As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 25: Chapter 24 - Serving Amagi Vii Lichtberg

My first activity this morning was to serve a quiet, silent little girl. Even when Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld served a warm breakfast for her, the little girl in my responsibility remained silent and ate her breakfast quietly.

Her calm demeanor reminded me of one of the important characters in my novel, who somehow resembled her.

Without get additional information, I cannot confirm the true identity of the little girl I am serving.

Based on the Duchess’s conversation with her guest, who held the title of Marchioness, I could guess something about the little girl I was serving.

This little girl with long, pastel purple hair is Master Reina’s future best friend. Her noble status as a Marquess has brought her close to the Duke’s family.

Well, it is quite natural for the Marquess family to be close to the Duke family.

But to become Master Reina’s future best friend, it was an unfortunate fate for a quiet and obedient girl.

Just by standing beside her, I could feel the calm and peace.

If only Master Reina had a slightly calmer and gentler personality, I could relax in between my busy schedule as an apprentice maid.

Lately, my body’s energy has been drained to fulfill Master Reina’s requests and orders.

”I can relax for a moment by serving this Young Lady...” I muttered in a weak tone and looked at the little girl sitting on the sofa.

My current position is inside the public library owned by Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld, which is located behind the Main Mansion and surrounded by a beautiful flower garden.

As ordered by Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, I must serve this little girl with great care and regret.

It’s not that I’m complaining about my job, it’s just that...

Standing straight next to her for two hours was exhausting!

Now I understand what the Head Maid meant!

The quiet, noble girl is really tiring to serve!

”U-Umm... excuse me, could I have the second book by this author?” asked the little girl, who had now opened her voice after making me stand for two hours.

The little girl who introduced herself as Amagi Vii Lichtberg looked very awkward when talking to me.

”Have you finished reading this book, Young Miss Amagi Ah! No... I mean, Master Amagi?” I replied in a gentle tone and moved closer to her, who was sitting on the sofa.

”I-I haven’t finished reading it because there is some vocabulary that is difficult to understand, and I want to read the next book by the same author.”

I immediately took the book Master Amagi was reading and accidentally read it, which was written in Japanese language.

”Basic Principles of Magic for Beginner Mages...” I muttered as I stroked the thick cover of the book.

”Huum? you can read it?”

”Hmm? Am I not allowed to read it, Master Amagi?”

”N-No, that’s not what I meant. I-It’s very rare for a apprentice maid to be able to read the intricate writing that comes from the ancestors of the Belfast Royal Family. Did Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld teach you?” Master Amagi asked with a smile at me.

Piinngg!!

Suddenly, I got an amazing, brilliant idea to cover this boredom!

Rather than standing like a statue watching someone from a distance, wouldn’t it be better to sit together and read this magic book?

I’m sure there’s some information I can find when talk nonsense with Master Amagi, if possible... I’ll talk nonsense with her until lunchtime.

”Yes, Master Amagi, it would be a shame if a maid serving Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld couldn’t read or write, wouldn’t it?”

”T-That’s right, I didn’t think about that.”

”Hmm...” For a moment, I could hear Master Amagi’s voice, which seemed familiar to me.

There was no awkwardness that I felt before.

Oh! I know now...

”Master Amagi, how about we reread this book and find any vocabulary that you find difficult. While I’m not very good at reading and writing the language that comes from the ancestors of the Belfast Royal family, I might be able to help you with the meaning of the difficult words that I know,” I said as I opened the magic book that was filled with writing that was aligned from top to bottom.

”Ugh, woow... the writing is aligned from top to bottom. Master Amagi is truly amazing for not throwing this thick book on the floor,” I continued, complimenting her knowledge.

Bluuush...

Master Amagi smiled and shook her head, ”I-If I did such a bad thing, then it would be the same as disrespecting the author of the book.”

With her face covered in pink, Master Amagi tried not to be swayed by my praise.

”Well, I’m definitely going to throw this book on the floor,” I said to see another facial expression from Master Amagi.

”EH? WHY?!!” Master Amagi shouted with her eyes wide open.

”Why, huh? That’s because... the writing of this book is only focused on the author’s personal feelings. The concept he wrote is also not much different from other magic books that discuss the same concept, only this is written in the language of the ancestors of the Belfast Royal family. In my eyes, this is just a cheap book written in complicated language so that it can be sold in a bookstore owned by a noble family,” I said with some nonsense.

”E-Eeehh...” Master Amagi scrunched up her face and looked like she was sad.

At times like this, I felt relieved after getting help from the Head Maid in the form of a magic monocle and an old magic book that was the foundation of the low-quality magic books like the ones that Master Amagi had read.

”Master Amagi, please wait a moment...”

”I’ll go get a high-quality magic book worthy of Master Amagi’s reading,” I said as I put on my magic monocle and hurried off to the main bookshelf.

Wearing the magic monocle, I could see a high-quality magic book that the Head Maid was referring to, and I took it from the main bookshelf.

The magic book I picked up felt heavy, dusty, and looked dull. I immediately took out a handkerchief and wiped it so that it was suitable for Master Amagi to read.

”Ugh, if I take the Head Maid’s words. A good magic book will not be damaged for thousands of years and only get dirty from dust on the cover.”

”That’s interesting...”

Trusting the words of the Head Maid, who had provided assistance in the form of magic monocle glasses and arranged the magic books on the main bookshelf, I immediately took the wooden tray used to carry the books and rushed to meet Master Amagi.

Tap...

Tap...

My footsteps carrying heavy books were clearly audible in the library of Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld.

From a distance, Master Amagi looked bored, waiting, and was lying on the sofa.

”Sorry to keep Master Amagi waiting so long,” I said after returning with a magic book that was more suitable for Master Amagi to read.

The thick magic book I was carrying seemed to have caught Master Amagi’s attention. Her eyes widened as she sat elegantly on the sofa.

”Uwwaaah!! I-Is this the high-quality magic book you were talking about?” asked Master Amagi with a wide smile on her face and her hands reaching for the magic book on the wooden tray.

I pushed the wooden tray forward to make it easier for Master Amagi to take it.

”T-This is!! I-Isn’t this a magic book written by a sage!” Master Amagi screamed happily after opening the first page of her magic book.

”U-Uumm... I-If you don’t mind. C-Can you accompany me to read a little longer?”

”T-This time... U-Umm... C-Could you sit next to me instead of standing next to me?” Master Amagi asked as she patted the empty sofa seat beside her.

Paatt...

Paatt...

As an ethical maid, I should have been aware of my position and politely declined.

However, that would make Master Amagi feel awkward, when she was with me.

”Sure, With pleasure, Master Amagi...”

For now, I plan to provide comfortable maid services for Master Amagi.
