Surviving The Fourth Calamity

The divine artifacts of Zeus certainly go beyond just these three items, like the Thunder Spear he always holds in his hand, which is more powerful than those three combined.

The Thunder Spear is powerful because this artifact is essentially the manifestation of Mount Olympia... just like the Pool of Life is the core of the Heavenly Mountain.

Therefore, the Thunder Spear and Mount Olympia are bound together.

Of course, Mount Olympia and Heavenly Mountain are different... it’s a paradise crafted meticulously by Gaia and Uranus for their children.

Even though Greek Mythology tries to erase this mark, the so-called naturally born Mount Olympia cannot grow without the permission of the Lord of the Sky and Earth.

Therefore, this Thunder Spear was made to be the control center from the beginning.

Hermes specially took away this artifact because he worried that Prometheus, freed from Zeus’ suppression, might do something to Zeus’ descendants... After Athena and the others left, he was the strongest on Mount Olympia.

That figure actually has the divinity of revenge.

As for the other divine artifacts, each has its own abilities, yet all were meticulously crafted for Zeus by other deities.

Only the Cosmic Staff, Thunder Arrow, and Sword of Light by Thanos stand out.

The Cosmic Staff originates from Uranus and Gaia; it was created during their passionate union when they were still tender and affectionate.

It can almost be considered a subsidiary divine artifact in the world of the Greek Gods.

The other two were born to accompany the Cosmic Staff.

For instance, the Thunder Arrow was, well, born from Gaia’s curse on Uranus due to their arguments and some forcible activities.

Thus, that thing offers strong area attacks, with heavy damage to active materials.

Let’s not mention the lightsaber for now; anyway, Light Energy must be very useful for the Pool of Life.

The Thunder Arrow and Thanos indeed carry the meaning of destruction intertwined with rebirth.

With the combination of sky and earth, paired with light and life... they can form a prototype of a small Positive Energy world.

This at least allows the Pool of Life, once again gathering its true form, to create the true angels guarding it within its own little plane without relying on any external force.

This struggle and resistance, lasting nearly a million years, seemingly are finally coming to a full victory for the victim.

Moreover, Hill finally understood why the Pool of Life hated these Gods of Order to the extent of helping Asmodeus manipulate such a strong God of Order at the cost of harming its own law.

Probably, when he understood what happened to himself, Asmodeus and Battle Angel had already been born for a long time, and even started being flirted with and seduced by others!

Think about it, his left eye watched part of his energy core become the assurance in the Hall of Order, ensuring the Gods of Order would not be bound by the debts on their own bodies, and even possibly the legal texts issued by those Gods of Order and various agreements were written with his energy... This implies that even those secretly damaging treaties, the Pool of Life must bear joint responsibility.

Although not his intention, he indeed aided the villain in committing evil.

Using the Positive Energy Water he produced to wash himself every day, the Pool of Life might have cried and lamented!

Then, with the right eye, he watched the Battle Angel he sent out foolishly, with a beautiful face, fighting the most reckless battles, only to turn back and be looked down upon by those old folks and be flirted with by idiots who tricked him.

It would be surprising if the Pool of Life doesn’t go mad.

Asmodeus, as King of Angels most closely linked to the Pool of Life, naturally also witnessed the most.

His hatred and resentment also must be the same as that of the Pool of Life.

However, likewise, he can learn all the rules judging laws and contracts from the Gods of Order, as well as every trick they used when formulating contracts from the Pool of Life.

These are the core of almost all public laws and contracts in the Multiverse.

Mastering these and knowing the loopholes in these clauses clearly... such Asmodeus is indeed material for a born Devil King.

The nine layers of hell must be very grateful to the Gods of Order for nurturing such an appropriate king.

No wonder, back then Asmodeus slew so many Gods of Order relying solely on his own: at that time, although Cosette strongly supported driving the Battle Angels away from the Heavenly Mountain, at most he didn’t look for Asmodeus’ loopholes, but surely wouldn’t stop other Gods of Order from doing so.

This King of Angels managed to retreat from the Hall of Order unscathed, emerging victorious, entirely thanks to the good teachings of the Gods of Order over the years... however, they themselves didn’t even know.

Every outcome today is a seed sown by the Gods of Order with their own hands nearly a million years ago.

Shaer gently turned her head to look in the direction of Celene and said meaningfully: ”AO, no wonder you pay so much attention to destiny.

Indeed, destiny, ha~ cause and effect, is just a trouble made by oneself.

Ha~ in the end, what did the Gods of Order gain?

From landlords to tenants?”

Celene looked around, finally decided with resolve to burst into laughter.

Looks like, more than teasing her own sister, she doesn’t want to let AO go.

AO remained silent.

But Hill suspected that from now on, he would guard the law of destiny more strictly.

Lansendel probably shared the same thought, so even with a face full of fuzz, you can still sense his expression a bit serious.

Even though Lansendel knew of Tai Ji’s return, possibly in tens of thousands or even millions of years later, he still didn’t want to see this path becoming increasingly long.

Unfortunately, Toril belongs to AO.

The Great Peacock could only watch as the situation headed in the direction he didn’t want, wisely choosing to lower his presence to avoid reminding AO of certain things.

Although this time, Tai Ji’s guidance over destiny seems to be no bad thing for Toril, but... does AO care about good and bad?

But rather, even though he is the God Above Gods, sometimes he has to act according to Tai Ji’s instructions.

Though he took the Greek Triad away naturally, it doesn’t mean AO feels comfortable with Tai Ji using him once again.

Hill thought, AO might not be too displeased... after all, the most likely scenario envisioned by Tai Ji didn’t happen at all.

AO surely noticed how much destiny had diverted.

Yet, even though Teraxil and the Undead Tribe’s appearance was accidental... the river of destiny didn’t ripple at all due to this accident, nor did new branches appear at incredible places, naturally proving it as part of the river.

This proves that Tai Ji’s observation of distant future isn’t that accurate.

Toril’s Goddess of Fate is just stronger than those from other worlds but hasn’t reached the Multiverse level.

Lansendel couldn’t see some things, which is why he was so worried.

Compared to another strand of ’history’ happening, Tai Ji’s resurrection seems to bring a little more hope.

Of course, this requires the Goddess of Luck Tymora and the Goddess of Misfortune Benshasha to act more.

Unfortunately, even though Hill knew, he couldn’t say it out loud.

He didn’t even dare to give Lansendel an encouraging look.

”Ah!” Hill pointed at the giant screen, ”Those few moved, seems like they want to intercept Asmodier.”

”Hmm... who do you think will die this time?” Celene curiously glanced at the giant screen.

It’s no longer a question of whether a God of Order will die, but how many.

”AO, why aren’t you speaking?” Shaer smiled curiously, ”What do you think? Who does Cosette have the worst relationship with?”

The question was particularly tricky.

Everyone understood, Cosette’s daily demeanor isn’t her true self.

Yet the one she seems to dislike doesn’t necessarily mean she’ll act... instead, those she has good relations with might get stabbed.

”She usually likes to argue with Mei Fei’er.” AO’s voice seemed a little weary, ”But it’s a matter of ideology.

Conservative, not fond of radical ways, naturally.

A noisy argument doesn’t amount to anything, not truly enemies.”

”Hehe~” Shaer replied with a particularly meaningful smile, ”Seems she’s on good terms with other male gods.

Hmm, what a pity, Hieronymus isn’t here, otherwise we wouldn’t have to consider these questions, would we?”

”Asmodier wouldn’t lay a hand on Hieronymus, he wouldn’t be that foolish.” AO chuckled aloud, ”Nor would he be as extreme as you, Shaer.

Rather than in future having to fill the gap for a slip in Miska’s cage, Asmodier undoubtedly chooses not to fret over the knife to the chest years ago.

He understands better than you what it means for the future to be more important.”

”So, AO.” Shaer didn’t get annoyed but instead smiled brightly, ”Look, your Gods of Order have nurtured the most fitting god for the future by your expectations!

Asmodier seems to perfectly match the lessons you taught me and Celene!

Don’t you still consider him the best now?”

AO hesitated for a full minute before reluctantly replying: ”Don’t speak nonsense.

I’m very satisfied with you and Celene.

Just always wish you might grow better.

But never imagined you’d become like him, how tiring would that be!”

His words were so constrained that Celene couldn’t muster enough energy to retort, merely releasing several scornful cold laughs.

Shaer certainly wouldn’t engage in such an awkward conversation.

Hill glanced left and right... dejectedly realizing that he alone held the responsibility to lighten the hall’s atmosphere.

Thus, he could only raise his hand again, pointing at a male god also wearing a uniform white robe but with neatly braided milk-white and cream-colored hair ribbons around his beard, and asked earnestly, ”Who’s this!

Seems rather lively.”

Thankfully he wasn’t in bright red and purple, otherwise, it’d remind him of a particularly cunning old acquaintance... come to think of it, that person too seemed chaotic, but is actually order!
