Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 520: Chapter 396: Will It Go Smoothly?

”So what’s the name of the film?” Zeng Lili asked with a smile towards Xue Qin, ”We still don’t know yet.”

”Behind the Scenes.” Xue Qin pronounced these two words, ”I want to name it ’Behind the Scenes.’”

...

Zhou Lan arrived with Wang Jing.

Swiftly.

Zhou Yun said, ”Sister Lan, you’re fast.”

Zhou Lan replied, ”Of course, the early bird catches the worm. If someone else gets ahead, wouldn’t that mean missing this great opportunity?”

Zhou Yun smiled.

Zhou Lan said to Wang Jing, ”Xiao Jing, this opportunity was fought for by your Sister Xiao Yun, seize it well.”

Wang Jing nodded, expressing special gratitude to Zhou Yun: ”Thank you, Sister Xiao Yun.”

”Work hard, the script for this play isn’t out yet, and it’s quite different from what you usually perform. There won’t be much time to prepare,” said Zhou Yun, ”It requires focused attention, and very quick responsiveness.”

Wang Jing agreed.

They took Wang Jing to meet Shi Luoqi and Xue Qin.

In fact, it was already decided that Wang Jing would play the girlfriend of the male lead in ’Behind the Scenes’; now, it was just a formality.

Nominally called: Audition.

In front of Wang Jing, Shi Luoqi said, ”Zhou Lan, as you know, ’Behind the Scenes’ has a limited budget. I can’t offer Wang Jing the market rate for his fee.”

Zhou Lan was mentally prepared and directly took out a contract from her bag, saying, ”Sister Luo Qi, Director Xue, it’s lucky for Wang Jing to have the chance to act in this movie. This contract I drafted has a blank space for the fee. You fill it in. I’ve already discussed it with Wang Jing. It doesn’t matter how much the fee is, we are committed to doing this film.”

Shi Luoqi looked at her surprised, then turned to Wang Jing.

Wang Jing was a bit nervous.

Shi Luoqi was renowned; meeting Shi Luoqi for Wang Jing was like a young monk suddenly meeting a high monk who had attained enlightenment, like a novice encountering a master in the field.

Wang Jing recalled what Zhou Lan told her yesterday: ”Xiao Jing, I’ll be honest with you. If you don’t take this movie, I have several web dramas with good pay lined up for you. My commission would be higher too, but I always tell you, and I tell Zhou Yun the same thing, acting, being an actor, or even if you don’t pursue this career, no matter what you do, don’t just look at the immediate gains, don’t just care about immediate interests. ’Behind the Scenes’, there’s no script now, I can’t tell you this play will definitely do well or be successful, let me say this, Zhou Yun took this movie without asking for any fees.”

Over the past year, Wang Jing had performed in several web dramas and had one released, gaining her the first batch of fans, and she had initially witnessed the temptation of fame and profit within the circle.

This year, whether it was shooting films or attending events, she almost never encountered any unequal treatment, or contempt and ridicule from others.

Wang Jing had seen such experiences happen to others.

She was clear why all these happened. Of course, if she wasn’t clear, the people around her would remind her.

Wang Jing came back to her senses, smiled at Shi Luoqi, and said, ”I’ll cherish this opportunity and give my best effort.”

...

On the first day that ’Behind the Scenes’ began shooting, Zhou Yun found her heart beating extremely fast. She knew she was nervous. All the enthusiasm to take on this project seemed less effective when faced with reality.

She didn’t know what would come out of the first day of shooting.

Would it go smoothly?
