Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Shaer actually didn’t want to do much.

She just really wanted to know, if Celene were to find someone to date, who would be so unlucky.

However, Celene basically doesn’t have that kind of mindset; in that aspect, she truly is forever a child.

Don’t mention the ordinary difference between men and women; even good and evil are seen as equal in her eyes.

The only thing she would pay a little extra attention to is children.

But, due to Shaer being overly involved, Celene might indeed consider finding an unlucky person to give it a try.

Shaer certainly doesn’t think that Celene would really entrust herself to someone, likely kicking them away as soon as things seem off.

But from this, one can observe what attributes Celene truly prefers deep down.

This point was something that in past years, Shaer found hard to unearth from this ever-changing sister.

She seems to be constantly changing after all.

However, no matter how much she changes, there must be certain cores that remain unchanged... it’s just that Celene switches so quickly that it’s hard to pinpoint the true core.

Ha~

But, Shaer believes that when Celene selects her first romance, even if she’s indifferent, she wouldn’t randomly pick out of chance.

There must be some sincerity within.

Then, comparing it with past events... one can definitely unearth Celene’s true preferences.

Then, in the future, Shaer won’t always be at a disadvantage.

She keeps failing unreasonably, all because she cannot grasp Celene’s true focus!

Setting up beautiful traps but not finding useful bait is truly frustrating.

Though the chances of success with this matter aren’t high either... but what if it works?

After all, it’s just a waste of breath, Shaer doesn’t feel it’s troublesome.

Celene looked at Shaer, seemingly deep in thought: ”I always feel like something’s off with you.

But I can’t guess what exactly you want to do.

So, Shaer, don’t think you can scheme against me, it’s useless.

I just won’t take your bait.”

”Overthinking it... suit yourself.” Shaer moved her red lips slightly, answering without changing her expression.

”Ah! God of Order, we’ve arrived.” Lansendel flapped his wings, pointing with the tip of his wings to show Hill.

Hill tilted his head cooperatively: ”Seems like only one-third came in.”

”These ones who came in, the old man mentioned to me.” Celene glanced twice and said decisively, ”They are the more capable kind among the God of Order.

Though they mainly use their brains for schemes, they’ve also gotten into fights.

So the old man told me not to mess with these few.”

Others can be messed with, right?

The key is, can ordinary deities handle Celene’s messing?

However, those old guys among the God of Order, despite being very dissatisfied with AO, still have to get along with him on the surface, as many know the origin of that God Above Gods.

If even for a slight disagreement in principles, they behave unfriendly towards their own people who leave peacefully, who would believe they can host justice in the Multiverse?

Hill knows such detailed secrets about the God of Order because he naturally stands from a higher vantage point... not only from past memories but also his bloodline heritage that allows him to see everything clearly.

Mortals, and even newly born deities from smaller worlds, naturally can only see the surface.

But there’s nothing bad about it.

They don’t know, nor can they touch the real secrets, so although living in confusion, they at least get by.

At the very least, to gain the support of those worlds, God of Orders do a pretty good job with surface work.

The fate and other such losses hidden away... are just the high protection fees they pay.

But many times, if one cannot understand that sometimes free is the most expensive, it’s proper for both humans and gods to pay such protection fees... if there’s not enough brainpower, it’s better to just play dumb.

On the contrary, exceedingly wise ones like AO can live very well, even achieving something of importance in a relatively harmonious environment... as long as the God of Order cannot secretly scheme AO, they can only smile towards Toril World.

Not to mention Celene, who has no distinction from being AO’s biological daughter.

So, as long as they’re not caught on the spot... being seen doesn’t matter, but they can’t be caught.

Talk of the child being young actually doesn’t relate to how many years they’ve lived, but rather depends on the parent.

Thus, the ones Celene needs to avoid, apart from those Evil Forces that don’t respect AO’s face, are these few old guys who can catch her on the spot and hang her up for a beating.

Hill summarized her remarks and deeply understood what Shaer always meant by the old man being biased.

However, speaking of which, Shaer wouldn’t do such things from the start!

Why would she bother provoking the God of Order for no reason?

Thus AO probably doesn’t feel he’s actually biased... he’s only had to closely manage due to a child being excessively capable of causing trouble.

Of course, Shaer isn’t without causing trouble, but all she’s done is very much within the scope of Toril... within AO’s control, the God Above Gods doesn’t care who his youngest daughter has tricked or swindled.

Anyway, he doesn’t care, and he can handle it.

Hmm... The result of not managing a child properly since young is that they grow up to do everything wrong.

Celene doesn’t necessarily like AO’s meddling either.

However, as Hill thought about it, AO as a parent probably wouldn’t be a good role model either.

His example resulted in the perpetual Dark Moon and Silvermoon of Toril!

”Why aren’t they continuing to discuss who’s right and wrong? Just starting a fight like that... It’s really boring.” Celene’s curious voice interrupted Hill’s thoughts.

This time, Asmodeus and the God of Order truly met with flashes of lightning and thunder.

Although he was just a solitary demon, Asmodeus looked as if he was unshakeable, with a fierce aura... However, the sight of the most evil Lord of Hell shrouded in flawless Life Light looked really bizarre.

On the other hand, the group of Gods of Order, who preferred to express themselves with the power of thunder and lightning, looked particularly ferocious among the blue-black lightning bolts.

”Uh...” Even Lansendel found it hard to watch, ”What is all this stuff?”

”A Lord of Hell bathed in Holy Light.” Shaer commented seriously, ”Clearly, this Holy Light stuff can’t expel true evil.”

Shaer is always the most serious, seeing the truly meaningful places.

Even as an observer, she wouldn’t be like those two next door, focusing mostly on the terrifying contrast in appearance.

Hill of course understood, but in this aspect, he sided with Celene and Lansendel.

Watching for fun~ can’t be taken too seriously.

The more mischievous, the more it raises the level of fun.

Otherwise, just watching them fight isn’t interesting at all.

What does it matter who wins or loses?

It doesn’t affect them anyway.

Neither side is decent.

Besides, the group fights of deities aren’t enjoyable to watch at all.

After all, they’re all real moves.

Many times, with a wave of a hand on one side, the other swiftly uses repelling or attracting spells to directly block it.

It looks very lively with hand-waving and foot-stamping, but in reality, with a flash of halos, it immediately extinguishes.

So, it’s mostly direct weapon attacks, and they’re all heavy weapons.

Let’s see who can crush whom.

Divine Power at this time also turns into pressure and gravitational acceleration.

This isn’t a kung fu movie, dodging left and right, yelling and screaming.

It’s all silent, directly pounding.

As the target of the gang attack, Asmodeus had many small automatic anti-pounding square shields floating around him... They look quite like they’re made of diamond, radiating light.

Unfortunately, even the sound of hitting diamond shields isn’t necessarily better than metal.

The clanging sound is headache-inducing.

So, no wonder Celene and Lansendel speak mischievously... Hill finds it a bit annoying just listening with two ears; those two are listening with four.

”There’s a little spider sneaking a drink over there.” Shaer pointed to the upper right corner of the giant screen.

”Hmm?” Celene looked over with interest, ”Where, where?”

Shaer pointing out Rose’s presence was impressive enough; there’s no way she’d mark the point, not bothering to, just turned and glanced at Hill.

Hill blinked and focused, taking several minutes to spot the gray-white little spider.

She seems to have rolled in certain white transparent dust, so even if her original color would be very conspicuous in this white space, she’s still hidden.

Just wondering how Rose endured this pain.

She’s not the same as Asmodeus.

Although that one fell into being the Devil King, his true form remains angelic.

The Pool of Life can fully isolate the Life Energy from eroding him with Positive Energy... It probably still smarts a bit, but for Asmodeus, who once had a body pierced with a large hole and lay in the deepest part of Hell for tens of thousands of years, it certainly doesn’t matter.

But Rose is a true Demon Spider.

And the Pool of Life can’t separate the Positive Energy mixed in the dust from the Life Energy on her... That stuff is like pouring acid on Rose.

Yet she can steadfastly lie by the edge of the pool, struggling to gulp down the Water of Life.

Luckily the Water of Life is very pure, at least her stomach won’t rupture.

”Indeed, a spider that knows how to tunnel! Really knows how to exploit a gap.” Celene widened her big eyes, finally spotting the little spider hiding among the shells and rocks.

A crack in the rock extended, half in water, half on land, with many shells of the same color attached to it.

Though the shell meat inside is also white and transparent, they are ultimately living organisms, with a slightly different color.

The crystal spider lied on one of the shells.

If your eyesight isn’t good enough, you’ll definitely miss her.
