Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1043: Chapter 837: Ownership of the Hunting Horn

’Lu Huayu’ looked somewhat helplessly at his boss who had entered the battlefield once again. After reminding him several times, he finally gave up hope... Their team even had a Knight retire early just to share some of the damage for him... If the Earth Guardian Knight, who can take considerable damage for his teammates just by standing on the ground, can’t hold his ground, then there’s truly no hope left.

Those few teams weren’t part of large families after all... Their equipment was somewhat lacking, and several had already fallen, while on the other side, the alliance of three families only had two casualties so far.

When their advantage turned into a stalemate, their hopes grew even dimmer.

Lu Huayu turned his head to observe... He better make sure his boss ends up dead at the hands of Baldy and his group... That Sanda King with his one-handed hammer eyeing their boss hungrily was out of the question... Can’t have the boss getting crushed by a Priest.

What if he gets embarrassed and insists on changing characters?

Even though everyone knows it’s him, just changing names equates to rebirth for the boss... But finding someone to carry the boss from level 0 back to Toril is something Lu Huayu finds hard to bear... This game doesn’t have a feature for newcomers to accelerate their leveling.

Even though quite a few newcomers still join... They are here to experience the fun of an Otherworld game, so they don’t mind spending months to level up.

But their boss is not that leisurely... Just arranging people to level him up fast is enough to make his hair turn grey on one side, after all, the boss wants to be fast yet doesn’t have the patience to train following others all day long.

The boss has only re-leveled two characters, yet he’s already been blacklisted by several training studios... Those were connections Lu Huayu had spent years accumulating!

Directing the boss to retreat left and advance right, Lu Huayu thought heavily: It’s fine! Better than having a troublesome boss who doesn’t listen... Making money is important, making money is most important!

As the Apocalyptic Boss fell under Baldy’s two-handed hammer... Many had tacitly allowed the Black Rose people to deliver the final blow, given that the rich Young Master from Doomsday was notoriously arrogant and domineering, and ordinary people wouldn’t stand a chance if he wanted revenge later.

Although Sanda King worked hard, relentlessly hammering with all his might, Lu Huayu still barely preserved his boss’s last shred of dignity... For this, he even got himself caught in Rain Falling on Mortal Dust’s Lightning Chain.

As the Apocalyptic Boss burst into light and dashed out of the Oak Forest... They were teleported out before their health fell to its lowest. This was the festive celebration of the harvest, and Vila would surely ensure no one dies during the celebration.

Lu Huayu also vanished amidst the lightning... The battle naturally slid toward the alliance of three families.

Though only one person remained from Black and White Path... That Water Mage couldn’t withstand focused fire. Their family brought all magic-based professions, with very high attack power... The other side lost at least five people to them, yet they themselves suffered even more retaliatory attacks.

Hill had somewhat understood that this five-person team was essentially formed to help Mobi Chenxin secure the final victory... It’s evident that three of the young girls inside lost their rationality due to the downfall of the Space-Time Warlock.

Tsk!

Hill seeing this almost felt he could understand why others... even those unrelated with Black and White Path... would go straight to focusing fire on Mobi Chenxin... Such animosity!

Moreover, that whole-hearted Maiden Fenmo hasn’t even appeared yet!

Men, even if they have no emotional needs, still want to pound those grabby, possessive guys!

Black Rose still had three people left... The Elder Sanda King Priest was the only remaining healing profession alive, while the other two were Perfect Bald and Rain Falling on Mortal Dust.

Battle Field had two survivors... The people on Black and White Path seemed to bear a grudge for them arriving late, keeping some distance during the fight, so although Battle Field’s Knights were thick-skinned, they couldn’t completely withstand the bombardment.

Were it not for a high priest who showered evenly, the two might not have held out to the end.

So spectators could see clearly... The relationship between Black and White Path and Battle Field became even worse.

As for the other side... Doomsday was wiped out, being the main target... So the remaining three teams were left with 9 people in total.

Although it was 7 versus 9, one side had a high priest with foresight... So as imagined, the battle was one-sided.

However, realizing their inability to compete evenly, they desperately took away a few folks... Especially Rain Falling on Mortal Dust who was at the commanding center; the opponent was willing to wipe out three people together just to take him down, and even the Elder Sanda King using his strongest healing spell couldn’t save his life.

Finally, 4 people remained at the center of the battlefield... Black and White Path had one, Battle Field had one, Black Rose had two.

Baldy and Sanda King exchanged a look, then directly swung their hammers at Battle Field’s Knight... However, that Knight didn’t even think, instead charging boldly toward the remaining Fire Element Mage of Black and White Path.

”So, although they’re allies, these two still have closer ties to that Knight’s family?” Celene, seeing this, finally made an accurate judgment.

Hill smiled and nodded: She was right... Only when they felt there wouldn’t be any awkwardness, would Baldy and the others first target the people from the Battlefield.

If it were before, they would have chosen Black and White Path, after all, the Battlefield came even later... It seems the rumor about Black and White Path wanting to be independent is not just hearsay.

Black Rose unconsciously stopped treating Black and White Path as an ally... Though they’re still a friendly family, the gap between them is starkly displayed on the giant screen.

When the Knight from the Battlefield turned into a Light Orb and flew out of the Oak Forest, the Mage from Black and White Path was already half-crippled, and Baldy hammered him out... So, in the end, it was an internal battle for Black Rose.

”Baldy, can’t you give me a break?” said the ’Old Age Striking King’ in a rare moment of weakness.

”If I could summon a pet, I’d probably have been crushed by a Dragon by now,” ’Perfect Bald’ said, unmoved. ”This is what Liu Liu wants.”

Sanda King pouted... There’s no choice... This guy is usually easygoing, but when it comes to Liu Liu, he’s more effective than a decree.

Just have to give it my all... It’s a pity her animal friends can’t join the battle, otherwise, what business would Baldy have here?

The battle between a short-legged Knight and a Priest who can heal themselves and run incredibly fast was thrilling... Yet made everyone watch with painful expressions.

This wasn’t a smooth and exhilarating fight... Though both sides performed at a professional level, their professions made the battle tedious and dull.

When, half an hour later, the ’Old Age Striking King’ regretfully transformed into a Light Point and disappeared, even Vila was almost out of it... She had never seen such a boring battle!

Dodge! Run! Heal and run back to smash!

As for the Knight opposite, waving a Two-Handed Hammer but couldn’t catch up... Had it not been for the Priest seeming to run out of mana at the end, who knows if they would have fought till the end of time!

Moreover, when catching the Emerald Butterfly at the end, ’Perfect Bald’ cornered the butterfly into a dead end to catch it... Otherwise, he wouldn’t even touch the halo on the butterfly’s tail!

When he carried the Emerald Butterfly to the exit and handed it to the Little Fairy Queen on the carriage, Vila’s expression seemed a bit split... Although Little Fairies aren’t strong, they never make mistakes in agility!

So when Vila solemnly handed the horn to ’Perfect Bald’, she couldn’t help but say: ”You can buy a pair of Speed Boots for 12,000 gold.”

Witnessing this, Hill couldn’t help but laugh, Vila really dislikes Baldy’s running speed!

12,000 gold for Speed Boots, even if Baldy were killed, he wouldn’t buy them.

Accompanying Vila in awarding, ’Snow Cloud Peak’ couldn’t help but relax his furrowed brows and happily laugh... Seems he’s a bit troubled by the issues the competition has exposed within the Alliance.

No matter what decision Black and White Path makes in the end, the impact on their Alliance is significant... At least the Battlefield can no longer maintain friendly relations with Black and White Path.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ shook his head and joyfully joined his companions in mocking ’Perfect Bald’... As for other matters, what can he do? Deal with them when the time comes!

The perfect execution of the Equinox Hunt Ceremony made Vila very happy... Though the spoils weren’t gained by a member of the Little Fairies, compared to the current Queen of Joyous Court, Vila, who prefers following the ancient rules of the Primordial Queen of Light, didn’t mind.

Back then, the Fairy Court held the Harvest Festival in the oldest forest—the Primitive Earth Oak Forest—where Elves and many natural creatures could participate, otherwise, why would the horn have such a feast function?

Most Fairies only eat nectar and fruits!

Though Titania elevated the court to the Stellar Realm, transforming herself from a long-lived Little Fairy Queen to an immortal deity, she indeed led the Little Fairies onto a path of dependence for survival.

When Vila decided to seize the throne, she planned to restore some of the previous rules... Only true braves could receive the rewards from the Harvest Festival.

Even if it means for decades, or even centuries, she can only make horns for braves of other races!

Vila silently pursed her lips, observing the Little Fairies despondent over being out early and having to watch the horn given to the giant Elf... She hoped some would feel ashamed and strive forward!

Vila rode the carriage back to the Queen’s Hall, raised both hands to announce the victory and conclusion of the Equinox Hunt Ceremony, and the next target for the Little Fairy army... With the natural cycle of the Alamir Mountain Range finished, they could prepare to advance to Mil Forest.

’Snow Cloud Peak’ looked at Vila with a bit of surprise, then furiously tapped on his tablet.
