Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Upon hearing the middle-aged man’s words, another tourist approached the police and asked, ”What does looking for things have to do with traffic control? We’re in a hurry too, can you let us through first?”

As the road here got blocked, cars gradually started coming up behind, getting stuck along the route.

The police were also a bit irritable and said to a colleague nearby, ”If it really doesn’t work, have the traffic police team come over and set up a checkpoint in the front to let tourists detour for a bit.”

Then he explained to the tourists in front, ”We need to reconstruct the crime scene now, so we really apologize for the inconvenience but we need to temporarily control the area.”

Such a response clearly didn’t convince anyone.

Just then, Li Younan, who had been observing the SUV and restaurant, had a glint in his eye. He stroked his chin and suddenly moved close to the police to ask, ”Is the position of your car and the items now consistent with where they were when they were stolen?”

The police glanced at Li Younan, ”Sorry, we’re handling a case and can’t disclose any details.”

Li Younan smiled, ”Perhaps I can provide you with some ideas.”

Upon hearing Li Younan’s words, the police raised his eyebrows slightly.

For any officer, when someone suddenly stands up during an investigation and says ”I can help you solve the case,” they’re likely to think the person is talking nonsense.

Many people always feel that ”experts are among the people,” but in fact, police investigations follow a mature set of procedures and practices that ordinary people who haven’t been involved can’t understand.

That kind of plot where ”the police can’t solve it, but a random so-called detective can discover details the police missed” often only exists in detective novels.

Of course, the police will still pay attention to those who can provide clues, so after considering for a moment, he said to Li Younan, ”Who are you?”

”I’m a social media influencer,” said Li Younan.

”A social media influencer?” The police’s voice suddenly heightened by several pitches.

But at this moment, someone in the crowd suddenly recognized Li Younan, ”Hey, are you Li Younan?”

”Wow, he really is Li Younan!”

This sparked a commotion, and everyone’s eyes turned to Li Younan.

”Who is Li Younan?”

”You don’t know Li Younan? He’s the one who single-handedly took down a bear!”

”Took down a bear?”

”You don’t know about this? It’s the big news that happened in Sounan Village!”

”He’s the one with over ten million followers, Li Younan!”

The tourists who had been waiting impatiently realized there was a super internet sensation among them, someone who had just recently gained fame for standing up to injustices in the news, and they surged forward to catch a glimpse of Li Younan.

When the crowd squeezed in, Liu Li got pushed to the back, dumbfounded as she watched Li Younan being surrounded.

Right then, Li Younan squeezed out from the crowd, grabbed her hand, and pulled her back.

Seeing the situation getting chaotic, the police quickly decided to bring Li Younan inside the security line in order to control the scene, further managing the crowd of onlookers.

At this point, the detective captain in charge of reconstructing the crime scene, Lobsang Zhaxi, frowned impatiently and said, ”Who let unrelated people in here?”

”He said he has clues,” the young officer felt a jolt and quickly lied, then looked at Li Younan meaning, ”You’re the one who wanted in, don’t drag me down.”

Hearing about a clue, Lobsang Zhaxi’s eyes flashed and he focused on Li Younan, ”You have a clue?”

Li Younan glanced at the mountain behind the restaurant and then at the SUV, saying, ”I just have some conjectures, but I need to verify them.”

Over the past two days, Lobsang Zhaxi had only slept for two hours in total, trying to find the stolen briefcase, and his eyes were somewhat bloodshot.

To be honest, he’s already thought of every possible method.

Since this place isn’t in an urban area, there are no surveillance cameras, and they had already checked all nearby cameras. Nor were there any matches in the vehicle check and human traffic at the time of theft.

Fingerprints had been left in their car, but none matched the database, meaning that it’s a thief with no previous record.

He had even considered whether it could be an international spy, which would make things even more complicated.

Now with someone suddenly jumping out claiming to have a clue, whether genuine or not, Lobsang Zhaxi needed to hear it.

He brought Li Younan and Liu Li directly into the restaurant. After sitting down, Li Younan didn’t waste any time, knowing police time is valuable, he asked, ”Officer, may I ask if there were fingerprints left on the car at that time?”

Lobsang Zhaxi nodded, ”Not many, but fingerprint marks were indeed left, besides there are some palm prints too.”

This is because they found fingerprints and palm prints on the car, leading them to conclude it’s a case of theft.

Li Younan said, ”Can I take a look?”

Lobsang Zhaxi raised his eyebrow slightly, ”You want to see the fingerprints? With the naked eye?”

”Yes, I want to validate my thoughts.”

Lobsang Zhaxi’s expression grew serious, ”You can discern results with the naked eye?”

Li Younan was equally serious, ”In order to prove the rigor of my conjecture, I need to see the fingerprints.”

Lobsang Zhaxi paused, squinting while assessing Li Younan, and then instructed the police officer nearby, ”Bring over the printed fingerprints and palm prints we have from the suspect earlier.”

Very quickly, the officer retrieved two A4 sheets with printed fingerprints, which had been enlarged significantly for easier viewing with the naked eye.
