As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 14: Chapter 13 - Lisa—I Mean My Mother... Traditional Potion

Sttoommpp...

Sttoommpp...

Sttoommpp...

I, who ran away from my biological mother, accidentally met Julia, who was about to return to her room.

When I met Julia, I immediately cried like a scared little girl after being forced to drink something smelly and disgusting from my mother.

I look like a little girl who is traumatized by something.

Well, after all, I’ve possessed the body of a helpless little girl for now. If I don’t put this to good use, the advantages of this innocent little girl face will be wasted.

Because of my crying voice that sounded like I was scared and trying to seek help, Julia sighed after another busy day of work.

Together with Julia, who was about to return to her room, I followed her footsteps from behind.

The door to the room where she worked was visible, and my mother had just come out. Her eyes suddenly glanced at me, triggering a feeling of fear of the foul-smelling bottle.

If it were the pungent smell of traditional potion, I could still stand it.

However, if it smells like a meat that has been preserved until it smells rotten, of course, I will run in fear!.

What kind of person would dare to drink it?!

As a normal person, I don’t want to take traditional potion that comes from animal carcasses. If it’s a traditional potion that comes from plants, I’ll also think twice to drink it!

A traditional potion or similar potion will undoubtedly taste bitter. Even modern medicinal pills are bitter to take directly, but that’s better than drinking liquids that are guaranteed to taste bitter and disgusting.

When Julia and my mother met, I immediately hid behind Julia’s body as if I was afraid of my biological mother in this novel world.

From behind Julia, I could see my mother’s expression as she smiled awkwardly in front of her.

”What are you doing to scare your daughter like this?” Julia asked, taking a deep breath.

”I-I don’t know either, Liliana suddenly ran away after seeing me take out the bottle of medicine that I just bought from the market,” replied my mother while taking out the traditional potion from the pocket of her maid uniform.

The moment of the traditional potion came out of the pocket of her maid uniform, my nose was suddenly pierced by a pungent, rotten smell.

Julia suddenly ran to the nearest window and vomited her stomach acid after smelling this pungent stench.

I take a lot step and retreated to the back, after my main protector had gone to vomit her stomach acid.

A traditional potion that can trigger nausea, wouldn’t that be considered as a dangerous traditional potion?

If Julia vomited like that, what would happen to me if I drink it?

”No wonder Liliana ran away scared and crying, you brought something terrible, Lisa!” Julia shouted from a distance.

My mother put on a seemingly innocent expression on her face about this.

With her head tilted and her eyes fixed on the traditional potion in her hand, my mother seemed to think that it was a normal traditional potion.

”H-Huh?!”

”There’s nothing strange about this medicine bottle...”

With those casual words, Julia immediately ran towards my mother, opened the cap of the traditional potion, and forced my mother to drink it.

Glluupp...

The incident happened so fast, within seconds after my mother drank the liquid in the traditional potion, my mother suddenly ran towards the nearest window that Julia had used.

In the same position as Julia do before, my mother was vomiting after drinking the liquid in the ”medicine bottle”.

”How could you buy a bottle of medicine that was almost expired. As a maid, you had already failed to buy fraud potion and as mother... you are terrible to take care your daughter,” Julia grumbled, looking annoyed, but smiling with satisfaction after seeing that the liquid from the medicine bottle in her hand had been completely drunk by my mother.

Should I feel relieved after seeing that the contents of the liquid in the medicine bottle have run out?

”The stench is so delicious like torture... I-It makes me vomit in second,” Julia continued to grumble as she closed the medicine bottle.

The foul smell coming from the medicine bottle had spread, make me smell it little bit.

”Hmm? Now, I realize something. Did your mother open this bottle of medicine in my room, Liliana?” Julia asked, looking at me.

”A-Almost... but the stench is already leaking out.,” I replied, reluctant to remember that terrible incident.

It seems, I just got a new trauma after living in a novel world that I created.

”Ack! My private room!” Julia screamed and ran towards the infirmary room.

I went back to Doctor Julia’s room and peeked through the door first.

As I peeked inside, I saw Julia frantically trying to open all the windows in her room.

The stench from the medicine bottle my mother brought was still lingering.

”LIIISSAA!!” Julia looked angry at this and walked out of my room with heavy footsteps.

I immediately stood up and pressed against the wall so as not to come into Julia’s line of sight.

Duukk...

Duukk...

Doctor Julia’s heavy footsteps soon passed me.

Julia’s anger is perfectly natural. I’d be furious too if the room I use every day was contaminated by someone’s foul odor. Besides being angry, I’d probably hit or slap someone who make it bad first to prevent it from becoming a bad habit for that person.

I peeked back into the room and saw the medical book I had borrowed, still on the small bed.

”Oh, shit...”

”I almost forgot about that book.”

I panicked a little after borrowing the expensive medical book secretly.

In order to avoid any unwanted problems from Julia, I immediately went into infirmary room and returned the expensive medical book I had borrowed to the bookshelf.

I have to do this quickly before Julia comes back.

”Huuppp!!”

”Huuuuppp!!”

By forcing my energetic little body, I was able to run and jump nimbly.

In less than ten seconds, I had returned the expensive medical book to the bookshelf before Julia returned, tugging on my mother’s ear.

”You see this, Lisa!”

”This is what you’ve done, you have to take responsibility right now!” Julia shouted from behind the door and entered the room while pulling my mother’s ear.

My current position was lying back on the small bed and wincing in pain after feeling the pain in the lump on my head.

”Look at this! Even Liliana has to lie in a smelly, disgusting room like this and cry!” Julia continued to shout, making me want to cry even more.

Nyuutt...

Nyyuutt...

Thanks to the adrenaline rush that filled my body, I ignored the pain of the lump on my head; now the pain has returned and makes me endure excruciating pain.

The vibrations from Julia’s screams were able to penetrate the bandage on my head.

”Ugh, please be quiet for a moment. My head hurts even more when I hear that kind of screaming,” I grumbled and glanced at Julia, who was pulling my mother’s ear.

”Look at it yourself... your daughter is suffering much more than before. If this continues, your daughter won’t recover in time!” Julia said in a stern voice.

I told her to calm down, but Julia still spoke in a loud tone.

Ah well, I didn’t care anymore and lay down to close my eyes... hope that lunch would arrive soon.

With the situation like this, I can’t hope to sleep in peace...

As long as I can just close my eyes, that’s enough...

My nose, which had been smelling the foul odor for a while now, seemed to have gotten used to it and gotten bored, so the pungent stench was forgotten, and I could breathe a sigh of relief.

Luckily, the human nose is designed to easily get bored with smells.

My eyes began to close, and I counted the goats jumping over the fence in my mind.

Before I could really fall asleep, counting the goats jumping over the fence, Julia and my mother started making noise again, louder than before.

”Ugh, this is hell...”
