As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 36: Chapter 35 - The Rose Sword Goddess

I admit...

The statement I just made will surprise Master Reina and Master Amagi.

Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld looked at me with gentle eyes and tried to understand my request.

”That’s quite a bold statement, Liliana.”

”Do you realize that your words will make you look like an unfaithful maid?”

Stabb...

Stabb...

A words that pierced my heart and fallen common sense were heard.

That’s not so wrong...

I will indeed look like a maid who is not loyal to Master Reina and look like a two-faced maid who is full of deceit to serve Master Amagi.

For a maid, their honor and pride lie in the loyalty they can offer to her master. As their only Master, they will serve until the end of their lives; that is the highest honor a maid can offer.

The actions and words I have done have tarnished the dignity of a maid, but I have to do that in order to achieve my goals in the future.

The me I am now is definitely weak and looks like a directionless little girl in the eyes of Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

My lips, which had been afraid to say anything, now fell silent and calm. There were several reasons I could explain to Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld for my decision.

”That only applies to maids who are officially works for her Master, right?”

”For an apprentice maid like me... such rules and loyalty still don’t apply.”

”I also want to develop into a maid who can live up to Master Reina’s expectations and—” My throat felt sore and dry, just as I was about to pronounce the noble title of Master Amagi.

Glaarree...

Glaarree...

The cause of my dry and sore throat was Master Reina’s gaze, which I didn’t want to feel it.

The loyalty and honor of a maid, it seems, I’m going to mess up Liliana’s main storyline a bit.

”And Master Amagi...” continuing my sentence and enduring Master Reina’s sharp gaze, I tried to swallow the bitter taste of Master Reina’s growing hatred.

”However, that doesn’t mean I’m going to act like a two-faced maid!” I continued in a serious tone, pulling myself back to stand straight facing Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

A faint smile etched itself on Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s face, her hand still gripping Master Reina’s collar, and she suddenly threw Master Reina towards me.

Suddenly, it made me panic, and I reflexively grabbed Master Reina’s body.

My eyes moved in slow motion due to my panic.

My hand immediately reached for Master Reina’s body, which was flying relentlessly toward me. Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s throw seemed light, but I knew Master Reina wasn’t that light.

Master Reina’s body weight should be the same as mine, or even heavier, due to the balanced diet of a noble girl from the Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld family.

In a split second, I positioned myself to embrace Master Reina from behind, trying to pull her into my arms and sacrificing myself as a cushion as she slammed onto the sofa.

Time seemed to slow down as I did this, sacrificing myself for Master Reina’s safety.

Buugghh!!

My lips pressed together, and I endured the pain from Master Reina’s heavy body blow.

I had already guessed that Master Reina’s body was not light, and it was impossible to throw her so easily with one hand, unless that’s person was strong enough to do that.

For some reason, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld was able to do that and seemed to have no trouble throwing Master Reina at me.

”Perhaps I would have considered that, if only Liliana had been able to hold Reina’s body without being pushed back,” the Duchess said with a small sigh.

”The path you have taken to serve two Masters... is still very far, Liliana.”

”There is no need to rush and practice according to your abilities.”

The Duchess seemed to understand the implicit message I was trying to convey to her.

Should I feel relieved about this or worried?

”Oh! This could be a great chance for you, Liliana.”

”How about you accompany Reina to practice sword techniques in the morning?”

”That could be a good opportunity to see you as a... maid in training for serve her two Master, I guess?”

Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld almost stopped her words and looked confused for a moment, but managed to finish her words without interruption.

My body, which was supporting Master Reina’s weight, felt tight, and my chest was in pain.

This makes me wonder how strong Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld is to be able to throw Master Reina with one hand.

”Ugghh...” I grumbled and tried to get Master Reina’s body off of me.

After being thrown by Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, it seems that Master Reina has slightly lost consciousness.

”M-My head is so dizzy...”

”W-Why do I have such a rude mother?” Master Reina grumbled as she held her head with her right hand.

I just smiled when I heard this cute Master Reina’s grumbling.

Ctiinngg!!

Ctiinngg!!

”Kuuhhh!!” My head suddenly hurt as memories of Liliana swirled around in my head.

In Liliana’s black-and-white memories, I glimpsed a newspaper showing the youth of Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, who was the winner of the ’Inter-Kingdom Sword Tournament’.

”Hahaha... seriously?” Without diminishing my respect for Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, I chuckled hoarsely.

Caress...

Caress...

My hands focused on stroking Master Reina’s head, and her body’s consciousness was fading, approaching fainting after her body was thrown and hit my body.

Liliana’s endurance, which often received loving kicks from Master Reina, turned out to be an advantage for me at times like this.

Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, also known as the Rose Sword Goddess...

That explains it all...

The incredible strength to lift Master Reina’s collar with one hand...

Throwing Master Reina with one hand, without difficulty...

That was answered by the memories of Liliana’s past that were spinning in my head.

”I’ve never written anything about this. Is there such a thing like that?” I muttered softly, trying to remember the plot of the story I had written.

This kind of background story is not in my novel.

Yes, I am very sure of that.

Or am I too focused on the love story between the main character and the main heroine in that novel that I forgot about this unique world-building?

Somehow, the memories of my old life started to fade after I got used to Liliana’s lifestyle.

”Ugh, this feels a little annoying...” While calming myself, who was fixated on Liliana’s memory, I tried to calm myself by regulating the rhythm of my breathing.

My mind, calm again, now looked at Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

”Won’t that cause a big problem, Duchess?” I asked Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, who was now smiling broadly.

”It won’t be a problem, don’t worry. Reina will also become more enthusiastic and serious about practicing with the sword. With a training partner... Reina won’t get bored quickly,” replied Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld with an answer that sounded strange to my ears.

Yeah, it really feels weird.

It felt like Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld was hiding something; even her glances were directed at Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg and the Head Maid.

My instincts tell me...

Like I’ve been caught up in something big and unknown...

It was a little annoying to realize it, but I also felt that this trap wasn’t too bad to enjoy.

As a trapped prey...

I just need to survive and get out of the trap, right?

That would be so easy.
