As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 46: Chapter 45 - Fire In The Shit... I Mean Hole!

I’ve heard rumors about the Butlers and Maids, who’s on duty at night coming from a non-human race.

Not like a race with animal mixed blood or fantastic creature...

Not a ghost that wanders around at night or anything like that...

But a figure from another world that still shares the same world with humans.

Ugh, how do I explain it?

They are human...

But at the same time, they are not human!

Sane people like me wouldn’t consider Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s female knights as human, because they had crossed the boundaries of another world and returned to life, after undergoing harsh training.

No, I mean... Torture training by Duke and Duchess!

It made me realize something about the Duchess’s ability, who’s not hesitate to hit Master Reina during the honorable duel.

And now... I have to face those horrible people alone?

My head turned to the right and left, making sure I was alone to continue moving forward, to sneakily past the tight guard of the maids on duty at night.

Through narrow gaps in the hallway walls, I squeezed behind a large flower vase. My attempt was to hide from the night maids’ patrol routes.

Actually, I could have acted normal and walked past them.

But, after carrying this bottle of foul ointment, I would look like I was doing something suspicious.

Well, what I am doing right now... Indeed suspicious.

Sniff...

Sniff...

The stench from my hands was so strong that one of the maids that night found my hiding place.

”Oh, what are you doing here, little girl?” said one of the night maids who found me behind a flower vase.

Unable to hide more, I, get caught red-handed, quickly emerged from behind the large flower vase. I forced a wide smile on my face and came up with any classic excuse I could find.

This little brain that I rarely use to think suddenly got an answer that didn’t make sense, but it suited the innocent little girl’s mischief.

My palms, which were covered in the stench of my mother’s ointment, had now become the ultimate weapon I could use for mischief.

”N-Nothing! Just hold... Something to throw... Something!!” I said, while waving my hands to spreading the foul ointment smells.

The stench, similar to human feces odor, would, of course, will trigger a small panic among them.

Sniff...

Sniff...

As I expected, some of them had smelled the stench from my palms, and their facial expressions changed instantly.

”Uhm, if you can’t take it anymore. There’s a dry field behind the Mansion. You can dig a hole in the ground and do what your... partially protruding stomach needs.”

”I-I hope you’re not afraid of the darkness of the night.”

”Oh! Don’t forget to bury it when you’re done.”

After I said something and they misunderstood about something, they immediately left me.

”...” I was silent for a moment and tried to understand what they were saying.

”W-What are they talking about?” I muttered as I watched them quickly walk away from me.

There seems to be a small misunderstanding here, but I don’t know what it is.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I quickly went to the back of the Mansion and searched for the drain that connected to the rain drainage system. The night sky and my limited vision in the dark made it difficult to find my way to find it.

The only light that accompanied me was the moonlight at night.

It wasn’t as bright as the magic lantern shining in Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s Mansion, but it was enough to reflect off the surface of the water in the sewer. Relying on Liliana’s vague memories, I found the sewer and saw the bright light coming from the magic lantern.

From a distance, I could see three men digging with hoes and squatting over their holes, doing what they needed to do with respect and pride.

”Ooohhh... so that’s what it means?” I said after understanding the night maid’s confusing words.

”She mean... I need to take a shit, huh?”

With a small annoyance pent up in my heart, my hand took out the bottle of rotten ointment and loosened the cap.

Peeesshhh!!

The foul-smelling air immediately filled the air, enough to carry out an illegal act in this novel’s world. Throwing up, an biological weapon capable of incapacitating any enemy in a single attack.

”Uh, now what should I say after the bottle is opened?”

”Fire hole? No... no... it doesn’t feel like a fire hole...”

”My grandson often says this before throwing something into the hole.”

”Hmm?? I guess... that was fire in the hole?”

”Ohh!! Yeah, that right! Fire in the hole!!”

After finding the words I was looking for, I immediately threw the bottle of rotten ointment at the three men who were enjoying their free time at night.

”Sorry, anyway... Fire in the hole!!”

Swinggg!!

Tiiinngg!!

With a powerful swing of my arm, I quickly threw the bottle of foul ointment and watched the cap fly off in the air. I turned around, expecting an explosion of screams from the busy men of the night, taking shit together like a brother-in-arms.

”HEY! WHEN YOU’RE TAKING A SHIT, CAN YOU FART WITH NORMAL SHIT SMELLS?!!”

”HEY! I SHOULD BE THE ONE TO SAY THAT. YOUR SHIT SO SHIT, MAN!!”

”IT’S PRETTY SURE. IT’S YOUR SHIT FART, RIGHT?!!”

”SHUT UP YOU TWO! I NEED TO FEELS PEACE WHEN TAKE A SHIT! SO SHUT UP!”

A small quarrel occurred on this cold night.

A fight that should have taken place in a tavern suddenly takes place in the empty courtyard of Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld. Three men, each preoccupied with their own affairs, are now forced to argue about a responsibility that risks their close friendship.

Or so I thought, before escaping into Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s Mansion.

”One troublesome task is done, time to enjoy dinner!” I said happily and without feeling guilty about my previous little mischief.

Tap...

Tap...

With a big smile on my face, I walked to my bedroom door.

The foul smell of the ointment still lingered in the air, but it was much better than before.

Slowly opening the door handle, I peeked into my room, which was being cleaned by my mother.

Krrreeekkk...

The creak of the door opening caught my mother’s attention.

”Oh, you’re back, Liliana?”

”Welcome back, Liliana!”

The dim light of the magic lantern, the wide-open bedroom window, and the moonlight shining into the room surprised me, who had just returned from throwing away a bottle of foul ointment.

The small table in the room was transformed into a small dining table by my mother; the dinner dishes that looked still warm were on the table, and a small bowl containing a mixture of fruit peels was waiting for my arrival.

I, who didn’t understand all this, just smile awkwardly.

”What happened while I was gone?” I asked, amazed by the drastic changes before me.

”Nothing important happened. Just turning this small room into a family dinner room for my little daughter.”

”That’s too much, mother...” I replied as I walked into the room.

Before I closed my bedroom door, I caught a glimpse of some maid who was still busy delivering dinner food to another maid’s room.

Being a maid whose have job to cook and deliver food for other maids seems very busy and troublesome.

Thankfully, I just an apprentice maid and still have a long ways to choose my carrier as full-time maid.

Well, that will happen in the future.

For now, I have to eat dinner food with my mother without leaving any leftovers as a form of respect for them.

Kllaappp...

Closing the door of my room, my mother immediately pulled my hand to immediately sit on the floor.

Splash...

Splash...

Without saying a word, my mother immediately washed my hands with water mixed with fruit skins.

The foul smell from my hands seemed to be washed away by the strong scent of the fruit skins.

The cold water cleaned my hands, wiping between my dirty fingers, and ending with a rough handkerchief to drying my hands.

My mother immediately put the basin containing the dirty water from washing my hands under the table.

”Let’s eat dinner before it gets cold!” my mother shouted happily.

My mother, looking happy, and it was a rare sight that Liliana rarely saw.

The figure of a mother who is always stubborn, works hard without stopping, and looks exhausted.

Now, she has become a mother who wants to enjoy a relaxing day with her daughter during her break-time after working all day.
