Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1028: Chapter 822: Vila’s Slacker Tendencies Cause Trouble

Looking at the orderly undead tribe on the giant screen, Celene suddenly said, ”The Space God System is really quite terrifying. Although it also has something to do with the fact that these Teraxil elves’ bodies are not real flesh and blood, such an overlapping space is not something ordinary people can accomplish.

When they attacked the Underdark, there were more people, but it wasn’t as obvious to see in the shadows.

The person Shaer has taken a liking to is indeed different... Fortunately, this ability has its limits, otherwise...”

She didn’t continue, but everyone present understood what she meant.

”You’re overthinking it,” Shaer said faintly, ”The reason it’s so powerful is because almost the entire Elf Deity System is involved in this... Haven’t you noticed that the runes used by these undead tribes are all ancient elf runes? I even saw the symbol of the Elf Runes Goddess.

Folded space is originally a feature of elf runes, and it has nothing to do with William.

Don’t use your simple mind to think about the problem... that will only invite ridicule.”

Hill watched the giant screen expressionlessly: Celene never cared about causing trouble for others, so she spoke her mind without caring whether it would bring trouble to the God of Time and Space and William. Perhaps she thought AO couldn’t ignore this issue, so it didn’t matter if she discussed it.

But the problem is, why do you have to point it out publicly?

Although Shaer is cold and selfish by nature, she really does protect the people she cares about... The Goddess of the Night deliberately magnified the importance of the Elf Deity System to lower the presence of William, whose divine power is not strong.

Although AO would surely understand that the reason the undead tribe can move freely in Toril is that the Elf Deity System provided the energy... the deities of Teraxil have shown no interest in intervening in Toril, and the actions of the undead tribe in Toril are considered restrained, but Shaer still emphasized it.

While she’s shown a rare interest in William, she doesn’t want him to become the next Tyr... if AO is determined to get William or the God of Time and Space into Toril to fill the gap, even if those two can keep themselves in check, the process would still be troublesome.

William probably informed Shaer that his relationship with the God of Time and Space is inseparable, sharing glory and loss.

As for Celene... she truly lives up to her reputation as the ancestor of chaos... she doesn’t have any hostility towards William but still speaks such trouble-inducing words. Her life’s greatest pursuit is to say what she wants and do what she wants.

Why is Lansendel the only one who becomes friends with Celene... even the Red-Haired Lady, who has sheltered her for so long, hasn’t deepened their friendship. Hill really understands more and more... Celene seems to be soft-hearted towards everyone, but she doesn’t truly care for anyone... the deeper meaning of ’Holy Light Shines’ is actually that no one is important to her.

Even Shaer is the only exception... although Celene has often put her twin sister in difficult positions, when Shaer truly shows her displeasure, Celene quickly retreats... Maybe the beatings over hundreds of thousands of years have made her a bit cautious after all.

Hill thought to himself, while both deities might cause trouble for friends and followers, Lansendel indeed puts forth genuine feelings... his biggest flaw is constantly trying to lead his friends to ascend... but the direction he flies is always wrong, and he ends up crashing into the Netherworld... but at least those friends tricked to death by him can still live on in his Divine Kingdom.

So now, with not many long-living elves willing to devote their faith to this calamitous being, humans remain eager to revere him... Lansendel’s reputation is still quite good, and even if the Divine Kingdom is overcrowded, he endeavors to open new heavens and expand his Divine Kingdom a bit more, rather than abandoning his followers.

The undead tribe on the giant screen have already established their camp and sent the avatar of the Temporal Artifact into the temple built in the center of the camp, causing Hill to raise his eyebrows slightly... It is a floral bud-shaped structure.

Five six-meter high light pink crystal petals converge at the roof, resembling a bud of a Jasmine Flower... at the base of these five petals are five large doors wide enough for ten people to enter side by side... it clearly embodies the identity of the owner of this building.

With Recorder from the Undead Tribe circling this beautiful structure... Vila has already joyfully rushed in with the little fairies.

A live broadcast camera followed Snow Cloud Peak inside together, revealing a circular palace within; the inner walls layered with a faint sheen of Xilaite Aosteel, recognizable by its deeper hue compared to ordinary steel and unique iridescent veins emitting peculiar glows. This architect with an artistic flair used those glowing veins to fill the interior of this temple with forest and floral sea paintings and the fairy tales of Romance.

At the far end of the hall floats a King’s Platform three meters above the ground, and behind the platform stands a lifelike statue of Vila, towering four meters tall.

Snow Cloud Peak swiftly moved to the side hall on the left... the interior of the Floral Bone Palace is divided into three unequal parts... the central hall appearing as the largest, with the Temporal Artifact’s base on the left side, and the fairies’ residence on the right side.

Hill is very certain this is not William’s level of appreciation, that guy truly likes waves of steel and knows he’s unfit for the fantasy world... most importantly, the Western architecture he can remember should almost be used up by Saral.

This Floral Bone Palace is elegant and romantic yet brimmed with a natural aura, a quintessential Elf style, yet with a hint of girlish flavor... Coron himself prefers starry skies and trees, so which Elf Goddess’s style is this?

As Hill contemplated... Vila already placed her Ice Dragon Throne she took out from the carriage onto the floating King’s Platform... The fairy didn’t choose to store the Alchemy Carriage but had it placed horizontally behind the King’s Platform, with the small carriage door opening just on the right side of the throne.

Although Vila trusted the undead tribe’s professionalism, she didn’t trust them to protect her with their lives... she trusted more in Hill’s protective carriage for her... to her, the worst outcome would merely be hiding in the carriage and waiting for the battle to end... she didn’t think the undead tribe would fail completely.

The fairies accompanying her all landed on the various floating cloud platforms akin to clouds floating in the hall... one meter lower than the height of the throne, yet sufficient for their daily flights.

Once Vila seated herself on the throne, a light blossomed from the side hall where the Temporal Artifact resided... the Temporal Artifact unified the entire camp.

The giant screen once again divided into two, one viewing the palace’s interior, and the other focusing on the organized camp... when the undead tribe waiting on the ice surface began streaming in ceaselessly, their families’ Alchemy Castles capable of accommodating millions were already situated.

Some families among the undead tribes even placed several castles with a distinctive architectural style... suitable only for beings like the undead, who could fluidly inhabit it.

As Vila comfortably settled herself on the throne, a tiny, rhombus-shaped crystal flew from the left side harboring the Temporal Artifact toward her. Without hesitation, she accepted it while the webcam followed ’Snow Cloud Peak’ walking in together, leading to a circular palace. Its inner walls layered with a faint sheen from the Xilaite Aosteel—a material well identified by its deeper color and colorful veiny glow, utilized artfully by that artistic architect to paint the entirety of the temple’s interior space with tales of forests, flower seas, and whimsical fairy tales.

Enveloping the endpoint of the entrance stood a four-meter-high lifelike statue of Vila behind the floating King’s Platform.

Picking up her Ice Dragon Throne from the carriage, Vila placed it on the floating platform. She trusted the competence of the Undead Tribe but didn’t trust their professionalism entirely, though she didn’t expect them to utterly fail.

Vila, having just comfortably seated herself on the throne, now attentively observed the small rhombus crystal descending from the left of the Temple where the Temporal Artifact was located.

While following Vila from behind ’Snow Cloud Peak’ and walking inside together, the interior of this bud-like palace was perceived, divided into three parts of differing sizes...the middle hall was the largest, the inner walls were faintly covered in Xilaite Aosteel, recognized by its deep hue and peculiar glowing lines. This art-minded Architect used the glowing veins to adorn the whole interior of the temple with stories of forests, sea of flowers, and romantic little fairy tales.

Floating at the far back of the great hall was a three-meter high King’s Platform, behind which was an almost lifelike, four-meter-tall statue of Vila.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ quickly headed to the side hall on the left... The interior of this Floral Bone Palace was divided into three parts of varying sizes... the main hall in the center being the most spacious, with a final King’s Platform hovering three meters above the floor at the end of its grand hall, behind which stood a lifelike, four-meter-high statue of Vila.

Vila cheerfully brought the little fairies who immediately dashed inside the beautifully designed building... and to the right-side dormitory of the fairies to scramble for rooms inside.

She had faith in the professionalism of the Undead Tribe but didn’t quite trust them entirely to the point of not doubting their complete success.

The live stream camera follows ’Snow Cloud Peak’ as he strides into the left side hall... he whispers to a nearby small diamond crystal floating over from the Temporal Artifact stationed there.

Given that the fairies undeniably favored Vila for queen over Titania, if Vila makes questionable decisions, it’s foreseen that these high-spirited fairies would escalate it... and now having soared to their lodgings on the fairy side to claim their quarters, they found themselves competing.
