Three Towers Game

Chapter 280: Revised: Chapter 113 Preparations Before the 6th Tower Climb

Yue Yun knew that the old man Senior Xun was referring to was the principal.

Even though he desperately tried to maintain a poker face like Senior Xun, he couldn’t suppress his smile.

Nissen cheered:

”Are we going to see the principal?”

Xiaojin said:

”Wow, it’s Grandpa Napolitano!”

Xun Hui nodded:

”Let’s go, you all played a significant part.”

Xun Hui wasn’t just being polite; he wasn’t the type to be. He genuinely thought it was impressive that Yue Yun and the others hadn’t slowed them down.

Nevertheless, Yue Yun felt a bit embarrassed hearing this.

The group quickly left the forbidden area of Desire Tower Academy District. This garden is usually only accessible to Wenren Mirror, Jabbar, the old principal, and Xun Hui.

As they passed through the dormitories of Desire Tower Academy District, many students glanced their way.

Of course, they remembered that a few days ago, Xun Hui, the top-ranked of the Slaughter Tower Celestial Ladder, had led a few students through Desire Tower Academy District to the forbidden garden.

Now they appeared again, and everyone knew what that meant.

Among them was Wang Xia, who had been tricked by the capsized cabin not too long ago.

When Wang Xia saw Wenxun, Nissen, and Yue Yun, his eyes widened.

”Wenxun really has such a background?”

In the capsized cabin, Yue Yun had really messed with Wang Xia, and his advisor Zhang Tingyao later analyzed that Yue Yun was likely targeting Wang Xia.

Wang Xia had always been resentful and planning revenge.

But now, seeing these people with the fearsome Xun Hui, Wang Xia instantly paled and abandoned all thoughts of revenge.

After all, Xun Hui had recently done something major.

He had brutally killed the third bureau chief of Bunker Security Bureau, a white woman.

You must know that during holidays, Wang Xia’s father would send gifts to the eleven bureau chiefs of the Security Bureau and Civil Affairs Bureau.

Among these chiefs, the female ones were particularly difficult to deal with.

Once Wang Xia accompanied his father, and his father’s fawning demeanor left a deep impression on him.

In front of common people, his father was haughty, like a cloud in the sky, while they were mere dust on the ground.

Yet even his father, in the presence of certain people, was more lowly than dust.

This was the rule of the Bunker’s officialdom.

Wang Xia was afraid of those who made the rules and those protected by the rules. But he was most afraid of people like Xun Hui who defied the rules.

Originally, he thought he’d find a way to mess with Yue Yun and regain his lost dignity in the capsized cabin. But seeing Xun Hui, Wang Xia immediately turned pale and gave up all thoughts of revenge.

After all, Xun Hui was someone who could kill without consequence, even killing top officials below the Elder Council.

Not long after Xun Hui and Wen Xishu ascended the tower, the news of the third bureau chief’s death exploded in the official circles of the Bunker.

The investigation was straightforward.

When an official of such rank dies, a thorough investigation ensues, employing some methods from the level six and seven facilities.

So it was almost no surprise that Xun Hui was found responsible.

Soon, people from the third bureau of Bunker Security Bureau went to the Xun Family to question them.

The Xun Family’s response was straightforward, with one of the junior members, Xun Hui’s nephew, saying:

”Yes, since the evidence is conclusive, that woman was indeed killed by our Xun Family. Once confirmed, let’s disperse.”

”Why aren’t you leaving yet? If you want compensation, go make a list yourselves, but don’t block our doorway; it’s a bad image.”

This attitude infuriated the third bureau greatly.

Once, the Bunker Security Bureau was the strongest law enforcement department, with its members including students from Three Towers Academy and those with battle achievements in Slaughter Tower.

Simply put, only true warriors could enter the Security Bureau and maintain order.

But now, only the second and sixth bureaus continue to explore Slaughter Tower.

Even the second and sixth bureaus fall short in their exploration efforts compared to the Miyamoto Family and the Xun Family.

The Xun Family boasts the top-ranked Xun Hui from Slaughter Tower.

If the killing was done by anyone else, the third bureau could seek justice and fairness, but if it was done by Xun Hui...

Then it’s a different result. In a Bunker where everything is valued based, everyone accepts one outcome - if Xun Hui wanted to kill the third bureau chief, then the third bureau chief deserved to die, regardless of legality.

The Xun Family’s elevated status is partly due to their contributions and partly because they themselves are not ordinary, similar to the Miyamoto Family, with an elder from the Elder Council above them.

The head of the second bureau of Bunker Security Bureau, Liu Jinsen’s superior, has a keen sense.

He knew that such a major incident would surely alarm the Elder Council. The deceased wasn’t insignificant; the case could be clear as early as the next day, indicating the Elder Council’s keen interest.

Xun Hui wouldn’t go mad out of the blue. Who’s behind Xun Hui? It’s Albert, the old sage.

If Albert acted, was he interfering politically? It doesn’t seem like the old sage’s style.

Thus, he could only think of it as a test and a push, signaling to the Elder Council that the establishment of the Deceit Tower Assault Team is inevitable.

The Elder Council probably wouldn’t stop it.

The perceptive second bureau chief has now started to gather all kinds of dirt on the third bureau chief to justify Xun Hui’s killing, to package it as a righteous and reasonable act.
