Three Towers Game

Chapter 251: Chapter 108: First Kill in the Slaughter Tower and the Chat Channel_2

Wen Xishu felt immediate disappointment.

But there would always be opportunities to reconnect with those guys he had saved before.

At this moment, the others were still trembling in silence, wondering what kind of gigantic monster this was.

Wen Xishu had just exited the chat channel.

It was also at this moment that a sharp ”squeak” reverberated through their eardrums again.

The dark world suddenly had light, not just light, but a massive storm; light surged in like a storm, and the storm expanded like light.

The enormous super bat, whose wings could cover the sky, finally flew into the distance at this time.

Yue Yun and Nissen finally understood what kind of monster this was.

Xiaojin also realized it was finally time to speak: ”Wow, it’s so huge! So huge!”

Xun Hui looked at Wen Xishu:

”You’re pretty calm.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Should we find a place to start a campfire first?”

Xun Hui said:

”While there are no monsters around, you should check out the surroundings.”

Yue Yun, Nissen, Wen Xishu, and Xiaojin all started observing their surroundings.

Wen Xishu felt that the environment around them matched his stereotype of a post-apocalyptic city.

The scent of death, like a thick fog, permeated the air. The skyscrapers still towered above, but their tops were shrouded in dark mist, and the façades were dilapidated. If one’s eyesight was good enough, they could see many strange, bloody handprints constantly appearing and disappearing on broken windows.

No one knew what kind of demons were hidden inside, corresponding to which floor of Deceit Tower.

Metal rods twisted towards the dim sky, resembling cursed, rotting arms. Vehicles piled up on the streets, forming an exaggerated wall. From afar, these vehicles were nothing but blackened frames, like indifferent faces.

In the distance, a few slow-moving figures could be seen, seemingly crawling with creepy, black threads.

They roamed aimlessly on the streets; just their appearance made them seem formidable opponents. They were most likely elite-grade monsters.

At that moment, Wen Xishu and the others were hiding in the shadow of a ruin, where a super massive bat had just stayed for a short while.

Wen Xishu looked around; apart from the skyscraper, several buildings seemed to be shrouded in black mist...

There were no safe spots. A characteristic of campfires was that they couldn’t be started in the open.

Almost every building hid something bizarre.

”Senior Xun, I’m afraid we won’t be lucky enough to directly find a place to start a campfire,” Wen Xishu said.

Xiaojin said:

”Wow, I agree with Brother Wen. Shouldn’t we clear a zone first?”

Xun Hui nodded; he knew that after the twenty-fifth floor, he had never started directly in a place where a campfire could be set without fighting.

Campfires couldn’t be placed on city streets. It was indeed strange; people discovered that campfires seemed only placeable in fairly hidden locations.

”Then you all choose one.”

Yue Yun said:

”That skyscraper not far away, with dark mist at its top, does it mean there’s a particularly powerful monster inside?”

Xun Hui frankly said:

”One that could cost me half my life. I can probably win, but if you go, you’ll need to stay here. I can’t guarantee your safety inside that building.”

This response shocked Wen Xishu because from the thickness of the dark mist... there were at least seven or eight such places within sight.

The monsters inside could cost Xun Hui half his life.

Yue Yun and Nissen behaved honestly. Yue Yun suddenly felt that the greatsword in his hand was like a toy.

Xiaojin widened his eyes too:

”This dangerous! Should we attempt a long trek to leave this area?”

Wen Xishu vetoed this suggestion:

”I don’t recommend it...”

Wen Xishu had thought about it, but after the bat flew away, he immediately checked his pseudo-Fate Compass.

He internally asked if there was a safe place. The compass spun a few times, and the needle returned to its starting point.

This meant that if they trekked to leave this area, they could find relatively easier zones but would inevitably pass through more dangerous ones.

”We’re not sure if the areas we pass through are safe. For now, this place is temporarily safe.”

Wen Xishu looked at Xun Hui:

”Senior Xun, instead of testing us, where do you think is better?”

Xun Hui pointed to a huge billboard.

Le Fu Supermarket.

Due to the Three Towers having mutually intelligible languages, it was hard to determine where this place was from the text alone.

But the two characters ”Le Fu” made Wen Xishu feel it should be a city in Longxia.

”We’ll... we’ll listen to Senior.” Nissen was no longer cheerful.

Xun Hui said:

”You stay here. Remember, if you hear a strange voice calling your name... don’t look back.”

”If you see a doll moving, quickly turn away.”

After saying that, he disappeared.

Xun Hui couldn’t take these rookies to face the monsters in the supermarket. These dark mist-shrouded areas in Deceit Tower were places where luck was particularly needed to clear.

In Slaughter Tower, they were areas with extremely tough monsters.
