Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1164: Chapter 956: Will Rose Come?

Sitting steadily on the Seat of Sakoxiel, Shaer slightly tilted her head.

She also sensed Villon’s resolute attitude towards death.

Though unaware of why the ever-cunning and treacherous Masked Lord became like this, Shaer knew quite well who pushed him to this extent.

She couldn’t help but smile slightly... Rose, always unable to know when to stop.

She wanted to unify the Zholar Divine System, but those compassionate deities could at most save Elisui, and not much else... How could a benevolent deity possibly save those few Demigods shining brightly in the Abyss?

Yet, that big spider has always been insatiably greedy, wanting to devour these weak Zholar Deities and still wanting them to do more for her before their death, not even sparing her own children... Two birds with one stone is surely good, but can she see if her spider legs are long enough!

Hmph!

Wait... Shaer’s long eyelashes quivered slightly, the Soul Light faintly illuminated by the Darkmoon Magic Bead swept across Villon’s head, revealing a silver-haired woman crying in his soul’s depths? Elisui?

Villon did not choose to devour his sister?

No wonder his power wasn’t as strong as imagined... only slightly stronger than Hydra.

Shaer couldn’t help but glance at the Masked Lord, she always looked down on this Zholar who turned his life into a joke... never understanding what was going on in his mind, repeatedly betraying without a clear cause.

Father, sisters, wife, and son all discarded, yet he remained infatuated with Rose, the mother he least favored... makes one wonder if half of his brain was missing at birth.

Moreover, he treated his believers terribly, frequently going mad regardless of who was before him.

Unexpectedly, at this moment, Villon chose to protect his little sister?

Even if it meant his death... was his bizarre behavior always manipulated by Rose from the start?

So ruthless?

This was her biological son!

Although she once went all out against her sister, Shaer, not feeling it was her fault, suddenly realized that confronting someone like Rose made no sense... that person was already a complete Abyssal Demon, seeing her children as mere sustenance.

Though she was aloof and callous, she couldn’t reach such a level... shouldn’t protecting one’s own be a natural instinct for any creature?

How could someone specifically target their own family?

Even someone as foolish as Celene would side with Shaer when her sister’s will didn’t conflict with her own thoughts!

Shaer thought for a moment and nimbly stood on the stone dragon armrest of the Seat of Sakoxiel, waved her long whip, and instantly flung the frenzied Villon away.

The Moon Blades swirling around the sky suddenly transformed into white silk, tightly encircling the Zholar, binding him mid-air.

The Darkmoon Magic Bead, spinning beside Shaer, suddenly flashed, drawing a black arc through the air, directly piercing towards Villon’s chest, then swiftly emerged from his back.

The dual swords in his hands powerless to grip, fell forlornly to the ground, vast amounts of blood sprayed out, painting a peculiar color mid-air... The tall Lady Zhuoer, her face mask slowly turned to nothingness, revealing a beautiful yet ashen face.

Villon, using his last will, wrapped the frantically struggling and crying Elisui, his shimmering eyes helplessly pleading towards Shaer.

Shaer laughed at him, ”Next time we meet, remember not to seek death again.”

A sharp silver-blue light suddenly appeared, Villon surprised to see himself leaving that body... His head was severed... Elisui?

”I sent him to purification.” His last memory, besides concern for his sister, was just this sentence.

”Does it work?” Shaer asked nonchalantly, seated on the stone throne.

”Who knows?” Celene replied faintly, ”When Mystra returns to the Divine Throne, releasing their souls should suffice.

As for whether Villon will maintain this sudden conscience later, that remains unknown.

But Elisui, she should be fine.

Didn’t expect this, I thought she’d become a Soul Shard, slowly repairing through the Weave!

I wonder whether Elisui’s luck is good or bad... Constantly struggling on the edge of danger, but always living stably till the end.”

Shaer didn’t care at all about this little Moon Goddess of Zholar, merely sat back on the throne, slowly tapping the armrest with her fingers: ”Villon didn’t stall according to her plans, instead died decisively.

Hoho~

So what do you plan to do?

Black spider?”

”Ugly black spider!” Celene grumbled angrily, the Moonstone Sphere in her hand, silver and black light intertwined.

Shaer’s gaze quietly settled on the sphere containing the Divine Souls of Villon and Elisui, then lightly glanced at Celene... she seemed to understand why Celene liked the Dark Maiden so much... perhaps it was because Celene could never reach the extent of Elisui.

Celene wasn’t unloving towards her sister. However, when conflict arose between her sister’s will and her own thoughts, the Maiden of the Moon always prioritized herself.

And Elisui thought about sacrificing her own interests to awaken her brother.

Similarly, the Power of the Silvermoon and the power of darkness were entangled in a deadly struggle, but the siblings clearly were part of each other, within one another.

If it were her and Celene, they would either collide and become Primordial Chaos Power or twist into a silver-black chain... appearing to be together but actually starkly different.

Celene didn’t feel Shaer’s intricate thoughts at all... She always acted on intuition and never bothered to analyze why.

Don’t be fooled if she sometimes sounds reasonable, but that’s just to persuade Shaer!

After fighting an endless war for hundreds of thousands of years, she knows very well that it’s impossible to persuade her sister with ”I think”.

As for other deities and other matters, Celene wouldn’t think so much.

She patted the stone sphere... the intertwined silver and black lights scattered like startled fish.

Celene glanced sideways at Agleya City: ”I thought she would let the people inside come out!”

Shaer sneered: ”What Rose wants most is the Shadow Demon Network, she would never forgo the opportunity to gain an advantage over Mystra.

Besides, Bane’s people and hers are together!

If that group of spider henchmen dared to cause trouble in Agleya, given Hill’s temperament, he would definitely drive them away together.

How could Bane be willing?

This is his only chance to gain an advantage over Mystra.

Mystra’s hatred for him is no less than for Cyric.

You should return to the Floating Castle!

This thing is better left to Hill.”

Celene looked at Shaer with surprise: ”Isn’t the Power of Purification of the Silvermoon stronger than that of the Elf’s?”

Shaer’s lips curled into a mocking smile: ”Who would rely on Coron? Hill’s other half-bloodline is more useful.”

”Tsk~” Celene suddenly realized, she only had a partial understanding of Hill’s past from the Undead Tribe, while Shaer acquired first-hand information... that William must know more and in greater detail.

When these two get along, it seems they’re just exchanging gossip from both worlds... wait, Celene suddenly realized... Given Shaer’s proud nature, she doesn’t really care about the affairs of other deities on Toril!

The things Lady of the Night talked about must all be about herself!

Celene almost dropped the Moonlight Stone Sphere from her hand... she suddenly turned to look at her sister, opened her mouth but then slowly closed it.

How could she ask?

Shaer would surely repeat aloud whatever she said about Celene, shaking all around.

Celene held the stone sphere tightly and disappeared into the wind.

Her wise move earned a surprised glance from Shaer... Celene became smarter!

She was already prepared with the recording crystal, ready to document a year’s worth of Maiden of the Moon adventures if Celene spoke.

Standing at the Floating Castle, viewing everything from start to finish, Hill unsurprisingly welcomed Celene and the little trouble she brought.

Hill glanced at the Agleya Temple by the harbor and smiled as he took the Moonlight Stone Sphere.

When Celene held it, the silver and black light lines avoided her hand, but as soon as Hill touched it, the silver and black lights transformed into small fish, gathering at his hand.

”Elves are truly an interesting race.” Celene said unexpectedly as she watched this, ”Even without consciousness, they know you’re related by blood!”

Hill softly said, ”Thank you for the help, Maiden of the Moon.”

Celene’s Moonlight Stone Sphere has immense restorative power for the Divine Soul, and it comes without any aftereffects... in fact, Hill’s treasures are not as effective.

Hill gently waved his hand, and in the place with the highest concentration of the Power of the Silvermoon in the Floating Castle, a silver pool rose.

In the pool appeared a white cat with its left paw raised, carved from silver, and a black cat with its right paw raised, carved from bright black tourmaline... the white cat’s left paw seemed to lightly touch the black cat’s right paw, and Hill placed the Moonlight Stone Sphere into that gap.

The two-colored lights on the sphere seemed very satisfied with the two cats, the faint glow spread directly onto their bodies.

Hill took out a Magic Book and sighed at the Power of the Silvermoon on it... this is a bit too stimulating for Villon.

He shook his head, raised the hand wearing the Crystal Flower Ring, and the rain curtain formed by the Water of Tranquility slowly appeared above the pool: ”Good luck to you all.”

Hill turned back to look at Shaer sitting on the Seat of Sakoxiel: ”Rose, will she really come?”

Celene chuckled: ”Even if she doesn’t want Shaer’s Divine Artifact, she would come to snatch Villon and Elisui’s Divine Souls!

Unfortunately for her, this time, I have a reason to take action!”
