Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 509: Chapter 389: On-Location Filming (Part 3)

Zhou Yun quickly smiled and shook her head, saying, ”No, no, I really like Sister-in-law.”

Shen Yao shrugged and said, ”My own wife, I know her. She’s actually very kind-hearted and nice, but she feels insecure because I’m always running around.”

Zhou Yun smiled. She didn’t know what to say.

”She spoke very highly of you when she came back.” Shen Yao said.

Zhou Yun could only modestly respond, ”Really? I don’t think so.”

Shen Yao: ”I’m not lying to you.”

After some small talk, Shen Yao said, ”Alright, I won’t disturb your meal anymore. I’m going to find Zhiliang. Take your time eating.”

”Okay, bye Brother Shen.”

After everyone left, Zhou Yun also put down her chopsticks.

”You guys take your time eating, I’m going to the restroom,” she said to Cao Jun and Zheng Xiaojue.

”Alright, Sister Xiao Yun, we’ll wait here for you,” Zheng Xiaojue said, her cheeks puffed out. She always had a good appetite.

Zhou Yun got up and headed to the restroom.

Just around the corner, she saw the back of Liu Yuqian disappearing around it.

Zhou Yun didn’t really want to run into Liu Yuqian in the restroom; they would have to exchange a few words.

She thought for a moment and decided to go to another restroom.

Zhou Yun went upstairs to find the restroom.

After wandering around for a while, she still couldn’t find it.

Could it be that there’s no restroom on the second floor? Just as this thought came to her mind, Zhou Yun turned a corner and suddenly encountered a man and a woman hugging in the shadows, their lips glued together, passionately kissing.

Zhou Yun’s eyes widened in shock, and she instinctively stepped back to hide.

After a second, she came back to her senses and cautiously peeked again.

There was no mistake, the woman was Meng Ran.

And the man... Zhou Yun didn’t recognize him; he was a young and handsome guy.

An actor, perhaps?

Zhou Yun quickly fled.

She didn’t want to witness this scene.

Running for the hills.

Eventually, Zhou Yun returned to the restroom on the first floor. She couldn’t hold it any longer.

”Ah, Xiao Yun!” Liu Yuqian had just finished washing her hands and came out. She looked at Zhou Yun with surprise and said, ”You came to the restroom too.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Yeah.”

They exchanged pleasantries with a smile.

Zhou Yun: ”I’m going in first.”

Liu Yuqian hummed in acknowledgment.

Zhou Yun entered a stall, and after a while, she suddenly heard footsteps outside, approaching from far away, probably two people.

”Zhou Yun is really pretty in person, not at all like what they say about her being a camera-shy.”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

It seems the restroom is always a hotbed for gossip.

She heard more gossip about herself.

”Ah well, she is pretty, but isn’t she very aloof? She barely responds to anyone except when talking to the director and Shen Yao. I don’t like her.”

”If I were a celebrity, I’d probably do the same. If I had her face, I’d also ignore you guys.”

”Ha ha ha, that’s true.”

...

Zhou Yun muttered to herself: Since when did she start ignoring people?

She had been on the set for just one morning, most of which she spent filming. What, was she expected to shake hands with everyone like a visiting leader before starting work?

These words kept her internal complaints going.

Nevertheless, she waited for the people to leave before coming out of the stall.

Otherwise, how awkward would that be?

Zhou Yun washed her hands and headed out, running into Meng Ran coming in the opposite direction.

Meng Ran, looking cheerful as a spring breeze, saw Zhou Yun and greeted her warmly, calling her Sister Xiao Yun.

Zhou Yun greeted back with a smile.

That afternoon, Zhou Yun found out who the young man was that Meng Ran was kissing in the corner at noon.

Zhou Yun was wrong; he wasn’t a celebrity but a photography assistant named Xu Caisheng.

The two who had kissed so inseparably were now acting as if they didn’t know each other on the set, not even exchanging a glance.

This made Zhou Yun somewhat puzzled. Were these two secretly dating?

But Meng Ran’s performance was still lacking in the afternoon. Because of her, Wan Zhiliang had to call ”cut” who knows how many times.

Later, Yan Zhenxi became slightly impatient and said, ”I’m going to the restroom.”

And she left.

The atmosphere became somewhat awkward.

Meng Ran’s cheeks turned red.

Just as Zhou Yun was about to say something to ease the atmosphere, she heard Liu Yuqian tenderly say, ”Xiao Ran, don’t worry, take it slow, it’s fine. Once you find your groove, it’ll be all good.”

Meng Ran’s cheeks flushed even more red with a bang.

Zhou Yun just felt it was truly awkward.

It was obvious that Liu Yuqian said this on purpose. Yan Zhenxi hadn’t directly said that she left because of Meng Ran’s constant NGs, but with Liu Yuqian’s remark, it gave off that impression.

Zhou Yun let out a soft sigh.

Zheng Xiaojue didn’t realize anything had happened. Hearing Zhou Yun sigh, she asked, ”What’s wrong, Sister Xiao Yun?”

Zhou Yun: ”It’s nothing. You play with your phone, I’ll read the script for a bit.”

There was nothing she could do to ease the awkwardness for Meng Ran.

All she could hope was that Meng Ran would be able to adjust on her own.
