Leisurely Traveler with Check-in System

”Leaving base camp, the first destination is the transition camp.”

”For those who often climb Mount Everest from the north face, they know this part isn’t particularly difficult.”

Li Younan strolled leisurely while casually explaining to the audience in the live stream.

Of course, the live stream chat exploded with his statements.

Though the comments were still flying fast, various kinds of banter were visible.

”What on earth is he babbling about? I understand every word of ’climbing Mount Everest from the north,’ but when put together, I can’t understand at all!”

”Not particularly difficult? Listen to him, is that even human speech?”

”Theoretically, at this moment, the oxygen level at Old Li’s location is only 45% of that at sea level.”

”Is the background fake?”

...

The live stream’s split-screen view, with both first-person and third-person perspectives, offers an excellent viewer experience.

The path to the transition camp is a gentle slope, with less than a 600-meter altitude rise, but it’s quite long, a full ten kilometers.

For Li Younan, this kind of distance or altitude isn’t particularly taxing.

After all, his altitude experience is directly reduced by 5,000 meters, so to him, the altitude here feels similar to just a few hundred meters... The Chengdu plain itself is over 500 meters in altitude.

He decides to take advantage of the long walk to meditate for a while.

On the expansive moraine plains, gazing at Mount Everest, with such a great view, watching the world’s highest peak getting closer and closer, Li Younan gradually felt a sense of pride rising within him.

Since there wasn’t much scenery to describe, Li Younan gradually stopped talking, yet the live stream remained popular; the audience could watch him walk for a long time.

Suddenly, Li Younan said casually, ”Hmm... Mount Everest does look pretty high, huh...”

”????”

The chat began to overflow with ”?” marks.

Li Younan coughed slightly; it was just a spontaneous comment... After all, his mind was preoccupied with Gongga Mountain, plus he didn’t really feel the altitude, and in a daze, it’s easy to forget Mount Everest’s height.

Like this, after over three hours of walking, Li Younan reached the transition camp.

Ahead, the outline of the transition camp appeared, and a glance at his watch revealed he’d completed the journey in only three hours and three minutes.

Li Younan began explaining again: ”I took three hours, but I don’t recommend the live stream audience to go this fast... Theoretically, a pace of four to five hours on this route is more reasonable.”

At this point, some viewers in the live stream began adapting to Li Younan’s earnest style of explaining seemingly useless knowledge, and started jokingly riffing: ”Who do you think you are looking down on? I can do it in two hours tops! Remember to carry me down...”

”For the two-hour person, I’d recommend immediate cremation...”

”Hahahahaha...”

Upon arriving at the advance camp, Li Younan found another climbing team already there.

Li Younan filmed from a distance, then said to his audience, ”Climbing Mount Everest isn’t possible year-round; there are two windows, the spring window from April to May, which is the current period, and the summer-autumn window from September to October.”

”A window period means that during the year, the weather conditions like wind, snow, and visibility are relatively favorable.”

”So, during the window periods, you’ll encounter many climbing teams.”

”Let’s go say hi to that climbing team.”

That team was obviously better prepared.

When they saw Li Younan wearing his live-streaming gear, they were shocked.

”You... you’re live-streaming at Mount Everest?”

”Yeah... making the most of the signal below 7,000 meters altitude to share with my fans.”

”Damn... you’re not afraid of dying.”

”Haha...”

”Hey, are you Li Younan?”

”Yeah.”

”I know you! Without oxygen on Gongga, and you even saved someone? Amazing!”

”Haha...”

”Where’s your guide? Your team... you’re not planning to solo climb Mount Everest, are you?”

Because climbing Mount Everest requires a long period of acclimatization training, they’re somewhat out of touch with recent news about Li Younan online.

Li Younan said, ”That’s the current plan.”

”Aaaaaa?”

”It’s too dangerous!”

”Are you ignoring your life?”

”You this...”

Then suddenly, they noticed the snowboard on Li Younan’s back...

”Wait... are you planning to snowboard down?”

Li Younan glanced at the snowboard, simply smiled: ”That’s the plan...”

”Solo! North face! Snowboard! My god... I don’t even know how to describe this behavior, it’s insane!”

But even more shocking was yet to come; after casually chatting and resting for a while, Li Younan planned to set off again.

At first, the climbers thought he was doing acclimatization training, but seeing him load all his gear, they were puzzled: ”You’re really planning to continue on?”

It’s known that every team arriving at the transition camp usually rests here for at least a day or two to acclimatize.

Li Younan nodded: ”I’ve recovered pretty much, so no need to rest.”

”No... what break! Acclimatizing!”

”Haha... No need.”

With every member of the climbing team dumbstruck, Li Younan continued on his way.
