Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

Tuantuan gurgled twice and then skipped away.

At this time, the enigmatic crow would take about two weeks for its wings to gradually mature, and then it could start practicing flying.

Not planning to leave for the moment, Li Younan took Tuantuan outside to practice some basic commands, like letting it fly back or fly to a designated place.

To better command Tuantuan, Li Younan used electronic components prepared in the car to make a simple signal receiver, which he hung around Tuantuan’s neck.

This signal receiver had GPS positioning functionality and a small sound mechanism, allowing Li Younan to issue some voice commands to Tuantuan remotely.

When Tuantuan flew very high and far, Li Younan could use this function to call Tuantuan back.

After a few attempts, Tuantuan quickly mastered these commands.

Then, Li Younan let Tuantuan play by itself with peace of mind.

In this vast and sparsely populated area, unless it encountered natural enemies like golden eagles or bearded vultures, there were generally no problems.

However, during the day, the owl didn’t like to run too far as its vision was nearsighted at this time, so it flew around near the RV, and when it returned, it accidentally bumped into a tree branch and stumbled...

Seeing this, Li Younan sighed and rubbed his forehead.

After that, Tuantuan stopped messing around and stayed inside the RV.

Li Younan then took Liu Li to stroll around the town.

A silver shop caught Li Younan’s attention.

...

Inside the shop were two silversmiths, an old silversmith and a young silversmith.

The old silversmith looked gentle, not working but instead watching the young silversmith forge silver and do handcrafting.

The young silversmith was only younger in age compared to the old silversmith but was stocky, with a vaguely unruly look between his eyebrows.

Besides Tibetan people’s belts and various silver and gold-inlaid items, their store also had Tibetan swords in various shapes, including curved swords and large swords over 1.2 meters, all wrapped in scabbards.

Upon seeing Li Younan come in, the old silversmith greeted him, ”Boss, looking to buy something?”

Li Younan casually replied, ”I want to take a look first.”

”Feel free to look around,” he said.

Liu Li followed Li Younan, curiously looking around the store.

To be honest, with Li Younan’s discerning eye nowadays, he could naturally spot details that many outsiders or even ordinary insiders couldn’t see.

With just a quick glance, he already had a general understanding of the items in this silver shop.

How to say? The handmade items and industrial products were half and half, perhaps industrial products might even dominate, especially those Tibetan swords; Li Younan immediately could tell they were all industrial crafts, probably made in a small workshop in Yiwu or Zhejiang.

Li Younan casually picked up an exquisite small knife and drew it from its sheath.

He immediately noticed that although this blade was forged, it was obviously mechanically forged rather than the advertised handcrafted Tibetan knife.

Of course, the blade had gone through an aging process aesthetically; however, the absurd part was its rather high price.

The old silversmith laughed and said, ”Boss, you have a good eye, this knife looks very fitting for you.”

Li Younan smiled and put the knife down.

In his view, this knife was an utter failure.

In terms of the knife’s intrinsic performance, the steel used was merely ordinary 1045 carbon steel, cheap in cost. The only advantage of this forged knife was its low cost, with all other aspects being disadvantages, such as poor rust resistance, low hardness, inadequate sharpness retention, and easy deformation with long-term use.

From the knife’s collection value standpoint, it had no merits at all; after all, what collectible value does an industrial forged knife have?

If it sold for a dozen yuan, Li Younan would feel it’s worth the money. But this thing actually sold for over 300, making Li Younan’s mood somewhat complex, wondering how many people had been fleeced.

After looking around, to his regret, even the truly handcrafted silver items in the silversmith store were rather crudely crafted, completely failing to capture his interest.

He sighed slightly; it’s only natural since his discerning eye cannot be satisfied with ordinary items anymore.

As he was about to leave, three young men suddenly walked into the silver shop.

The leading young man had a thick beard, yet intriguingly, instead of appearing old, his beard seemed deliberately grown to make him look less youthful.

The young man had a cheerful smile on his face, and as he entered the shop, he headed straight to one silversmith, while pulling out a knife, ”Boss, can you take a look and see if you can repair this knife for me?”

The young silversmith furrowed his brow and muttered first, ”I’m a silversmith, not a swordsmith.”

Yet he still picked up the knife and took a glance, then waved his hand, ”This knife can’t be repaired.”

Hearing the silversmith’s words, the young man sighed slightly, unable to hide his disappointment.

His companion consoled him, ”Forget it, if it can’t be repaired, you can use my knife.”

The young man, somewhat unwilling to give up, asked, ”What’s the difficulty in repairing this knife?”

At this time, the old silversmith chimed in with a smile, ”Your knife is a stainless steel knife, not one of our Tibetan knives; even if it’s repaired, it certainly won’t be as hard as it was before.”
