Apocalypse Gachapon

Chapter 2064: Evil Dragon battle in the skies

Yangos breathed a dragonʼs breath, but it did not spray onto its opponent. Instead, it incinerated a group of parasites below into charred corpses.

Though Yangos appeared crazed, it was clearer than ever about what it needed to do.

The current Yangos might still be crafty, evil, and brutal, but it had lost its previous restlessness and lack of awareness.

Once, its ideal was to become a level nine lifeform, a top-tier existence. It never thought deeply about why; perhaps it was searching for something, but more than that, it yearned for unconstrained freedom.

But now, Yangos no longer thought this way. It was very satisfied with its current life.

Cloud Peak now had over ten top-tier lifeforms, none weaker than Yangos. Although the evil dragon believed its strength could rank third, oh no, fourth among them—after watching Mo Ye kill Wang Hanran, it thought Mo Ye was also a bit stronger.

But regardless, it was undeniable that if Yangos were on its own, Cloud Peak wouldnʼt even need to dispatch war teams to hunt it; any two top-tier lifeforms could harvest its magic crystal.

So Yangos felt fortunate, and it became much more obedient than before. It would resolutely complete tasks assigned by Xia Lei.

Apart from personal reasons, Liu Zhenghong also, intentionally or unintentionally, told the evil dragon that Cloud Peak would have countless top-tier lifeforms in the future, and that no one was indispensable. Especially with large Beast Pool equipment and Lanyou, top-tier war beasts would outnumber top-tier evolved in the future. Anyone who disobeyed would be eliminated, becoming ʼmeat pigsʼ, contributing level nine magic crystals.

Yangos felt a chill all over when it heard this. It believed the Black-hearted Queen would truly do such things. Later, if there were many top-tier war beasts and an important Cloud Peak personnel, like Xia Bai, needed a level nine magic crystal, a disobedient war beast might really be slaughtered.
Hence, the evil dragon became quite obedient thereafter, even reducing its trips to bully male beasts and dominate female beasts in the desolate mountains and forests.

This time, although Xia Lei didnʼt give Yangos very specific tasks, everyone knew the main purpose was to kill these parasites. The evil dragon kept the objective firmly in mind, even during combat.

Yangos was one of the top-tier lifeforms at Cloud Peak with the strongest area-of-effect capabilities. It felt necessary to kill as many parasites as possible. On this basis, if it could also tie down its current opponent, that would be considered exceeding expectations.

This opponent, the flying monster, also lacked many abilities, but had an excellent body and extreme speed. Yangos occasionally landed a dragonʼs breath, which obviously made it very angry. It performed an extremely fast maneuver in the air, actually diving down to attack Cloud Peakʼs battle lines below.

This startled Yangos greatly. If this creature succeeded, it might be slaughtered by the Black-hearted Queen.

The evil dragon couldnʼt care about anything else, closely chasing after it. Simultaneously, the scales on its body turned red as if breathing, preparing to unleash an ability.

But the flying monster suddenly turned around, using its mutual speed to pounce on the evil dragon. It attacked frantically with its mouth and claws.

Yangos didnʼt expect this creature to be so agile and to play a small trick. It was too late to dodge and continue the previous skirmishing plan. Now, the evil dragon had two choices: one was to suppress the skill, which would save energy and avoid collateral damage, but cause some backlash to itself. The other was to continue unleashing the ability, making both itself and the opponent endure it.

At this moment, Yangos chose the second option.

The evil dragon also had a temper.

It knew the opponentʼs characteristic was its body, but it was a dragon! Wasnʼt the most enviable aspect of dragons also their bodies?

So letʼs see whose body was harder.

A huge flaming meteorite appeared between Yangos and this monsterʼs bodies, almost exploding against them.

Intense pain made Yangos raise its head and roar, its dragon eyes gradually filled with rage.

”Turn over for granddaddy, let me see if youʼre packing or not! Otherwise, granddaddy will tear you into shreds today!”

Seeing its chest area scorched black, dragon scales fallen, and dragon blood continuously seeping out, the evil dragon was truly angry.

The opponent was also injured, but compared to Yangos, it made no sound, flapped its wings, and charged again.

”Damn, wouldnʼt it be nice to enjoy it? Daring to resist! Granddaddy has a million brothers at Cloud Peak, weʼll take turns *%……￥#.”

The following words were basically unspeakable. The Cloud Peak warriors on the ground felt they were too pure, not as filthy as a dragon.

Flames burst from Yangosʼs claws, one of its abilities. No longer fearing direct combat, it engaged in a fierce battle with this parasite flying lifeform.

Both were top-tier lifeforms, renowned for their formidable bodies. Speed and strength were also top-notch. Their attack frequencies were so fast it was dizzying.

Large amounts of blood and minced flesh fell from the sky.

It had been too long since Yangos fought so desperately. When fighting with fellow top-tier lifeforms at Cloud Peak, everyone controlled their strength. But this was a true life-or-death struggle. This long-lost feeling of desperation felt unfamiliar yet exhilarating to Yangos.

It seized an opportunity, biting the area where the monsterʼs wing connected to its body. Its claws frantically clawed at the opponentʼs chest, slicing and burning large patches of skin with the flames on its claws.

The monsterʼs body twitched in pain twice, then also unyieldingly lowered its head and bit Yangosʼs nape, shaking and gnawing vigorously, its claws also tearing at Yangosʼs body.

The evil dragon had forgotten everything else now, only wanting to kill its opponent. The immense force from the opponentʼs bite loosened its teeth, and the hard, sharp scales cut numerous wounds in its mouth, but it didnʼt slacken at all. Instead, it growled. With its voice, a massive dark cloud appeared above them. Initially pitch-black, it later turned reddish, and then countless fireballs fell from it.

What made Yangos formidable was ultimately not just its body; the abilities brought by its innate attributes were the most powerful.

Simultaneously, its dragon tail constantly whipped, as if on fire, and extended a bit. Seizing the chance, it wrapped around the lower half of the opponentʼs body, completely depriving it of its ability to stay aloft.

The two lifeforms plummeted directly from the sky, crashing heavily into Mei City.

The moment they hit the ground, Yangos suddenly spewed True Flame of the Red Dragon from its mouth—its true source power.

That scorching power, together with the fireballs falling from the sky, enveloped the two lifeforms in a vast sea of flames.
