Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Compared to Lian Feng, the online opinions about Li Younan are noticeably much better.

After all, as a mega streamer with tens of millions of followers, Li Younan doesn’t have many haters, and his rise to fame has largely been built on positive energy and main themes.

So, when he released his video, people’s main focus wasn’t Li Younan’s motives... No one would suspect that Li Younan’s announcement to climb Everest and ski down from it was just for attention and gimmicks.

After all, when an ordinary person who has never eaten at a Michelin three-star restaurant posts on social media, you might think they’re showing off. But if a billionaire posts a picture of dining at Michelin, you’d just focus on him having lunch and whether it’s healthy... In general, you wouldn’t associate it with showing off.

Does a mega internet celebrity like Li Younan even need more traffic?

To put it bluntly, other athletes, including the Polish ace who recently climbed Everest and skied down, and previously Andre Baljir, rely on Everest to break into the circle... Without Everest, who would know them?

But for Li Younan, it’s completely the opposite... Again, bluntly speaking, when Li Younan livestreams flirting, he gains more views than those mountaineering heroes who risk their lives challenging the extremes.

Due to his extreme fame, when Li Younan released his video, more ordinary people, who never cared about Everest climbing, started learning about this extreme human challenge.

Even many self-media marketing accounts that slice Li Younan’s videos for a living found a new hot topic for creation—detailing the difficulties Li Younan may encounter on this journey, explaining in simple language how tough climbing Everest is, analyzing Li Younan’s possibility of success in climbing Everest and skiing down, and so on.

Regarding Everest, naturally, ordinary people have great awe because it’s the highest peak in the world. Whether in textbooks or various literary works, Everest exists as a symbol of the ultimate human challenge.

Although, in terms of actual difficulty, Everest may not be the toughest mountain to conquer... But its height alone makes climbing it an ultimate challenge in the heart of every mountaineer.

Since no one doubts Li Younan’s motives, and Li Younan didn’t clearly express why he decided to do this in the video, some speculations gradually formed.

If not for the attention, then what for?

Linked to Lian Feng’s recent climbing failure, the answer seems obvious.

Everyone knows that Li Younan is a very positive person.

His positivity is reflected in many details of his videos.

Although he never actively promotes positivity in his videos, a person’s understanding and way of thinking unconsciously reveal themselves through the content they release.

Whether it’s the noble restoration of Forbidden City artifacts or a casual comment in a video, his understanding, his genuine sincerity, and enthusiasm gradually shape his profile.

Back to the matter at hand...

Clearly, when Li Younan saw Lian Feng’s failure and the negative comments towards Lian Feng’s team from netizens... He couldn’t hold back.

And then, recalling Li Younan’s offhand remark in the video, ”I don’t feel where the difficulty lies,” somehow... It ignited a spark!

Li Younan’s fans started to realize this is a chance to establish his reputation.

Of course, some negative comments are bound to appear because... humans are the most complex species in terms of diversity.

Yet, these negative comments don’t form a scale... After all, the main critique for such extreme challenges is the motive; if they can’t accuse Li Younan of doing it for attention, then the impact is minimal... At most, they might say he’s biting off more than he can chew or praise foreign heroes, but these negatives are mocked by Li Younan’s fans in turns.

Still, Li Younan also knows that the current commentary about him is overwhelmingly positive, which isn’t necessarily a good thing... Remember, domestic support is all based on ”victory,” and if he fails, the higher he’s praised now, the harder he’ll fall.

Li Younan won’t be influenced by these comments.

His mindset is incredibly calm... In fact, even without Lian Feng’s incident, he would’ve chosen to climb Everest.

After all... since he’s already here.

And as more and more streamers and marketing accounts analyze Li Younan’s climb, people gradually start to focus on the possibilities.

Compared to Lian Feng, truthfully, people have more confidence in Li Younan.

Though the only notable achievement that can be checked is his oxygen-free summit of Gongga Mountain.

But due to this incident, his previous Gongga Mountain climb was revisited and analyzed deeply... That climb caused quite a stir, and many details are documented—Li Younan’s Gongga Mountain adventure was more than just reaching the summit.

He climbed oxygen-free while saving someone, and the whole process could be described not as easy but rather effortless and leisurely...

And in terms of skiing, a highly upvoted snowboarding video of Li Younan is seeing another surge in views.
