Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2086: series of blows (2)

The road in the swamp wasnʼt very wide. Both sides had heavy transport vehicles, so they could barely pass each other. But if soldiers were posted on both sides of the transport vehicles, one side would definitely have to give way.

According to the regulations of the vast majority of races, soldiers must guard both sides of transport vehicles.

So the two sides met in the middle of the road, and both stopped.

According to the previous situation, the Huaitang Clan convoy would give way and then launch a probe. But now that they had decided to attack, naturally, there was no need to give way.

Beikan watched with interest from the center of the team, waiting for the Star-Eye Clan to come to negotiate.

But what surprised him was that the Star-Eye Clan actually moved—they were... giving way.

”Tsk, a bunch of spineless things.” Beikan sneered mockingly, looking down on the Star-Eye Clan even more. Previously, he thought they had made some progress after winning the Novice First and receiving assistance from the Changxu Water Race, which was also about to be eliminated. But they were still so cowardly, not even daring to argue over the road with the Huaitang Clan.

Since the other side gave way, the Huaitang Clan grain transport team started moving again. But they arrogantly chose to split into two teams, left and right, surrounding the Star-Eye Clan convoy in the middle.

Not only that, but as they passed by the Star-Eye Clan warriors, they whistled, told dirty jokes, and made insulting gestures.

Soon, their team was about to surround the Star-Eye Clan transport team completely.
At this point, Beikan had also walked to the middle section of the Star-Eye Clan transport team. Attacking from here could directly halve the opposing transport team.

Once they were in chaos, everything would be over.

But Beikan suddenly realized a problem: he seemed to have forgotten to tell his subordinates earlier that when they attacked later, they should try to slash the opponentsʼ heads. If they damaged the Star-Eye Clanʼs Ke Steel-grade battle armor, that would be a huge loss.

Sigh, probably these brutes would get carried away killing and wouldnʼt care.

Beikan could only pray that not too much armor would be damaged later.

He glanced at the rear of the team; the encirclement was basically complete. They could attack.

He stuck out his tongue and licked his lips—this was his sign of excitement.

A battle destined for victory didnʼt involve tension or fear at all; only excitement remained.

But just before attacking, Beikan suddenly noticed something.

These Star-Eye Clan warriors, looking at them, also showed no tension or fear, only... excitement.

Beikan still swung his blade.

This seemed like a signal; both sides almost attacked simultaneously.

Yes, simultaneously.

The Huaitang Clan people, who should have been the ambushers, were instead startled by the Star-Eye Clan attacking at the same time.

In fact, the enemyʼs attacks were even a bit faster.

How was this possible? Since when did these Star-Eye Clan bronze warriors react so quickly?

”Weʼve been waiting for you!” Wu Qian burst out from suddenly opened compartments of several heavy transport vehicles, landing directly in front of Beikan.

”Huaitang Clan trash, die!”

”Slash!”

Wu Qianʼs roar echoed throughout the swamp. The Star-Eye Clan warriors heard it and swung their weapons forward in unison.

If someone from the Su Clan were here, they would have noticed long ago that these Star-Eye Clan bronze warriors maintained a very strange formation while moving—a formation, a constantly moving formation.

In the eyes of the Huaitang Clan, the Star-Eye Clan had no order, scattered positions, but actually, the bronze warriors all stayed in their proper positions.

With Wu Qianʼs command to slash, a wave of blade light flashed across the entire swamp.

Screams immediately rang out.

”Whatʼs going on?”

”Are there others?”

”Here they come again!”

The Huaitang Clan became chaotic from the first contact.

Beikan was also startled because he encountered the same problem his subordinates faced.

This problem was... when a Star-Eye Clan member slashed once, the attack that came was actually two!

Beikan swore that the second attack, identical and following like a shadow, appeared out of thin air. No wonder many Huaitang Clan warriors instinctively thought someone was helping to ambush from the side.

”Be careful, itʼs weird!”

Beikan shouted for everyone to be careful, but few responded.

Because after the Star-Eye Clan moved, the second slash came down.

This time, the Huaitang Clan was prepared, but still many were hit.

The extra attack didnʼt have a set pattern of appearing on the left or right; presumably, the Star-Eye Clan warriors could control it.

The two attacks occurred within a short time. However, these few hundred Huaitang Clan warriors lost half their numbers immediately.

Their individual strength was indeed much higher than the Star-Eye Clan bronze warriors, but donʼt forget: first, their numbers were fewer, half that of the Bronze Campʼs First Thousand-Person Team. Second, their weapons and equipment were much worse; the others had Ke Steel-grade, while theirs were rubbish. Finally, though they intended to ambush, they were actually the ambushed party, ambushed by Bronze Camp warriors who had learned the ʼShadow Sword Light Array,ʼ each with an extra sword light—that meant an extra thousand attacks. Two rounds meant two thousand attacks; plus the original, that was four thousand attacks. Four thousand attacks falling on enemies, half the number of the First Thousand-Person Team meant several hundred hits were too normal.

The Furelai gap between them was already somewhat offset by weapons, equipment, and numbers. Facing several times more attacks, even if the Huaitang Clan people were stronger, they couldnʼt handle it.

The initial victory greatly boosted the Star-Eye Clan warriorsʼ morale, making their attacks faster. Their earlier unfamiliarity with the formationʼs positioning and attacks also became increasingly fluid.

”What are they using?!”

Every attack turning into two made the Huaitang Clan warriors very confused and very afraid. After all, those attacks werenʼt randomly released but followed the formation. How could ordinary warriors resist the power of a formation that condensed the wisdom of countless predecessors?

The Huaitang Clan numbers went from at least half of the First Thousand-Person Team to a quarter, then an eighth...

When less than a hundred remained, the Huaitang Clan team collapsed. Beikan was the first to flee.

He felt utterly frustrated. He could clearly sense that the opponent, who should be the Thousand-Person Leader, wasnʼt as strong as him. Even with the formationʼs help, he could suppress the opponent. But the other side had helpers, many of them, trapping Beikan, forcing him to watch his subordinates being surrounded and killed one by one.

Now, not running was no longer an option; the numbers were too disparate.

But this was a swamp, with complex terrain, water pits and hidden wells everywhere, making escape very slow. Less than a hundred people, each chased by seven or eight pursuers—escaping was... really difficult.

Half an hour later, all First Thousand-Person Team members gathered here, then cleaned up the battlefield.

”Captain, what about this grain?” the deputy came to ask Wu Qian.

Wu Qian, who was already angry and depressed about losing over twenty people in this battle, immediately said, ”Burn it along with these guysʼ bodies! We donʼt eat this garbage anyway. Oh, cut off the head of their strongest fighter and throw it into the lake here, leaving something for others to remember.”
