’s range in that area, it could still accommodate hiding two or three people.

Others may or may not have noticed the area, but they lack the ability to protect it.

The ’Old Age Striking King’ naturally possesses sufficient intimidation by herself.

As for ’Snow Cloud Peak’... the ones daring enough to kick him out mostly sang loudly themselves, while those lacking the courage chose to avoid endless revenge over such trifles.

This is the triumph of the small-minded.

At this moment, the ’Old Age Striking King’ chose between clutching her flying skirt hem and her swirling long hair; she opted for the hair... After all, her little skirt concealed pumpkin pants.

Then, squatting on the ground, as she shielded her head and lifted it, she saw the curious face of a little girl in the light screen.

”Hello.” The ’Old Age Striking King’ turned to observe the hurricane which had already left the ground...At this moment, the storm had risen to the hillside, and the fish that had slipped through the net below were already quite safe.

Of course, some people, who were either lucky or unlucky, had also slipped through in the rapidly spinning hurricane... It’s said they were lucky because she already knew that Hill’s subsequent arrangement was quite unbearable; that maze was both sly and sneaky.

They were unlucky because... The best result for those who fell was just a thin thread of the health bar.

That is to say, as soon as they entered this world, they had already paid the price of their first blood.

However... Because when they came in, they must have sorted out the experience bars, essentially no one would be foolish enough to lose more experience.

If there were such fools, the ’Old Age Striking King’ would at most say a 6 to them, right?

So, their biggest loss was just the resurrection time, and... running the path again.

There’s no choice; they had just entered and hadn’t reached the camp, so the resurrection had to go back to the previous world.

And their current Starry Sky Gate is still located at an interstellar relay point outside of Toril, like a steel fortress.

To reach there again from Toril, it would take at least half a day.

Hmm... with those unlucky ones walking the maze below, it’s estimated there’s not much difference.

Hill was still so meticulous; even in revenge prank, he wouldn’t make everyone feel unfair... what’s left is just a matter of luck, brains, and power, and no one could blame anyone.

The ’Old Age Striking King’ leisurely arranged her long hair, and once again greeted the young girl inside the defensive shield... The first greeting seemed to leave the other party unable to react.

”Hello~ I’m the ’Old Age Striking King,’ Hill’s good friend!” The ’Old Age Striking King’ spoke openly and unceremoniously.

Due to the clothes being too floaty and reacting too clumsily, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ let out a chuckle, ”What good friend, Hill, would he agree?”

”I didn’t sing the Little Bear song! Hill never implicates the innocent.” The ’Old Age Striking King’s’ cute little face seemed to radiate a holy light.

”He won’t hear it.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ directly pointed out, ”The Young Master leading the way already decides your words are untrustworthy.”

The ’Old Age Striking King’ gave him a cold glance, ”Do I need you to say it?”

”I’m Carpenter.” The young girl who had been watching their communication suddenly spoke up, ”Beside me is Josh, the Chosen of the Lord of Dawn.

Another one is my brother, Russell.

Brother is Archmage Hill’s official disciple, and I’m allowed by Archmage Hill to study alongside him.”

The young girl’s eyes were large, clear, and bright as she stared at the ’Old Age Striking King’ and ’Snow Cloud Peak.’

’Snow Cloud Peak’ tilted his head and looked down at the ’Old Age Striking King.’

”Ah~ Hill’s student!” The ’Old Age Striking King’ grudgingly replied, then immediately shook her head, reclaiming her usual demeanor, ”Although I already knew, I didn’t expect Hill would like children like you.”

”Teacher prefers my brother; I was merely...”

Carpenter’s words were intercepted, and the ’Old Age Striking King’ responded in a very cheerful tone, ”Hey~ no need to belittle yourself so much, anyone Hill doesn’t like wouldn’t be given a title!”

Russell then came over, ”Greetings to both of you, nice to meet you, I’m Russell.”

”Hill’s students indeed resemble Hill a bit.” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ smiled interruptingly, ”All equally steadfast.”

”The wind stopped, the sun came out, and the world became quiet.” Over on the other side, Josh mysteriously spoke up, ”How should I greet the guests of my Lord?”

”Ah... a lone ranger type Morninglight Elect!” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ sympathized, ”You must have had a tough time, right?

No need to worry, the Undead Tribe has come, so we don’t need to worry about those simple everyday chores!

Leave it to us, absolutely no problem.”

Josh’s eyes sparkled, and he quickly inquired, ”Are you the leader of the Undead Tribe?”

”No! No! No!” ’Snow Cloud Peak’ instantly denied three times, ”Just able to somewhat represent the group’s intent, but not a leader.

The Undead Tribe has no leader, only someone who speaks for the collective will.

We put everything on a platform, whoever wants to do it, does it, and no one is forced to do anything.”

Josh struggled to understand, but among the Chosen of the Lord of Dawn, sometimes it’s about competing for tasks... The Main God is always reasonable and fair to everyone, so tasks are first-come, first-served.

If there’s something one particularly wants, one must rush over early to grab the first spot.

Even though Josh couldn’t imagine what it would be like for millions to compete for tasks... But anyway, he’s the one assigning tasks, right?

He quickly abandoned the inquiry about the future plans of the Undead Tribe and after glancing around briefly, directly said to Russell, ”It seems our welcoming task is no longer needed, so tomorrow morning, shall we start the construction task under the Magic Tower?”
