As A Maid, I Can Fix Her!

Chapter 22: Chapter 21 - Unique Punishment

I woke up with a pain in the nape of my neck and shoulders, a pain I often feel in my old age.

But this time, the pain I experienced did not come from my wrong sleeping position or the placement of the pillow that made the muscles in my neck feel stiff and painful.

It turned out to be from a little girl who was notoriously evil in the future. A little girl who was naughty and needed to be punished after doing something shameful.

How do I know this?

The answer is very simple: the pajamas I’m wearing have the collar buttons open!

Even a thief would cover up their crimes, but this particular Villainess girl is actually proud of the crimes she’s committed!

Looking at the reflection of the small mirror that was on the small table—right next to my bed, my eyes were drawn to the red bite and kiss marks that came from Master Reina.

I wanted to be angry with Master Reina, but she wouldn’t understand that my anger stemmed from the unbearable shame that her lips left behind on the nape of my neck and shoulders.

”Ugh! This is so embarrassing!” I screamed, burying my face in the pillow and trying not to wake Master Reina.

For this matter, I want to end it peacefully and be able to teach Master Reina... about the shame of the kiss mark on the nape of the neck.

In the storyline of the novel I wrote, a kiss like this would only occur when the main character has understood the heroine’s feelings and wants to show off their romance to those around them. So I added a romantic symbol in the form of a kiss on the nape of the neck, meaning ”She’s mine, move aside!” or something close to that.

However...

Without me realizing, Master Reina had done such a thing to me.

I wanted to scold her, but didn’t dare to do such a thing because my position as apprentice maid.

Well, I’m really a coward about this, huh?

Plllaaaappp...

I placed the small mirror back on the table beside my bed and stared at Master Reina, who was sleeping soundly. Her innocent sleeping face made me even more irritated, and I wanted to retaliate against her for this innocent behavior.

”Phew...”

”Who taught Master Reina to do such a shameful thing?!” I grumbled in a low voice so as not to wake Master Reina from her sleep.

”Whoever it is, you must take responsibility after Master Reina has matured!”

Even though I was angry with Master Reina, I didn’t want to retaliate with physical, just use a mental attacks to haunt little girl.

As for physical attacks, how could I possibly dare to hit her?

For mental attacks, I just need to keep my mouth shut and avoid Master Reina all day.

To be honest, the only sensible option at this point is a mental attack, though...

If I do that, Master Reina will definitely realize the mistake she made.

Yes, this is all I can do.

Toookk...

Toookk...

My room door was knocked on by someone, and I rushed to open it.

Creekkk...

As my bedroom door opened, I saw the Head Maid and the Duchess from behind the door.

”Aaahhh...” My body felt frozen after seeing these two terrifying figures.

”Oh my... a naughty mark of love,” said the Duchess with her eyes fixed on the nape of my neck and shoulders.

With a swift movement, I bowed towards the Duchess and wished her good morning.

”G-Good morning, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld!” Because of the Duchess’s sudden appearance, I almost greeted her in an awkward tone.

”Good morning to you, too, Liliana. Did you have a good sleep party with Reina?” the Duchess replied with an elegant smile.

”Ugh, if it feels good... Also I feel like I’m being eaten alive by Master Reina,” I replied while covering the nape of my neck and shoulders, which contained Master Reina’s kiss marks.

”Fufu~ but you didn’t reject it, right?”

”I was in deep sleep at the time; how could I possibly reject it?”

”A-Aaahh... so it was just Reina’s prank. What a naughty little girl. Do you want to punish her, Liliana?” asked the Duchess with a gentle smile on her face.

”Well, I-I want to punish her, but how??”

Snap!!

The Duchess suddenly snapped her fingers and glanced at the Head Maid; the Duchess’s wink and nod of the Head Maid’s... felt so suspicious to do something.

With light footsteps, the Head Maid quickly entered my room and headed for the window next to the bed. She gently opened the window, pulled the curtain aside, and opened the window to the side.

Since the sun hadn’t yet risen, all I saw was the still-dark and chilly dawn. The wind blowing through my bedroom window was chilly, especially after the Duchess’s gentle smile turned cold.

A smile from a mother who feels so cold to scolded her daughter...

Somehow, I had a bad feeling about Master Reina being punished after making a mistake.

”P-Pardon my impudence, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld...”

”Has Master Reina done something wrong?” I asked curiously.

With a faint smile on her face, the Duchess looked at me with a smile that felt warm.

”Hmm... I didn’t mention that it was the wrong thing, right?”

”Huh?”

Tilting her head, the Duchess gave an ambiguous answer that made me tilt my head as well.

”Do you feel that Reina is a rude and impolite as a noble young lady, Liliana?”

”T-That statement... Does it have anything to do with the lessons of etiquette and noble manners that noble girls are expected to learn when they are young?” I asked to confirm this.

”Ara~ so Liliana feels the same way, huh?” the Duchess replied with a sly smile and glanced at the Head Maid, who was ready to doing something to Master Reina.

I glanced at Master Reina, who was sleeping soundly on the bed, slowly tied up with rope, and her hands locked by strong rope ties.

Uhh, what am I looking at?

Kllaapp...

Klloooppp...

On the other hand, I suddenly heard the sound coming from the horse’s hooves and saw the Duke riding a horse.

”Because Reina has been acting rude lately, my husband and I agreed to discipline Reina in the most effective ways...”

”My mother has used this ”effective way” to educate noble girls to be more polite, friendly, and learn noble etiquette.”

”That happens... By giving the punishment of riding horse while your body is tied up, Teehe~” said the Duchess while sticking out her tongue at me.

While putting on a cute facial expression, the Duchess uttered a cruel punishment—uniquely unheard of in the modern world.

I could only remain silent in response to this cruel, unique punishment.

The Head Maid, who had been carrying Master Reina’s body, now handed her sleeping body to the Duke. While her body was tied up, I could see Master Reina sitting on the horse’s saddle, her hands tied to the reins.

”U-Uuuh, wow, what a... unique punishment, Duchess Adelheid Von Blutfeld.”

”Hehe~ yeah, I often get unique punishments like this from my mother after failing the noble ethics, manners, and politeness test three times.”

”W-Will Master Reina be okay?”

”Fufu~ no need to worry about that, Liliana. That horse saddle was designed for this punishment.”

I don’t know anymore...

What kind of punishment is this...

”Liliana also felt annoyed with Reina, who left red marks on the nape of your neck and shoulders, right?”

”Just think of this as punishment for Reina after failing the basic noble lady etiquette test.”

As Master Reina slowly woke up, the Duke immediately patted his horse’s rump until it galloped away.

”Hmm, father?”

”Why is my father in here?”

Splash!!

Kllaappp...

Klloooppp...

”AAAAAHHH!!”

”WHAT IS THIS?!!”

”WHAT’S IS GOING OOONNN?!!”

The horse was going so fast that the sound of its hooves and Master Reina’s shouts could not be heard.
