Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 512: Chapter 390: Youthful Rebellion (Part 3)

Zhou Yun quickly smiled and shook her head, saying, ”Not at all, I really like your wife.”

Shen Yao shrugged his shoulders and said, ”She’s my own wife. I know her. She’s actually very kind-hearted and nice. It’s just that she feels a bit insecure because of my constant traveling.”

Zhou Yun smiled. She didn’t know what to say.

”She’s been praising you nonstop since she came back,” Shen Yao said.

Zhou Yun could only modestly respond, ”Really? I don’t think so.”

Shen Yao: ”I’m not lying to you.”

After a bit more chit-chat, Shen Yao said, ”Alright, I won’t disturb your meal any longer. I’m going to look for Zhiliang. Take your time eating.”

”Okay, goodbye Brother Shen.”

Zhou Yun waited for everyone to leave before she also put down her chopsticks.

”You guys eat slowly, I’m going to the bathroom,” she said to Cao Jun and Zheng Xiaojue.

”Okay, Sister Xiao Yun, we’ll wait for you here.” Zheng Xiaojue’s cheeks were puffed out. She always had a healthy appetite.

Zhou Yun stood up and headed for the bathroom.

Around the corner, she saw the back of Liu Yuqian just as she turned a corner.

Zhou Yun didn’t really want to encounter Liu Yuqian in the bathroom and have to exchange a few words.

After thinking for a moment, she decided to use another bathroom.

Zhou Yun went upstairs in search of a bathroom.

She searched for quite a while and couldn’t find it.

Could it be that the second floor doesn’t have a bathroom? This thought had just popped into Zhou Yun’s mind when, as she turned a corner, she suddenly stumbled upon a man and a woman hugging in a shadowy corner, their lips glued together in a passionate kiss.

Zhou Yun’s eyes widened in shock; she instinctively stepped back, hiding herself.

After a second, she regained her composure and peeked out again cautiously.

She wasn’t mistaken; the woman was Meng Ran.

And the man... Zhou Yun didn’t know him; he was a young and handsome guy.

Does he look like an actor, perhaps?

Zhou Yun quickly made her escape.

She didn’t want to witness this scene.

And fled in a panic.

Ultimately, Zhou Yun still returned to the bathroom on the first floor. She couldn’t hold it any longer.

”Ah, Xiao Yun!” Liu Yuqian had just finished washing her hands and was coming out when she saw Zhou Yun with a surprised and delighted face, saying, ”You’re here to use the bathroom too.”

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”Yeah.”

They exchanged pleasantries with a laugh.

Zhou Yun: ”I’ll go in first.”

Liu Yuqian hummed in acknowledgment.

Zhou Yun entered the cubicle and after a while, suddenly there were footsteps outside, getting closer and closer, probably belonging to two people.

”Zhou Yun is really beautiful in person, not at all like what they say about her being a ’ghost upon exposure to light.’”

Zhou Yun: ”...”

It seems the bathroom is always the epicenter of gossip.

She overheard gossip related to herself again.

”Alas, she is beautiful, but doesn’t she give off a cold vibe? Apart from talking to the director and Shen Yao, she barely acknowledges anyone else. I don’t like her.”

”Celebrities, aren’t they always a bit like that? If I had a face like hers, I’d be ignoring you all too.”

”Hahaha, you’ve got a point.”

...

Zhou Yun inwardly cringed: When did she ever ignore people?

She had only been on set one morning, most of which was spent acting. What did they expect her to do, shake hands with everyone like a leader making an inspection before getting to work?

The thought tumbled endlessly in her mind.

Still, she waited until the crowd had dispersed before leaving the cubicle.

Otherwise, wouldn’t it be awkward?

After washing her hands, Zhou Yun walked out, just in time to come face to face with Meng Ran.

Meng Ran had a spring in her step, and upon seeing Zhou Yun, she beamed with a warm smile, calling out Sister Xiao Yun.

Zhou Yun greeted her with a smile.

In the afternoon, Zhou Yun learned who the young man Meng Ran had been kissing in the corner during lunchtime was.

Zhou Yun had guessed wrong; he wasn’t a celebrity but a photography assistant named Xu Caisheng.

The two people who kissed as if they couldn’t bear to part in the afternoon on set behaved as if they didn’t know each other, not even exchanging a glance.

This puzzled Zhou Yun. Were these two secretly dating?

However, Meng Ran’s performance was still not up to scratch in the afternoon, which led to Wan Zhiliang calling ”cut” countless times because of her errors.

Eventually, Yan Zhenxi, somewhat impatient, said, ”I’m going to the bathroom.”

And she left.

The atmosphere became a bit awkward.

Meng Ran’s cheeks blushed.

Just as Zhou Yun was about to say something to ease the tension, she heard Liu Yuqian’s cooing voice, ”Xiao Ran, don’t worry, take it slow, it’s alright, you’ll find your rhythm soon.”

Meng Ran’s cheeks flushed an even deeper red in an instant.

Zhou Yun only felt how truly embarrassing it was.

Liu Yuqian was obviously doing this intentionally. Yan Zhenxi didn’t directly say her departure was because she was impatient with Meng Ran’s frequent NGs, but Liu Yuqian’s words created that impression for everyone else.

Zhou Yun sighed softly.

Zheng Xiaojue, completely oblivious to what had just happened, heard Zhou Yun’s sigh and asked, ”What’s wrong, Sister Xiao Yun?”

Zhou Yun: ”It’s nothing, you play on your phone. I’m going to read the script for a while.”

She couldn’t do anything to ease the embarrassment of Meng Ran’s situation.

She could only hope that Meng Ran would be able to adjust on her own.
