Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1045: Chapter 839: The Newly Appeared Boss and the Stolen Kill

A small flower staff extended from the fairy dragon carriage, and as a beautiful curve of white cut through the sky, a brilliant jasmine flower bloomed in the air.

Vila’s voice echoed through the sky: “Set out, my warriors!”

Hill tightly pressed his lips, fearing he might burst into laughter… For someone his age, the words ‘my warriors’ were truly an eternal memory!

The Undead Tribe set out in response.

The commotion caused by tens of thousands of knights jumping off the 20-meter-high Great Wall was massive, even though they all had the light body skill… The divine beasts fighting on the plains soon detected the movement on Alamir Mountain.

However, the speed of gathering among the divine beasts couldn’t compare with the Undead Tribe, so by the time the Undead Tribe’s charge was from above, the divine beasts hadn’t even formed an interception formation… Mainly because the nearby air god creature (fire god beast) looked too annoying, they couldn’t resist the urge to attack.

By the time these divine beasts realized the Undead Tribe’s target was Mil Forest instead of them, some had already given up… The sheer number of the Undead Tribe reminded them of the overwhelming fairies from a millennia ago.

Although as long as their leader was around, they weren’t afraid, but since the forest wasn’t their goal anyway, right?

Those with a hard head had long died at the foot of the Great Wall… The fire god beast and air god creature almost simultaneously fled to the sides, leaving the vast plains in between.

Even when a few ragged Kalinsanians suddenly jumped out from the corners of some rock crevices and charged into the midst of the Undead Tribe, the divine beasts, thinking about the larger number of human slaves in their territory, decided to let it go… Slaves who wouldn’t work honestly were captured and killed; there was no need to put in so much effort.

Thus, the Undead Tribe’s one-hour charge to Mil Forest seemed far yet relatively easy; the interception effort from the divine beasts wasn’t substantial… As long as the Undead Tribe didn’t head to the sides of the plains, they apparently had no intention of exerting force.

“These divine beasts… have a bit of a problem. They seem too rational, so the rupture of the Karin Manon Crystal wasn’t just a coincidence.” Celene calmly spoke, “Sure enough, Amanata wanting resurrection isn’t so easy.

He probably knew this and therefore insisted on pulling the little fairy over; let’s hope your Vila can maintain the current level of clarity.”

Hill tilted his head; was the Mil Forest in central Kalinsan the most crucial place?

Even though the Undead Tribe swiftly charged to the outskirts of the forest, those lesser divine beasts had long noticed these strange fairies eyeing them… Without even a thought of resistance, they directly retreated to the interior of the plains.

Only an unlucky air god creature was caught in questioning by a great divine beast, surrounded by the knights of the Undead Tribe… Seeing things looking bleak, the escaping great divine beast flew far away before bemusedly looking back: Compared to those lesser divine beasts, whose crystal core is just rubbish, it’s the elemental giants like him that are usually a top priority for hunters of divine beasts.

This was the first time someone chose lesser divine beasts over the real elemental giants!

Though somewhat confused, the enormous air god creature unhesitatingly turned back to his camp… Those who were barely considered elements due to bloodline infection, could be created anytime they wanted… They weren’t his kin and weren’t worth risking his life to save.

The lesser divine beast encircled tightly resisted frantically, but between their own lives and their followers’ lives, the enormous air god creatures chose their own… Indeed, they might not necessarily lose to those strange fairies at the edge of the forest, but during this time, some elemental giants were bound to die.

Under the severe bloodline suppression from the elemental giants, they didn’t believe those half-elements transformed from humans were worth any great divine beast’s life.

As for the other lesser divine beasts… When they gave up human bloodlines for advancement and eternal life, their companions weren’t worth fighting for.

“These… elemental giants have private ambitions.” Shaer also noticed something off, “They’re actually weighing pros and cons? How is that possible? Even if evil, elemental giants have singular minds!

Desire indeed dominates their reason… But their desires are limitless.

Could it be some elemental sovereign interfered?”

Shaer rarely gave such a lengthy discourse, Hill couldn’t help but ponder the reason: What Shaer meant by elemental sovereign could only be the evil elements.

They had their own planes, but couldn’t rule all elements within their planes or those there, only controlling their hometown plane’s Divine Kingdom. The evil elemental sovereigns would control as many weaker elements as possible, and as long as someone was controlled by him, this sovereign could transform into that element’s form.

These guys were troublesome and cunning, but couldn’t possibly have any impact on Shaer.

Could it be because of the common origin of the evil elemental sovereigns, that ancient elemental god?

If what appeared in Kalinsan was the pure bloodline of the Ancient Elemental God, then he would definitely have a body of burning magma, exuding damp smoke. The Fire God Beasts and Air God Creatures of Kalinsan would indeed be within his control.

As for the Kindly Elemental Sovereign and Princes, they were all born within the Elemental Realm to oppose these evil Sovereigns autonomously. At this time, it is impossible for them to enter Toril.

Hill frowned tightly. If a direct descendant of the Ancient Elemental God entered Toril, Vila would be in danger… Those guys loathe innocent and kind beings the most… Hill felt a bit uneasy, was Vila’s protective barrier lacking?

“Hill, don’t overestimate the enemy… Shaer doesn’t care about those fools in the Elemental Realm who dallied with the Mother of Chaos.” Celene laughed, “But she really dislikes that Smoke Elemental Creature Prince, Eckart, known as the Smoldering Duke.”

Hill felt a bit confused… That worthless prince who gets killed every time he steps out? Self-proclaimed descendant of the Ancient Elemental God, but actually just a weak little duke born in the Smoke Elemental Plane… And whether it’s the plane or the plane lord, they’re all the most annoying types in the Multiverse… Clearly, there are no competitors in his Elemental Plane, yet Eckart, going out with bodyguards, has more death experiences than Slime Baron Bivenbo next door… who is just a pushover!

But smoke is indeed a component of fire and air… but… Hill looked at the huge curtain where a gigantic Divine Beast was watching from afar, away from the Undead Tribe, and couldn’t help but question, “Him? How could it be? Either Karin or Mannan could stomp him to death, right?”

“It might be related to those guys who defected from humans to Divine Beasts.” Celene said with a smile, “Although Eckart is such a waste that even the Elemental Sovereigns do not want to acknowledge him, his temper and character are somewhat like a devil… Otherwise, he wouldn’t have colluded with the Magma Elemental Prince Chilibiya to murder the Kindly Fire Elemental Prince Baristia.

Originally, the Smoke Elemental Plane wasn’t as large as it is now; he stole a piece of Baristia’s origin.

But back then, he probably considered himself the main force in killing Baristia and dared to say he would ignite the whole world with smoke and fire, so that even in the Dark Night of Toril, shadows would not be seen.

Hmm… and then he started dying every time he stepped out.

Shaer, you were behind those first few times, weren’t you?”

“I thought he was a strong opponent, but it turned out he was just a boastful waste!” Shaer answered coldly, “So of course, I had to let him thoroughly understand what the existence of shadows means!”

Celene laughed joyfully: “Haha~ The first time you took down Eckart, Shaer, you must have had an existential crisis, right? Such a waste dared to defy the Shadow Plane~

I knew you must be annoyed by him. Even now, whenever Mask passes by the Elemental Plane and finds that guy left the Divine Kingdom, he sends him home personally.”

Shaer said coldly, “Later on, most of the interventions were by the Elemental Sovereigns. Regardless of the kind, Mask wasn’t interested enough to specifically deal with him, that’s a disgrace.”

Hill couldn’t help but laugh: “But with him around, some things aren’t that easy, are they?”

Celene said lightly, “Amanata’s resurrection will definitely face countless obstacles, even if Little Fairies bring many Undead Tribes, they can only relieve some battlefield pressure for him. It’s up to him to find the only key point amidst the chaos… AO only gave him a chance, but if he can’t seize it, he can only blame his own incompetence.”

Hill silently nodded… Both Celene and Shaer tacitly chose to remain on the sidelines, clearly disliking Amanata, especially Shaer.

It seems AO should have had a good talk with the two of them and got a promise of their “not causing trouble” to some extent.

But Shaer was clearly wavering, her dark silhouette under the tree started to stretch and wander around the garden.

Amanata combined with Eckart seemed to have exceeded her tolerance… Shaer’s patience for a lot of things is established on her indifference to anything… After all, once the world is destroyed, these people or things naturally won’t exist anymore.

If it were Celene, Shaer would come quicker than anyone else.

This was the first time Hill saw the Goddess of the Night agitated for other deities besides her own sister!

William is not counted; Shaer is in a better mood when mentioning William… He’s a male suitor who aligns with the goddess’s wish, and cannot be compared with those bootlickers Shaer looked down on in the past.

The Undead Tribe on the giant screen, after getting rid of that Lesser Divine Beast, started building defensive walls on the outermost part of the forest… except for a quick-handed Swordsman being besieged by a group of knights.

The knights surrounded that Divine Beast from both inside and outside with five layers, intending to let their people make a fortune… Except for some skilled mages, most mages didn’t dare cast spells into the crowd at that moment.

They didn’t expect that a Swordsman, perched in the tree staring at health bars, would poach the prey.

Failing to poach the prey truly is an unbearable weight of life!
