Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1017: Chapter 811: The Fieriest Sun Gives Birth to the Most Indifferent Deity

Cheering suddenly erupted from the giant screen… The Undead Tribe had finally found the hidden treasure trove 100 meters beneath a workshop.

Hill couldn’t help but take a look and then felt a bit disappointed to find that, although this storeroom was indeed full of jewels and precious metal materials, filling the entire 500-square-meter Blue Oak Rock room, there was nothing particularly special.

Although there were many gemstones, they were all common varieties… the kind Hill could buy whenever he wanted—valuable, yet meaningless to him.

He silently sighed… As his abilities grew stronger, Hill found it increasingly difficult to be surprised by anything.

Shock, however, was abundant.

Hill silently rested his chin in contemplation… When Toril opened its doors once more, should he consider leaving?

But he still hadn’t seen the Mithril Energy Core!

Hill hadn’t forgotten why he was initially interested in this ghostly place called Toril… He truly wanted a powerful Floating City that would never exhaust its energy.

Though the Floating Castle looked fine, it could only exist within the Puzzle Lock. Once it left this energy gathering center, it would require a massive consumption of Energy Baryte… Although Hill indeed had many Crystal Stones, he could also find ways to search for energy in the Elemental Realm if ever in urgent need.

But in that case, the Floating City couldn’t be used for cosmic travel… Even Hill would find that a bit excessive… He could only mint money, not create Crystal Stones.

Even though he now had Purwell, allowing him to temporarily not worry about the spaceship issue, Hill was also concerned that one day, that Otherworldly Whale might find a place it didn’t want to leave… As long as there were souls, there would always be a homeward path.

Besides, Purwell’s voyage also required a large consumption of Crystal Stones.

Thus, the nearly inexhaustible energy of the Mithril Energy Core truly made Hill envious… With Li Si and a multitude of Puppets, he didn’t need to worry about the issue of crew members at all.

Hill stood up, glanced around his small garden, and realized he only had two days left before he could start constructing the half-plane inside Purwell.

His initial spur-of-the-moment thought really did break him a huge favor… If he considered that this half-plane wasn’t big enough and decided to craft it directly in the Universe, even if completed, he couldn’t enter it now… It was also highly likely to be snatched directly by someone else.

When the half-plane formally forms, although not a complete world, it will show some special Laws appearing… If some precious materials were added during the crafting, it would add some buffs like those of the Heavenly Mountain or the Bottomless Abyss to the half-plane.

Therefore, even the smallest half-plane would emit some light… In the dark Universe, a sudden burst of light, at the very least, is like newly-formed stars, which would also bring about very precious materials.

Therefore, as long as someone sees this light, someone is bound to check it out… And that half-plane would practically be a gift to others.

As for whether this would happen to other Archmages… Of course not. Even if they were crafting their half-plane in recent years, Archmages wouldn’t be wandering around elsewhere like Hill.

For them, time is far more valuable than a half-plane… Boredom is a sentiment only young people have.

But someone of Hill’s age, among those Archmages capable of crafting half-planes, could really be considered a young brat… His curiosity is simply uncontrollable.

Toril is so lively, Hill surely couldn’t resist going back to the surface to take a look. Just thinking about Edna and those amusements… If he missed it, what a pity that would be!

Even a half-plane couldn’t save him from his dismay.

After Shaer left, Celene hadn’t made any sound, but that moonlight still steadily shone in the pool… Hill glanced at his garden; at this rate, he truly suspected that these various flowers, plants, and trees, each with different poses and colors, would all eventually turn silver-white… Those with lighter colors had already started tinting with moon color.

Luckily, since Shaer always visited, the extent of Celene’s moonlight erosion wasn’t too strong yet. Hill pondered, then walked to the Crystal Flower and placed numerous Water Crystals at its base… Better to let Agleya turn into Mist City, than let it become the City of Moonlight!

Celene might be a good friend, but certainly not a suitable ally… She should stick with Lansendel’s teamwork! It’s hard to tell who gains the upper hand, everyone benefits.

Hill turned to glance at the giant screen… The undisputed Undead Tribe were celebrating with gestures, having concluded their underground journey this time.

Returning home was their final task; they didn’t even plan on establishing a camp at this volcano… Otherwise, they wouldn’t have buried those Dilo Dwarves on the spot.

If they wanted to claim this place, the Undead Tribe would just blow up the volcano once and for all.

Speaking of which, during this Underground journey of the Undead Tribe, only two strongholds were left in the end: one revival point that hasn’t entered the Underdark and another one that’s just on the periphery… that area was originally frequented by Toril people, so it doesn’t affect the original distribution of power in the Underdark much.

No wonder AO hasn’t paid much attention to the actions of the Undead Tribe since William clearly doesn’t intend to overly intervene in the affairs of the Underdark… He hasn’t crossed AO’s warning line, so the Creator God with the peculiar style hasn’t bothered about the actions of the Undead Tribe.

Hill sometimes feels like AO is collecting stamps… He truly wishes to gather all the things and people in the multiverse that he hasn’t seen before.

As long as it doesn’t exist in Toril, even if it’s devils and demons, he doesn’t mind them appearing in his world.

He is indeed strong enough, allowing Toril to persist tenaciously in such a complex environment, and to some extent, compared to other similar universes, Toril is actually not bad… at least it’s prosperous enough.

“Hill.” A weak voice sounded in his ear.

Vila, hiding in the pink blossoms of the golden silk pendant butterfly tree, cautiously revealed a side of her face: “Are the Teraxil Elves coming back? Can I start gathering those willing to go to Kalinsan with me?”

Her expression of relief made Hill helplessly smile… Villa was quite reluctant to leave Agleya at first! Now she seems eager to embark as soon as possible.

The presence of Celene and Shar seemed to have greatly frightened her… especially the possibility of them starting a fight at any time, making the little fairy with fragile nerves somewhat unable to cope.

“You can take the little fairies who want to leave with you and go to the Alchemy Hall to discuss with the temporal artifact,” Hill said gently, “The Teraxil Elves have just completed a war, so they might not immediately decide to go to Kalinsan.

This requires good communication with the temporal artifact and with Coron and William who manage the Teraxil Elves outside Toril… As an outsider, I can’t participate in wars unrelated to me in Toril, Vila, you can only strive for yourself.”

Hill looked at the little fairy with a difficult expression, smiling yet speaking firmly: “To become a real queen, Vila, you must do these seemingly troublesome things yourself.

Relying on others is never a choice for queens… even if wearing a crown, you would only be a princess sitting high.”

Vila hugged her little flower staff tightly, feeling a bit dejected, but she eventually chose to fly to the ground with hundreds of little fairies.

She has always hoped to wear the crown during the most important summer festival of the little fairies, becoming the new Fairy Queen… although there are still two months to go, the time feels too tight for the little fairies.

So she must have negotiated with the Undead Tribe before that… Ideally on the day of wearing the crown, she should lead her followers departing for Kalinsan.

Hill looked sadly at Vila’s resolute figure… What a joke, the most fickle little fairy has suddenly become a queen with great ambition!

“Her destiny line is already entwined with Amanata’s Holy Grail… trying to untangle it won’t be easy,” Celene suddenly spoke, “I once tried to make her wake up a bit… it’s truly excessive to twist the will of a little fairy like this!

She’s not much better than those beastified people who turn into beasts upon being bitten, which I really dislike.

But it is impossible… the sun always rises on schedule every day.

The connection between Amanata and the sun isn’t something that can easily be severed.”

Hill pursed his lips, thanking softly: “No matter the outcome, I appreciate your help, although I have prepared for the worst, I’m not entirely in despair… Even if I can’t change Vila’s fate, as long as she’s alive, she’ll have a day of awakening.

When the Sun God returns to the Divine Throne, I suppose he won’t pay much attention to a little fairy, even if she played a significant role in his resurrection… He only needs to thank his own Holy Grail.

As long as she lives, there is hope.”

“Actually, I don’t understand either… why the most passionately burning sun I’ve retrieved manifests as a deity like Amanata? Honestly, the hottest sun yet born the coldest deity,” Celene murmured, “But if he were another Lansendel, he might be scary as well.”

Hill’s face remained unchanged, but internally, he couldn’t help grumbling: Do you know Lansendel is unreliable? How much do you understand about yourself?

Hill gently lifted his eyelids, quickly lowered them again, staring at his hand on the table, filled with curiosity.

Yet he has a feeling that while Celene still doesn’t think she was wrong, nor understands what putting oneself in others’ shoes means, she somewhat sensed why Shar is dissatisfied… so she was willing to forego her hatred for her sister.

This is something many people should understand after growing up… However, the eternal Maiden of the Moon only comprehended a little after being harshly beaten by her sister for hundreds of thousands of years.
