Red Bull sponsorships are extremely difficult to come by.

So when Liu Yu received a call from someone claiming to be a representative from Red Bull’s brand department, he was initially quite excited.

This meant more money was coming to them, ahem... no, it meant that Li Younan was being recognized.

Having worked in advertising for years, Liu Yu was very aware of the truth behind Red Bull sponsorships.

Red Bull’s sponsorship model is completely different from ordinary brands; it doesn’t look for sponsorship candidates but actively discovers individuals or projects that fit its brand’s tone.

Red Bull doesn’t even have a public application channel but uses a secret scouting mechanism.

There is a strict standard for those whom Red Bull sponsors.

First is top-notch capability.

That’s beyond doubt.

Next is a spirit of adventure, the courage to challenge oneself, embodying Red Bull’s trait of transcending limits—not only daring to risk their lives but knowing how to do it.

Besides that, one also needs personal charisma, such as a unique story and a strong presence that can be freely expressed in front of the camera.

On top of this, if there is a certain media influence, even better, as a larger fan base results in higher sponsorship amounts.

Because Red Bull sponsors the top individual in each dangerous field.

So even someone as strong as Li Younan, who performed outstandingly in the ”Alone in the Wilderness” program and has climbed Gongga Mountain, still had some way to go to meet Red Bull’s standards.

In a sense, earning a Red Bull sponsorship is an honor in itself.

Red Bull’s greatest achievement in brand marketing is maintaining this tone over the years.

After chatting a bit with the other party, Liu Yu learned more inside information about Red Bull’s sponsorship.

Red Bull’s sponsorship is an asymmetric relationship; Red Bull holds the initiative. They have a professional team called the ”Red Bull Daredevil Team” that secretly observes potential candidates for months or even years and only contacts them when the time is right.

Their proactive contact now naturally indicated that the timing was seen as ripe.

And this opportune moment was triggered by Li Younan’s live-streamed Mount Everest climb and snowboarding descent.

The Red Bull representative responsible for contacting Liu Yu casually mentioned that since Liu Yu wasn’t able to make commercial decisions directly for Li Younan, they were eager to reach him.

After all, Li Younan was currently live streaming, and they could be reached at the forward camp, but as he moved up to Camp C1, communication signals might not be as strong.

Liu Yu understood and subsequently called Li Younan.

...

Li Younan obviously couldn’t keep the live broadcast on all day, 24 hours nonstop.

After all, even if he didn’t need rest, several of his devices did.

At this moment, he had just said goodbye to his friends in the live room, and they had agreed to resume the broadcast the next morning.

If not for waiting for the weather window, Li Younan would have gone up that day, but this decision saved him a pointless trip.

He had already set up his tent and lay down warmly inside.

It must be said that with the addition of modern technology, the biggest challenge in climbing Mount Everest in the 1960s and 70s—staying warm—was no longer an issue today.

It’s very warm hiding in a professional sleeping bag.

Not long after lying down, he suddenly received a call.

The call was from Liu Yu.

Looking at the caller ID on his screen, Li Younan hesitated for a moment.

After all, he didn’t know what this guy was calling him for at this time.

He had informed Liu Yu about his decision to climb Mount Everest beforehand.

It was a pretty important matter, as he was traveling with Liu Li now.

Given that climbing Mount Everest is a dangerous activity, Liu Yu would certainly nag a bit for the sake of his sister’s safety.

It took quite a bit of effort to communicate this with Liu Yu beforehand.

But now that this matter was settled, what was Liu Yu calling about?

Li Younan couldn’t help but think... could it be that Liu Li told her brother about their situation?

If that was the case...

Thinking about it, Li Younan felt a small twinge of conflict.

Of course, he wasn’t afraid; he had been with Liu Yu’s sister openly, without shame, completely clean, not a shameful matter—they both had agreed.

No need to be afraid, not at all.

Li Younan took a deep breath, calmed his voice, and answered the phone: ”Hello, what’s up?”

”Where are you now?”

”I’m on my way to climb Mount Everest.”

”I know, you haven’t reached that Camp C1 you mentioned, right?”

”Yes, I haven’t reached it.”

”It’s like this, Red Bull just called me. They want to communicate with you directly. Do you think that’s okay? If you agree, I’ll give them your number.”

”Red Bull?”

Li Younan was immediately interested, rubbing his chin, ”Sure, you can give them my number.”

After hanging up, Li Younan breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Looks like Liu Li hadn’t told Liu Yu about that yet.

However, Li Younan thought somewhat mischievously, Liu Yu loves his sister so much, what reaction would he have if he really knew about it?

As for the Red Bull thing, Li Younan was quite interested too.

Red Bull sponsoring an athlete always had them in a leading position, which means that if Red Bull didn’t actively contact you, you couldn’t connect with this pathway through an agent.
