As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 41: Chapter 40 - Light Talk After Honorable Duel

Master Reina sat in front of me after hearing my satisfied laughter.

Her cute pouting face was constantly puffing up and holding her breath in her cheeks, as if she was annoyed with me.

It was my fault, though.

I mean... who would be able to resist the laughter of a seemingly ’strong’ little girl who ended up failing to beat her mother?

That honorable duel was a noble identity, fulfilling their promise and desire. Master Reina’s desire to possess me completely failed after losing to her mother. That means... I still belong to Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, according to the main rules of this honorable duel.

The Duke has full control over the rules involving the Butlers, while the Duchess has control over the ownership of the Maids who work in this main Mansion.

I don’t know which part is wrong... but that has become a standard rule in the world of the novel I write.

Whether I was paying too much attention to the world setting I was writing about or I was not aware of the world setting, it just happened like that.

This is an important message for writers to be more careful in developing the world setting in their novels so that the events I experienced do not worsen their lives when they die and are reincarnated as one of the characters in their own novels.

In the case I experienced, I possessed the body of an unknown girl in my own novel...

She not included in the main story...

She not going into the background story of a Villainess girl named Reina Adelheid Von Blutfeld...

But, somehow... I became a character who doesn’t play a significant role in this story, and suddenly getting involved in the main story, which would be extremely difficult to survive.

Well, that doesn’t stop me from changing one crucial paragraph that will save Master Reina’s life in the future.

And that one important paragraph was right in front of me...

Duke Adelheid Von Blutfeld and Master Reina, which sitting across from me, remained silent, refusing to speak. Despite my impudence and laughter after seeing Master Reina’s face disfigured by minor bruises, I received no harsh reprimand from the Duke.

By sitting on this sofa, facing each other in the master bedroom of Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld, and feels this overly serious atmosphere. I just realizing the seriousness of this atmosphere, and I slowly understood the common background story of Master Reina, a noblewoman who had been troublemakers since childhood.

Rumors about Master Reina being a troublesome noblewoman will continue to grow until she enters the Belfast Royal Academy and meets the main character who comes from a low noble family.

Such bad rumors will indeed occur in the future, but there are various ways to suppress these rumors.

One way to suppress the rumors is to create a new ”troublemaker”, who is more problematic than Master Reina.

However, who is the right person to play that important role?

As far as I know, the Villainess girls have their own rumors, like Master Reina, who likes to create unnecessary problems in the main storyline, or Master Amagi, who is famous for her mischievous attitude of changing the formation of some magic circle formation at the Belfast Royal Academy.

It can be said, these Villainess girls can create problems according to their main abilities and unique traits.

Tookk...

Tookk...

In this gloomy silence, someone knocked on the door to Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld’s master bedroom. Since I was the only one maid in heree, still dressed in my maid uniform, I stood up from the sofa, and my maid instincts kicking in to serve.

”There’s no need to stand up, Liliana,” said the Duke in a gentle tone.

”Just come in; it’s unlocked,” the Duke continued, looking towards the entrance.

Krraaakkk...

The sound of the entrance door opening reached my ears, and my eyes widened. A sense of foreboding filled my body. The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end at the sight of Marchioness Shinano VII Lichtberg and Master Amagi.

One crucial paragraph that changes the main storyline...

It seems, it will turn into some important pages that will change the future of Master Reina and Master Amagi.

I don’t know what’s really happening right now.

As far as I know, there is no side storyline explaining this incident in my novel, like Master Reina and her mother who often clashed in the background story, but this was done to help Master Reina grow into a noble girl who was sensitive to the situation. Always thinking logically and recognizing the risks she faces. Not relying on half-baked strategies, always staying seven steps ahead of her goal.

That’s what Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld hopes for Master Reina.

Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg and Master Amagi entered the room with elegant footsteps; I immediately stepped aside to stand beside the sofa.

Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg and Master Amagi passed me with elegant manners, greeting me with smiles before sitting down on the sofa, facing the Duke.

At the same time, the Duchess and the Head Maid came out of the dressing room.

I felt like they had been waiting for Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg to arrive before leaving the dressing room.

The Duchess, dressed in an elegant, casual dress, smiled faintly at me. My body trembled at the sight of that faint smile, and I struggled to stand respectfully.

”Ara~ Ara~ My main bedroom isn’t usually this busy...”

”Is there a nap party... in my room?”

My face stiffened after hearing the Duchess’s pleasantries, which were a bit of an old-school joke. I’d often written that jokes in the past, but hearing them again made me want to curse my past self for writing such ridiculous jokes.

The Duke just smiled and pulled his shoulders up.

”I want to take a nap, but I still have a lot of work to do,” said the Duke while stroking Master Reina’s head, who was staring sharply at her own mother.

”Oh, that’s too bad. My bed is too cold to sleep in in this hot weather. You can li down and relaxing in there... with me.”

”It was quite tempting, but I had to turn it down.”

”Aaahh~ what a shame... It’s been so long since we take a nap together.”

What am I looking at?

A Duchess who is teasing her own husband in front of everyone to take a nap together?

They are indeed a married couple, but look at the situation and don’t tease each other by thinking everyone has disappeared in your eyes!

With a calm manner, I tried not to be disturbed by the tease joke coming from this husband and wife.

”Uh, I’m not accepting any invitations to nap party. Can you two act normal and not get caught up in your own romances?” Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg said in a cold, sarcastic tone.

Nod...

Nod...

Without uttering a sound, Master Reina and Master Amagi nodded their heads.

With their unanimous response, I felt that this kind of incident often happened between the Duke and Duchess.

”Back to the main topic of our discussion, has Reina agreed to this?” Marchioness Shinano Vii Lichtberg continued in a serious tone.

My ears were suddenly flooded with information that I shouldn’t have heard.

”Yes, I mean... Reina will definitely agrees. She must achieved her main goal to training even harder before entering the Royal Belfast Academy,” said the Duke while stroking Master Reina’s bruised cheek.

”P-Papa... DON’T JUST TOUCH MY CHEEKS THAT STILL HURTS!! HIISSSHH!!” said Master Reina with a loud hissing tone like a cat.

”S-Sorry, I-it’s too cute to touch. Isn’t that right, Liliana?” the Duke said as he looked at me.

Hey! Don’t involve me in your problems!

”Y-Yes,” I wanted to say that rude answer, but this polite answer slipped out of my mouth, anyway.
