Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2078.5 - Open

A completely unblocked passage appeared before their eyes.

Charge!

This was the only thought.

All Cloud Peak air force units not yet entangled by the enemy began charging frantically towards that layer of substance. Many sky riders or flying life forms with long-range skills started pouring everything they had onto that protective shield-like thing.

The flying parasites began intercepting, continuously using their bodies, even lives, to block these Cloud Peak warriors. Originally, they werenʼt at an advantage; they were at a considerable disadvantage. Now, with such chaotic combat, encountering Cloud Peakʼs air force, which had thrown caution to the wind, casualties soared even more. This situation was even somewhat similar to when the green-skinned monsters inside broke through the human defense line to charge at Xia Lei, and the humans went to intercept.

The passage the Undead Dragonfish fought desperately for had now become a bloody slaughterhouse and meat grinder. From falling from the sky and crashing onto the ground battlefield, even if they didnʼt die from the fall, they would be killed by the enemy.

At this moment, the sky and ground battlefields were connected through these fallen lives from both sides!

The red hair sphere at Red Hairʼs side suddenly exploded. The three top-tier life forms inside rushed out, but one was swiftly heading towards the gray substance, while the other entangled Red Hair, buying time for its companion.

If there were a top-tier life form guarding the isolation space created by the green-skinned monsters, the result would be completely different. Holding out a bit longer would increase the success rate of their companionsʼ surprise attack inside.

Both sides understood that the key now lay here. If the parasites could kill all in Cloud Peakʼs command center before this ʼegg shellʼ was broken, they would win. If the humans could rescue their commander before she died, then the humans would win.
There were many visible wounds on Red Hairʼs body.

Like her, like the Undead Dragonfish, and like other Cloud Peak life forms on the battlefield now, it wasnʼt that they didnʼt know other combat methods; the situation forced them to resolve the battle quickly, so, besides fighting desperately, there was no other way.

Wanting a quick, decisive battle inevitably meant paying a price.

Otherwise, with Red Hairʼs current abilities and the Undead Fish-Dragonʼs cooperation, not to mention three flying top-tier parasites that could only use their bodies, even four or five, they could handle them.

But now, they could only use injury-for-injury tactics to strive for an earlier kill.

Seeing a top-tier parasite about to intercept Cloud Peakʼs forces, Red Hairʼs long spear shot out like lightning. Then, all her hair turned into thorny vines, wrapping around her and her nearby enemy, crashing together. Afterwards, large amounts of magma emerged from these thorny vines, igniting both her and the enemy.

Countless magma drops fell like rain, turning the ground below into hell. There were not only parasites there but also Cloud Peak fighters. But at this time, Red Hair really couldnʼt care about anything else.

Fortunately, just like the Undead Dragonfish directly choosing to fight the enemy to the death, Red Hair also used this method to burn the already injured opponent to ashes. But this near-suicidal fighting method made her unable to maintain flight posture. She fell from the sky covered in wounds. At this moment, her originally floor-length hair now only reached her waist.

While falling, Red Hairʼs gaze followed the spear she had thrown. Now, it was being swatted away by that top-tier monster; its claw happened to hit the spearʼs shaft. Red Hair clenched her outstretched hand, and the spear suddenly exploded, turning into a large amount of magma that surged onto the level-nine life formʼs body. Its flesh and blood were corroded and consumed by this magma, which Red Hair had nurtured for who knows how long.

Red Hair and the Undead Dragonfish, at the cost of themselves, opened a path to that ʼegg shellʼ for other Cloud Peak life forms in the shortest time.

……………………………………

Inside the eggshell, Yangos made a decision.

It wasnʼt that it wanted to escape or surrender, but after observing the situation, it needed to make its own judgment.

Even Xia Lei handed the decision-making power to Yangos.

The evil dragon knew its current state. Although it used an ability to sleep for a while and recovered some injuries, it was still far from its true, intact state.

Yangos could not handle the several hundred thousand green-skinned monsters opposite now.

It had to break open this place first to resolve Xia Leiʼs crisis.

”Watch Old Dragonʼs move.”

Regardless of the outcome, Yangosʼs mouth didnʼt yield. It sucked in its belly, then spat a dragonʼs breath at the area in front of Xia Lei. Large swathes of scorching flame gas incinerated the green-skinned monsters that had charged nearby into nothingness, clearing the space before Xia Lei.

Then the evil dragon soared into the sky, instantly reaching near the egg shell, and spat dragonʼs breath again.

The scorching and powerful flames crashed onto the eggshell, making it shake, but it didnʼt break.

Yangos didnʼt pause, spitting a third dragonʼs breath.

However, compared to the previous two, the duration and scale of this dragonʼs breath were much smaller.

The eggshell shook again, but still didnʼt shatter.

The green-skinned monsters below had gone crazy. They couldnʼt stop Yangos, so they could only kill Xia Lei. As long as they killed this woman, what did it matter if the egg shell shattered!

”Old Dragon... grandpa, Iʼm out of strength.” Yangos gasped heavily. The strength it recovered was only enough for three dragon breaths. No, actually, only enough for two. The third one was the evil dragon desperately consuming its own life essence to use, but it still didnʼt shatter the eggshell.

The evil dragon glanced below. The green-skinned monsters were already very close to Xia Lei; at most, in a few seconds, they would charge before her.

”Dammit, I havenʼt even found a wife yet!”

After saying this, Yangos lowered its head, flapped its wings hard, and, using its dragon horns and body, mustered its last strength to crash into the eggshell.

The sound of something cracking spread throughout the battlefield!
