Three Towers Game

Chapter 298: Chapter 116: The Cheating Blind Man and the Serious Gamer Wen Xishu

Although it was supposed to be a team game, it was completely different from what Wen Xishu had imagined.

This game was more like a huge battlefield where many people were thrown in, and everyone relied on their own abilities, given a certain amount of time to grind attributes and items.

Ultimately, one savior would be chosen out of the eight people.

Of course, the game had not yet shown any tendencies of bunker players fighting against each other.

”If... if from the beginning, all eight people had chosen non-pay-to-win professions instead of premium ones, then the game would be normal.”

”But now, it seems that the style of the game has become several different games. This city seems to be constantly changing, randomly generating tasks based on people’s inner desires.”

”But the real essence of the game... should be the non-pay-to-win options.”

Wen Xishu wasn’t sure.

There was one thing he found particularly creepy that the Blind had said. What was the reason... causing him to have no assets?

Why couldn’t he trigger the pay-to-win content?

These questions didn’t bother Wen Xishu for long. Since he couldn’t pay, he could only accept the status quo.

He began to focus on the Blind.

If there was anything that made him feel like the eight people in the game weren’t enemies...

It was probably this chat system.

The messages everyone sent could be seen by others. If the eight of them ended up fighting...

This chat system would most likely turn into a ”lie spreader.”

Wen Xishu was concerned about the Blind’s survival status.

Currently, it showed that the Blind was alive.

...

...

The Blind was indeed alive.

As another non-pay-to-win professional, the Blind’s thoughts were simple: I am here to seek death.

Why should I pay? Everything in the game is fake, and after death, everything returns to nothingness.

He started walking continually. Years of experience being blind made him walk without too much awkwardness.

He just walked slowly, without deliberately hiding his sounds.

He walked in the direction Wenxun indicated. At first, it was fine, but gradually, the Blind felt something was off.

The novice village... had all the zombies been slaughtered by Wenxun?

The Blind’s ears were still sharp. He soon heard the sound of crying. A woman was squatting in a corner, crying.

She was wearing a white dress, exuding an extremely dangerous aura.

The Blind’s first reaction was... Why was there crying? Was it a task?

Sorry, I’m not here for tasks, I just want to die. But maybe I could ask this crying woman, ask her how I could get out of this place without zombies.

So, the Blind walked towards the sixth most powerful super zombie in the game.

The zombie had long hair, with something terrifying wriggling under it.

Its scientific name was the Witch, a super mutant stronger than most zombies.

The Blind followed the sound of crying and came to the Witch’s side.

”Sorry to bother, could you take me out of here?”

The crying abruptly stopped.

The Blind sensed the quiet; he thought the other party must have heard him.

At this moment, the Blind smelled a foul and rotting stench.

”Why would the school throw decomposed meat here?”

The Blind didn’t say this, because he immediately realized... if a woman was crying, it naturally meant she was feeling sad.

Rotting carrion, sorrowful weeping.

He understood; this woman must be mourning a dead friend or someone with some connection to her.

This might be part of the task.

”I’m sorry, did your family die here? Do you need a revenge service? Just guide me out, and I’ll fight the zombies.”

The Blind just wanted to die in the Deceit Tower.

In the real world, he could even imagine that if he died in the Bunker, he would still be mocked. Those hateful people would celebrate his death while showing disgust, feeling that his death in the Bunker disgusted them.

The Blind also loathed those in the Bunker, so he chose to die in the Deceit Tower.

The Blind said:

”Can you take me out of the school? I know you might have a commission, but lead me out of the school first.”

What the Blind didn’t know was that, at this moment, the Witch’s rotting face was almost against his, scrutinizing him.

The Blind only felt the rotting smell getting closer, but needing help, he didn’t show a disgusted frown, instead sincerely saying:

”I just hope to leave here.”

Quiet, absolute quiet. For some reason, the Witch did not attack the Blind.

She just kept feeling and observing. If someone had seen this scene, they would definitely have thought the Blind was dead for sure.

But the Blind remained alive. The Witch seemed to have a problem and just wouldn’t attack.

The Blind, devoid of any will to live, suddenly felt uncomfortable.

”Do I have to complete that damn task after all! Can’t I even just die?”

”I don’t want to kill myself! Is it so hard to let a monster kill me!”

His emotions suddenly collapsed, years of grievances erupted at this moment:

”I just want to die! What’s wrong with that? Why can’t I die! Why do I have to passively accept the life you think I should have because you think I must live!”

”Have you ever treated me like a person? Have you ever truly respected me? I’ve never once craved your care, but all my upbringing tells me to be grateful! But why, why should I!”
