As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 27: Chapter 26 - Accidentally Casting Fireball

My hand that was caressing Master Amagi’s lips looked like a maid being impudent to her own Master.

Caress...

Caress...

”Let’s keep this a secret between the two of us, Master Amagi.”

”If this secret gets out, my real Master will definitely scold me.”

”I don’t want to get punished by my troublesome Master...” I said while whispering and caressing Master Amagi’s lips.

Nod...

A small nod from Master Amagi made me let go of this intimate prank.

”T-This will be a secret between the two of us.”

”I-I will make sure that this secret will never leak out,” said Master Amagi, who understood my position, which could be replaced by someone else at any time.

I responded with a small nod and positioned myself to sit quietly beside her.

”Let’s read the magic book that the Head Maid has prepared. I’m quite sure this magic book has been prepared for Master Amagi to read.”

”Ohh.. T-That’s right! I almost forgot that my purpose in coming to Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s library was to read the magic books they had collected!”

It seems... the little prank I pulled almost made Master Amagi forget her main purpose for reading the magic book.

I began to vaguely recall the character Master Amagi, who appeared in my novel. This vague memory indicated that Master Amagi belonged to a noble family that supported Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld. As a loyal allies to the noble Adelheid Von Blutfeld family, Master Amagi also suffered the same fate, as Master Reina’s that had sealed off her bright future.

Having a close connection with Master Reina, the poor and clueless Master Amagi will be dragged into a complicated social conflict.

Bad rumors about Master Amagi, a member of the faction and close friend of Master Reina, would spread throughout the Belfast Kingdom. Just by mentioning her name, people would know she was an unfortunate individual close to someone considered an enemy in the Belfast Kingdom.

From the beginning, I only wrote good storylines for the heroines who had been bullied by the villainesses, as a form of karma that would attract readers’ interest until the last Chapter.

But now, when I’m take over the body of a girl named Liliana and directly involved in their lives, I have to take responsibility for this tragic storyline.

Their future, destined to become a bridge between romantic heroines, must be shattered. Preventing Master Amagi from becoming a bully would be easy if only she had good manners and have a supportive environment to pull out her magic talent.

The problem is... a supportive environment is very difficult to create.

Is there really a good environment that can occur?

From the beginning, the environment and daily life that Master Amagi had to go through were those of a high-ranking noble filled with pride.

Lowering their self-esteem to be polite to someone who is below their social status would be very difficult to do.

At the very least, they should push certain boundaries in their behavior towards someone with a social status below their noble title.

For example, right now, Master Amagi is sitting beside me and reading a magic book.

Flaaapp...

Master Amagi’s tiny hands moved to open the pages of a thick magic book that contained only Japanese words.

My eyes occasionally glanced at the contents of the magic book that Master Amagi was reading and found the basic concept of magic.

Master Amagi read so intently that her eyebrows were raised, her forehead was furrowed, and her lips were moving as if she were trying to decipher the complicated Japanese text.

”Did you find a difficult vocabulary, Master Amagi?” I asked, smiling at her and stroking my monocle like I was posing as a professional maid.

”U-Uunn... there are some complicated words that I don’t know the meaning of,” said Master Amagi while showing the complicated words she was reading.

My eyes were fixed on the text that Master Amagi was reading.

”T-This... This is indeed complicated to explain without context that Master Amagi understands. I can explain the meaning of this complicated vocabulary with an explanation that Master Amagi can easily understand. Would Master Amagi be so kind as to listen to this explanation from a mere maid like me?” I asked with a gentle smile towards Master Amagi, who was pressing her aching chest.

Nod...

Nod...

Master Amagi’s rapid up-and-down nod of her head made me smile.

”P-Please give me an easy-to-understand explanation. U-Uuummm... M-Maaaiidd!! Uhm, Etto...” Master Amagi seemed hesitant as she asked me to explain the complicated vocabulary she was reading.

”U-Uumm... I-If you please. C-Could you tell me your name again?”

”I-I’ll make sure to remember it this time,” Master Amagi said hesitantly.

This is a funny reaction; I’ll ignore it for a while longer.

There was no way I could pass up the opportunity to tease Master Amagi as she tried to remember my name. It was like watching a little girl trying to make new friends in a large playground.

So funny and cute at the same time!

I like Master Amagi’s effort in trying to remember my name.

With a firm decision, I ignored the good intentions of Master Amagi, who tried to remember my name and explain the magic concepts written in the magic book.

”The concept of magic used in this world is magic that originates from the mind of the caster and words whose meaning is known.”

”The meaning of the text that Master Amagi is reading can be explained as the condition for magic to be realized is to say the magic spell verbally and have a strong imagination to activate the magic that is being cast.”

”Aaahhh... that’s still too complicated to hear.”

”Let’s use a simple example. For example, if a mage wants to cast Fireball magic, the mage must imagine a hot fireball in his mind and say the well-known Fireball magic incantation.”

”The word Fireball itself is known as a hot ball of fire used to burn something. The meaning of the word Fireball, which is already known, must also be balanced by thinking about a hot ball of fire that will be used to burn something.”

”Besides those two things, magical abilities are also required. Without magical mana, casting the Fireball spell will not trigger the realization of magic in the real world.”

As I was discussing the concept of magic with Master Amagi, my body suddenly felt hot, and sweat poured down my forehead.

Whether it was just my imagination or not, I actually felt the sensation of the scorching heat of the sun inside Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s library, and the library room was getting brighter.

”Abababa....”

”Awawawawa!!”

”Uwwaaahhh!!”

Master Amagi looked like someone who was stuttering, and her eyelids were wide open as if she saw something that surprised her.

”Hmm? Is there something wrong, Master Amagi?” I accidentally saw the reflection of Master Amagi’s pastel purple eyes and saw five fireballs floating behind me.

”Huh?? Wait a minute...” I, who had just realized this, immediately glanced back and saw five small fireballs floating beside the sofa.

”HUUEEE!! WHY ARE THERE FIVE FIREBALLS IN THE LIBRARY?!”

”WHICH CRAZY PERSON CHANTS A FIRE SPELL IN THE LIBRARY!!” I shouted in a panicked tone.

”ISN’T THAT YOU THE ONE WHO’S BEEN CHANTING THE FIREBALL SPELL!” Master Amagi shouted.

While we were both panicking about the appearance of five small fireballs in the library, the library entrance opened, and the Head Maid walked in.

BAAAMM!!

”What the fuck?” she said as she stared at the five small fireballs floating and punched them until they went out.

Boooooosshh...

At that moment, I could smell a pay cut next month over this incident.

”Oh, nooo...” Without me realizing it, it turns out I can cast magic and get a surprise salary deduction for this incident.
