As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 28: Chapter 27 - Sudden Jobs To Do!

The sudden appearance of the Head Maid surprised both Master Amagi and me.

My position sitting next to Master Amagi, of course, made the Head Maid confused.

”What are you doing, Liliana?” With her deep voice and frightening look in her eyes, I was caught in a problem I couldn’t escape from.

”U-Umm... Uhh... helping Master Amagi read the recommended magic book?” I replied calmly, but it was in vain because my words were stuttering.

”I know, what I meant was—”

”P-Please don’t scold Liliana for this. I know that it’s rude for a Maid to sit in the same seat as her Master. I’m the one who forced Liliana to sit beside me and taught her some difficult vocabulary. LILIANA JUST FULFILLED MY SELFISH REQUEST!” Master Amagi interrupted the Head Maid.

I, who was self-aware because it was impossible to win argument against the Head Maid, was also stunned.

Master Amagi’s heroic act of protecting me from the Head Maid’s wrath was like a princess drawing a sacred sword from a stone. A hero, who accidentally chosen as a hero in the world’s time of need.

”...” I remained silent and waited for the words of punishment from the Head Maid’s mouth.

”Young Miss Amagi, I’m not asking this to scold Liliana. I’m simply questioning Liliana’s decision to cast a magic spell inside the room,” the Head Maid replied in a cold, emotionless tone.

I, who was scared and silent, dared to raise my hands.

”Uhm, to be honest, I didn’t know that saying the Fireball spell would trigger it.”

Boossshh!!

As I chanted the words that made up the Fireball spell, a spark fireball appeared in front of my eyes, slowly growing into a fireball that floated in front of my eyes.

”U-Umm... Y-Yeah... L-Like this... S-See this, Head Maid?” I stuttered after digging my own grave and lowering my face to stare at the floor.

Why does this happen?

How can I cast magic just by saying it?

I know that the main requirement for activating magic is chanting and imagining the magic effect in the mind.

Technically, this is just chanting and imagination!

It should be hard to do!

It’s not easy like this!

With such clear evidence, the Head Maid sighed and pulled my chin up to meet her eyes.

”As much as possible... don’t imagine the effects of the fireball magic in your head, Liliana.”

”Just imagining a small flame burning on a candle is enough to cast the Fireball spell.”

”For example, like this... Fireball.”

When she uttered the words for the Fireball spell, I could see a small, calm flame like a candle in the night. Unlike my small fireball, which burned like a marble consumed by a fierce fire, the calm candle flame from the Head Maid’s spell felt more professional and neat.

The calm flame of the candle filled my mind until it turned my little ball of fire into a calm candle flame.

”L-Like this, Head Maid?”

The Head Maid fell silent and smiled at me.

”Yes, you can control your magic to the point of changing into new forms too, huh?”

”You have a magical talent worth to be explored, Liliana.”

”Would you like to try training as a special maid capable of controlling magic?” the Head Maid asked with a calm smile, filled with all sorts of invisible traps.

I felt like the Head Maid was tricking me into practicing something troublesome, to the point that I had a hard time to answering it.

”I-I don’t know,” I replied after gathering my courage and facing her cold smile.

”If you wish, I can recommend you to attend the magic class together with Young Miss Amagi. It would also help Marchioness Shinano VII Lichtberg, who is having a hard time because she feels uncomfortable having Young Miss Amagi attend the magic class alone.”

”U-Ugghh....” The pressure given by the Head Maid felt heavy with great responsibility.

”Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg’s purpose in visiting Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s residence was to request a list of magic classes that Young Miss Amagi could attend. Please consider this, Liliana.”

”Huuuhhuu...” My stomach ached when I heard another reason from the Head Maid, and I felt the burden of responsibility that I would have to bear would be even heavier if I agreed.

This can’t be held back any longer.

I really hate this heavy responsibility.

Serving Master Reina is already difficult, and now I have to attend magic classes together with Master Amagi?

That will keep me busy all day!

”Hmm? Wait a minute!” I suddenly thought of something important after hearing the Head Maid’s words.

”Accompanying Master Amagi who is attending magic class?”

”That’s means... I should go back and forth between the residences of Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg and Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld?” I asked after realizing this important point.

The Head Maid smiled when she heard my question.

”That’s unnecessary because Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg is on vacation at Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s residence while Young Miss Amagi attend her magic class in here,” the Head Maid replied, making me feel a heavy weight on my shoulders.

Boonkk!!

The sudden weight that had fallen on my shoulders stemmed from the Head Maid’s irresistible order. I glanced at Master Amagi to control the current situation, then seeing an escape route.

Kirrraa...

Kirraa...

”Haha...” I chuckled after seeing Master Amagi’s smile, who already considered me to be present in the magic class with her.

”What about my duties as an apprentice maid?” I continued to ask the Head Maid.

”Hmm... that would be your own problem, right? I don’t need to interfere in this matter of yours.”

”Urrrkkk... what kind of answer is that, HEAD MAID!!” I shouted, feeling annoyed after hearing her answer.

”I’m just kidding, I’ll make sure your duties as an apprentice maid serving Young Miss Amagi and Young Miss Reina can be carried out flexibly.”

”Regarding Master Amagi... isn’t that a bit forced?”

”What’s being forced?” the Head Maid asked back, tilting her head.

”Ah, never mind, let it be a problem that I have to face alone,” I replied in a weak voice and accepted the situation that was befalling me.

Serving Master Amagi felt quite difficult for me, as I didn’t understand her shy thoughts.

Meanwhile, serving Master Reina requires great mental and emotional preparation to fulfill her strange requests.

Serving two Master at the same time, can I do all that?

My mental and emotional state will be drained while serving Master Reina, then doing mental healing with Master Amagi by attending magic classes with her.

”That’ll keep me busy all the time, huh?” I grumbled weakly, trying to come to terms with the strange fate that had befallen me.

”Hmm? Did you say something, Liliana?” asked the Head Maid, who seemed to have heard my little murmur.

”Uhm, nope... wait... I seem to feel there’s something strange about this sudden change in duties.”

”Ah, that’s just your feeling. You’re already an expert at taking care of Master Reina, right? So taking care of Master Amagi shouldn’t be difficult for you... Fufu~” the Head Maid smiled and assumed that I had agreed to this.

Krrruukkk...

What kind of pressure is this?!

It feels like my novel editor is always demanding new Chapters to be published every week!

With throwing an axe at my window as a threat and getting my adrenaline pumping to write a three-thousand-word story in an hour!

I don’t want to experience that again!

Nod...

With the work pressure given by the Head Maid, I also agreed with this unilateral decision.

Like it or not, I have to carry out two different tasks at different times.

Serving Master Reina as my main Master and serving Master Amagi as my second Master.

This won’t cause any problems, right?

For some reason, I have a bad feeling about these two important jobs.
