As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 24: Chapter 23 - Liliana Edelrose First Service

My body unconsciously bowed to pay respect to the noble family who was visiting the residence of Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

The training that Liliana had undergone seemed to bear fruit after her body moved automatically to bow down and close her eyes.

She is not very tall, and she is still a child, which does not make Liliana feel inferior about taking part in the tough maid training as an apprentice maid.

The sweet fruit of the hard training was the trust of Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, who invited Liliana to welcome a guest from another noble family.

As usual, I’m not sure this will end with just a welcome for guests.

Since this was an invitation from the Duchess asking me to welcome guests as a ”Training”, of course, there was another purpose besides welcoming these guests.

From quite a distance, I could smell the trouble that was already spreading at the main entrance of Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s residence.

The Head Maid also said something about the ”most troublesome thing” of this, which indirectly warned me that unexpected heavy things were coming.

And all of this comes from the guest of Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

”I hope...”

”What I’m about to do isn’t too bad as a maid in training,” I muttered hopefully and waited for the Head Maid’s signal to stand up straight after bowing respectfully.

I thank Liliana for practicing diligently so that this bent body is not too painful for an old woman who always feel pain in the back and waist.

Aaaahh... the body of a young girl is indeed the best!

I almost forgot that I was possessing the body of a little girl.

The soft whistle of the Head Maid was heard, and it was a sign of the end of our respectful bow to welcoming noble guests.

My gaze suddenly fell on the noble family who was talking to Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, while seeing a little girl who was hiding behind the body of an adult woman.

The same pastel purple hair color...

Faces that look similar to each other...

The wary gazes around her...

The expression on her face looked shy and reluctant to leave the adult woman’s body...

Somehow, it looked like the chemistry of a mother and her shy daughter.

Yes, she’s like a shy cat, but she’ll become talkative once she’s close to someone. Just like her mother, who still has long conversations with Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

How long will they keep talking?

I don’t know...

One thing is for sure: they will keep talking until their main topic is finished.

I’m not the type of girl who always talks at length and prefers to listen to other people’s gossip that isn’t really important, while putting on a smiling facial expression and closing my eyes.

Because of this habit, I was often invited to listen to other people’s gossip together with the mothers around my housing complex until late at night, and gave comments that always added to the topic of conversation.

”Is this the maid you were talking about, Duchess Adelheid?”

”Yes, Marchioness Shinano. A maid girl who is perfect for Amagi and Reina’s socialization practice. Isn’t this the perfect time to get them both acquainted with each other before their coming of age ceremony?”

”Uhm, I don’t know. Their coming-of-age ceremony is still three years away, and there’s no rush to teach them how to socialize at noble parties. With three years of regular training, Amagi should be able to socialize with nobles from other families after the coming of age ceremony and enter the Belfast Royal Academy.”

”Ahh... I can still understand Amagi case. But for Reina, she’s a unique case where her father’s wild nature was passed down to his daughter. Her private tutor, who taught her the ethics and morals of a noble lady, almost resigned because she doing something to her. We were forced to punish Reina so she could pass the ethics and morals exam for a noble lady next month.”

”Reina, huh? That’s only natural. Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld himself is quite difficult to control. But you can control Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld with the threat of making him sleeping on the terrace, right? Why not do the same to Reina?”

”Ugh, if only I dared to do such a cruel thing to my beloved daughter.”

My ears seem to have misheard.

With the punishment in the form of the body being tied to the horse’s saddle and the horse’s hooves being fast, isn’t that already a cruel punishment that is more severe than sleeping on the terrace?

I simply don’t understand Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s mindset, which seems to be as unique as Master Reina’s.

”You’re still so soft with your own daughter, huh? That’s was so contrast to Amagi, who is an obedient girl and doesn’t act up too much. But it worries me too because she’s so quiet.”

The voices between the Duchess and her guest were clearly audible, as if they were right in front of me.

My eyes, which were still closed, slowly opened.

My habits when I was still on Earth seem to have carried over into the world of this novel.

As my eyelids slowly opened, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld and her guest were standing before me. I was so shocked that I nearly stepped back.

”Oh, Liliana. Sorry to startle you as you were gracefully curtsying. Would you like to train to serve a noble lady?” the Duchess asked suddenly, leaving me frantically thinking of an answer.

”Serve a noble girl?” With an answer filled with doubt, I immediately glanced at the adult woman in front of me.

”Yes, serve a noble girl. Oh! Not this noble girl... but this noble girl,” said the Duchess while pulling the hand of a little girl who had been hiding behind her mother’s body.

”Huueee?!” shouted the noble girl who was surprised by the Duchess’s words.

”N-No need to doing that... U-Uumm, D-Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld. I-I will just sit quietly and read a book in Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s family library,” the little girl looked panicked after the Duchess pulled her hand, as if forcibly pulling her out of her safe hiding place.

The eyes of the little girl in front of me were rolling around as if she didn’t know how to solve this problem.

Such an innocent response...

Unmistakably, this is the response of an introverted noble girl who is not suited to be paired with an extrovert.

”Hmm...” I suddenly had a strange thought and muttered something.

”Introverted noble girl...”

”It feels a bit like deja vu, but... where?” I muttered in a weak voice.

The little girl in front of me was under a lot of pressure from the Duchess, so she had no way out to accept my maid service for the time being.

Taking care of a quiet little girl who rarely speaks, and whose thoughts are hard to guess.

Could this be what the Head Maid meant?

If that’s the case, then it would be quite difficult and challenging for a maid training.

My hands immediately pulled the long maid uniform skirt to the side, bowed my body, and greeted the little girl who would be my Master for the time being.

”Good morning, Young Miss Amagi... or should I call you, Master Amagi?”

”If Master Amagi would be so kind, please allow me to serve you for a while.”

”Although I still don’t have as much experience as the other maids, I promise to fulfill Master Amagi’s needs so she can read books in peace in Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s library.”

”I... Liliana Edelrose, I am ready to accept Master Amagi’s orders,” I said in a gentle tone to the little girl in front of me.

Relying on the training Liliana had gone through, my body moved automatically to reach for the little girl’s hand and gently kiss the back of her hand.

Chuupp...

”HUUEEE??!!”

For reasons unknown to me, the little girl screamed with her face bright red.
