Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

”First and foremost, in my first video, I mentioned that we’ve trained for six months on snow mountains at an altitude of 5200 meters. Everyone seemed to think we had only climbed peaks of 5200 meters and dared to challenge Mount Everest, but that’s a misunderstanding, haha.”

”The 5200 meters training I referred to is merely for mountaineering skiing.”

”In fact, the snow mountain we trained on is, in terms of terrain, no simpler than Mount Everest. It also has glaciers, hidden ice crevices, and 50-degree slopes, which can greatly simulate the terrain obstacles we might encounter on Mount Everest during fast descent skiing.”

”We chose to train in mountaineering skiing there simply because the lower altitude allows more physical attempts.”

”Secondly, concerning climbing Mount Everest, especially from the North Slope to the summit, we understand the difficulty of this journey better than the audience, and we also hold a deep respect for this trip.”

”Perhaps friends who haven’t paid much attention to mountaineering may not realize, but climbing Mount Everest has strict prerequisites; one needs to obtain a climbing permit to proceed.”

”I can only say this: anyone who can obtain a Mount Everest North Slope climbing permit must have either climbed at least two peaks above 7000 meters or climbed a peak above 8000 meters.”

”These are mandatory requirements, and anyone who chooses to climb Mount Everest from the North Slope must fulfill at least one of these conditions!”

”In fact, our team has already climbed three peaks over 7000 meters high, and I personally have reached the summit of Mount Everest from the South Slope before. This is my climbing credential.”

Then in the video, Lian Feng’s climbing certificate and the photos taken at the summit were inserted.

”During this North Slope climb, our team also includes two experienced guides, each of whom has ascended Mount Everest once or twice.”

”So, regarding skills in climbing Mount Everest, there’s no need for anyone to worry about us.”

”As for this Mount Everest climb, in truth, we’ve been preparing for over a year. The previous video’s mention of six months was merely for specialized training in mountaineering skiing.”

”The reason the previous video was only introducing mountaineering skiing at an altitude of 5200 meters is because such mountaineering skiing is a blank field domestically, and the focus of this challenge is not just climbing Mount Everest from the North Slope. I apologize for neglecting the audience’s lack of understanding of climbing Mount Everest.”

”The next mountaineering window period is about to arrive, and our altitude adaptation is almost complete. Please stay tuned, we will officially set off in three days!”

In this video, after Lian Feng showcased proof of his previous climb of Mount Everest and their specialized video training fast-skating mountaineering skiing, online opinion again underwent a jaw-dropping reversal.

The previously criticizing voices suddenly transformed into eager expectations.

”Oh amazing! I’m speechless! All those who were trash-talking come out and bow down! This mountaineering resume is thicker than my CV.”

”Climbed the South Slope—face slap for the haters? This level is national team standard!”

”For your information, the North Slope permit condition is real! Only the elites can get it. Those who were criticizing before have no clue about the mountaineering circle.”

”Key point: domestic mountaineering skiing is a blank field!! This is the pace to go down in history! Open your eyes and see the world, haters!”

”Stop calling foreign climbers from Poland gods already. The Qing dynasty ended over 100 years ago; if foreigners can do it, why can’t we?”

Liu Li looked at these comments wanting to laugh, saying, ”Netizens are really funny, they change faces just like that; this public perception turned so fast.”

Li Younan sighed quietly, saying with deeper meaning, ”It’s not necessarily a good thing.”

”Hmm?” Liu Li looked over in confusion.

...

The night in Rikaze was crisp and fresh.

The camper was warm and cozy, Liu Li curled up on the sofa browsing her phone, while Li Younan sorted the gear for their upcoming trip to Mount Everest base camp.

”Li Younan...” Liu Li said, ”It seems like something happened to Lian Feng and his team!”

Li Younan paused, walked over to her side.

On the screen was a rapidly climbing topic: Lian Feng’s team missing on Mount Everest’s North Slope.

He took the phone, quickly going through the fragmented information.

Rescue efforts were underway, but the specifics were unclear.

Online, all sorts of speculation and harsh voices were beginning to spread.

...

Fierce winds like countless icy blades tore at the brightly colored mountain tents.

Lian Feng gazed through the frost-coated tent window at a world blanketed in chaotic white.

”Captain, the wind speed is still increasing, it’s over 80!” Ajie, in charge of weather monitoring, shouted, his voice slightly distorted by the wind noise.

The marks of frostbite and high-altitude UV radiation deepened on Lian Feng’s face.

He checked his watch, then glanced at his weary but still determined team members.

They had arrived here ahead of schedule, in their peak physical and morale state.

”The original window period is still 6 hours away; we can’t wait.”

Lian Feng’s voice was hoarse but resolute, ”There’s no telling how long the wind will blow. If we delay, our strength and oxygen won’t last. Seize the chance, summit, and then descend immediately!”

No one objected.

Those who reached here were all warriors who placed life and death aside.

They rapidly checked their gear: ice axes, ascenders, safety locks, oxygen masks... every movement slowed by cold and lack of oxygen, yet executed with precision.
