Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1160: Chapter 952: Divine Artifact Stirs the Dragon Heart

List returned to the report of the Floating Castle, causing Hill to just chuckle a few times... Having ambition is quite normal, but it appears particularly foolish to show great ambition without knowing anything at times.

However, Hill was actually not interested in these Mystra followers hastily arriving from elsewhere. After discovering that no one was suspicious of Edna’s identity, he decided not to pay further attention.

He merely requested List to be cautious of mysterious visitors in the shadows... They might not necessarily be targeting Mystra; for those Evil God followers or mages who prefer utilizing Demon Power, Shaer and her newly acquired Seat of Sakoxiel are more appealing.

Everyone understood Lalock’s capabilities, and no one would believe Shaer could easily and completely conquer this High-grade Artifact.

However, Agleya City is also quite notorious among the Evil Forces of Toril... After all, it’s a place with more rules than the headquarters of the Righteous Knights.

These rules mean nothing to ordinary people, who don’t even have the capacity to violate them, but for the Professionals, it’s quite frustrating.

The more powerful a person is, the greater the restrictions felt... Normally, many powerful beings from the Evil Faction or even some non-evil Chaotic Factions would run to Agleya to show Lord Hill what the pride of the strong truly means.

Unfortunately, those daring enough to cause trouble in Agleya basically disappear without a trace, so most people eventually choose to respect the will of the Lord of Agleya... When the Magicplague began, news from the Giant Dragons made people even more wary of the place.

They don’t have heads that strong, they probably can’t withstand even a single punch.

Those still daring to attempt entering Agleya are those evil individuals who fancy assassination, all carrying High-level Wonders capable of concealing their identities... In the world of Toril, if you have the money, you can buy such Wonders that allow a Duke of Demons to impersonate an Archbishop.

With troublemakers being so numerous, both deities and demons need to conceal their identities.

Although the Water Maze Lock of Agleya City can identify most infiltrators, if someone enters with a Subartifact and maintains a passive state without any actions, there is still a slight chance of remaining undiscovered.

Nevertheless, even if Hill identified a few such individuals, as long as they did not engage in any actions harmful to the Agleya people or property, he would choose to turn a blind eye, at most focusing more attention on them... He still needed to ensure he could directly intervene before they did anything wrong.

After all, Shaer’s Envoys of the Night would sometimes visit the tavern for a drink and casually explore the art-filled city... To be honest, when Hill first saw Followers of the Night and Silvermoon Devotees brushing past each other face to face, he genuinely thought the City Guard would have to step in!

But they merely exchanged a glance, memorized each other’s faces and aura, and then peacefully went their separate ways.

Hill never liked taking things to extremes. Since he allowed Followers of the Night to stroll, he certainly wouldn’t be too harsh on others... Perhaps feeling Hill’s stance, until now, those evil strong beings visiting Agleya City with Subartifacts hadn’t really done anything there.

It’s just that his port tavern was a little too lively.

Mages from Silvermoon City and Shadow Valley were probably drawn directly to Lynn even before setting foot inside.

After experiencing Agleya’s famous tavern served by a Golden Dragon... calling it small, when in fact, the tavern, expanded through Spatial Magic, could nearly accommodate a thousand patrons simultaneously.

There was a separate room designated for the Undead Tribe, which was even larger... Hill certainly didn’t dare let the Undead and the various peculiar Toril people coexist in one space.

He didn’t want to be busy all day because of some people’s itchy hands with Alignment Detection.

Hill leaned against the railing atop the garden on the rooftop, muttering to himself, ”List, do you think... I should let these people and the Undead enter the same space, or the normal one?”

”That depends on whether you want them to be unlucky, or dead.” List paused and then replied, ”Hydra hasn’t left, and went straight into the tavern to drink. He bought twelve barrels of endless wine with different flavors, and Terry loved him for it, had the kitchen send him a variety of good dishes... Ah, of course, it’s for a price. But Terry used to dislike it, reluctant to supply.”

Hill silently turned to look at his Tower Spirit, then towards Shaer, who sat on the Seat of Sakoxiel, her long veil dancing in the breeze: ”Hydra, will you be staying here for good?

Is he enough?”

He should have realized sooner; since Shaer couldn’t make a move for now, she would surely leave some means of security... With Celene around, Lansendel couldn’t be a threat.

As for Tyr, out of respect for Hill, he wouldn’t trouble her here.

But other deities were another story.

However, there were not many capable of acting personally, while with Chosen bearing a Shadow Artifact, and Hydra whom she can leverage, they were sufficient to handle all.

”Mmm...” Shaer said softly, ”Hydra is enough, he’s rather obedient. Those two, seeing the environment here, won’t be able to resist causing trouble.

Hehe~ just your tavern, when Hydra sat down, he was already startled.

I don’t believe you didn’t know how mixed the crowd inside was...Antilost and Queturite, those two old Steel Dragons aside, why is someone from the Song Dragon Sisterhood here?

Most importantly, why is Orosonte here?”

”That one...” Hill said with a peculiar expression, ”Initially drawn by the automatically playing harpsichord, teak harp, and ivory flute in the tavern put there by Terry.

Well...how should I put it...Terry found Lynn to play those instruments.

But Lynn’s technique that time was too skilled; some tunes made it seem as if people had entered the Paradise Realm.

I don’t know who he learned these from... Maybe when redeeming that Ancient Green Dragon, the Dragon Lich’s follower went to the tavern to drink?

Not long after, he appeared.”

Tasding observed him for a few days and found that he just wanted to listen to music, so he stopped bothering him.

After all, the inn is quite sturdy, so I didn’t mind him either.”

Celene asked curiously, ”How many years has it been? Has he been listening all this time?”

”Later, when more bards started coming, performing in the tavern every day, he never left.” Hill replied helplessly, ”When a female bard from the Song Dragon Sisterhood came, that one even wanted to settle in Agleya.”

”Hmm...” Celene also knew about Orosonte’s pursuit of a Song Dragon, so of course, she understood what Hill was implying... Since she came, the old Blue Dragons wouldn’t choose to leave.

Celene couldn’t help but ask, ”How is Elvia’s relationship with him? I remember most Giant Dragons in The North don’t have a good relationship with the White Dragon Queen.”

”With Hydra there, he won’t cause trouble.” Shaer said lightly, ”That Blue Dragons is always not quite like the Chromatic Dragon, Hill tolerating him is quite normal.

But as for the Steel Dragons in Deepwater City, what are they planning?”

”They probably just want to see the recent situation.” Hill lowered his eyelashes slightly and said casually, ”Recently, the property prices in Deepwater City have dropped significantly. The Steel Dragons are one of the largest real estate developers in that city, so they’re a bit anxious.

After all, no one is buying property in Deepwater City now, it’s hard for them to back out.”

Celene said in astonishment, ”Huh?” Although she had long known that Giant Dragons only cared about their wealth, this ’when the world is in chaos, still caring about their property prices’ style made the usually carefree Maiden of the Moon feel truly absurd, ”Are they completely unaware of what’s happening now?”

”Giant Dragons are like that.” Shaer said indifferently, ”Then let’s ignore them.”

Hill pressed his hands against the railing and sighed, ”We can’t ignore it! The Giant Dragons have already learned about the Divine Artifact.

Hmm... Rose’s subordinates are indeed quite adept at seduction.”

The silver-blue moonlight surrounding Celene couldn’t help but flicker: ”Are they crazy? That’s Shaer!”

”Precisely because it’s Shaer!” Lansendel, who was half-lying on the lawn basking in the sun, replied lazily, ”They’re here to eradicate evil, should we still rush up to stop them?

This is not the same as dealing with sorcerers!

I definitely won’t take action against these Metal Dragons.

And you?

Do you plan to publicly defend Shaer, even opposing the Giant Dragons of the Kind Alignment?”

Hill turned his head to look at the Lady of the Night, whose expression became sharp, ”I can only choose to defend, Lady Shaer.

Do you need to hire the Undead Tribe?”

Shaer coldly laughed, ”Rose isn’t trying to make the Giant Dragons confront me, but to sow discord between us.

It seems seeing the three of us fight together has made that spider a bit nervous!

To have even thought of such a plan.”

Celene became a bit anxious, ”Shaer... if you go to battle with the Kind Alignment, there’s nothing much I can do!

At most, help you gather some Primordial Chaos Power.

Hurry and hire the Undead Tribe!”

Shaer waved her empty hand, ”Ha~ if the Shadow Weave hadn’t been stripped away, even with a hundred guts, these Dragons wouldn’t dare compete with me for anything.

Is this thinking that I might lose my strong Divine Power?

Do you think it will only be the Steel Dragons making a move?”

”The Golden Dragons, Silver Dragons, and Mercury Dragons probably won’t.” Hill said slowly, ”Although our relationship can’t surpass treasures, before taking action, they’ll still give me a heads up.”

Terry and Tasding are still here!

”There definitely won’t be any Evil Faction Dragons taking action.” Lansendel flapped his wings, ”They won’t give me and Celene a reason to make a move.”

”Hmph~” The Dead Moon Magic Orb in Shaer’s other hand suddenly leapt into the air, flying wildly, ”I don’t need anyone’s help.

The Dead Moon Magic Orb?

From today onwards, it’ll be called the Darkmoon Magic Bead.”
