Three Towers Game

Chapter 269: Revised: Chapter 111 First Tower Kill and Wen Chaohua’s Time Theory_2

”But if the place is changed to Deep City, the evolution direction of the common group activity type will present another form. Consider this a new kind of monster.”

Wen Xishu roughly understood:

”What about the rare types?”

”The probability that rare types are determined as different individuals is even higher. Then come the elite types. Each elite type can be viewed as a ’first kill’. It is very rare to find identical elite types. Rare and elite types represent their unique evolutionary paths.”

”Just like the coffin bearers we saw earlier. Sixteen of them, although they look similar, each has different abilities.”

Xun Hui’s explanation was still very thorough. Wen Xishu also figured it out:

”So I should try my best to kill rare types and even elite types. The probability of getting a first kill is very high.”

Xun Hui said:

”That’s the idea, but the premise is that you can do it. Remember, if you ever kill a certain leader, don’t think you can definitely win against the elite types under that leader.”

”Due to the unique evolution chain, you never know if a lower-level monster might just have the ability to counter you.”

Wen Xishu deeply agreed. He understood the concept of mutual restraint.

Xun Hui continued:

”Of course, the probability of personal first kill drops will also increase. But that’s not the reason that attracts me. The reason I’m willing to take a chance is firstly, I believe you wouldn’t play with your life.”

”Secondly, I want to complete the first kill in the Three Towers. That’s even rarer and harder to accomplish than a personal first kill.”

Wen Xishu said:

”You mean, you have to encounter a monster that no one has ever killed before...right?”

Xun Hui nodded.

At this moment, the Ghost Bride stopped in front of an abandoned commercial building. It seemed she was about to conflict with the area’s guardian.

Xun Hui said:

”The probability of a personal first-kill drop is still very low, just an increased probability and high experience points. But the first kill in the Three Towers is different. The probability of drops increases significantly.”

Wen Xishu actually wanted to ask about the time mechanics involved. He looked serious:

”Senior, you mean you have to kill a monster that no one else has ever killed to count as a Three Towers first kill.”

Xun Hui nodded:

”Isn’t that obvious?”

Wen Xishu added:

”So, you mean the monsters in the Slaughter Tower World will refresh periodically? For example, if the Ghost Bride dies at your hands, others might encounter her again later?”

Xun Hui frowned:

”You didn’t know?”

Wen Xishu shook his head:

”I didn’t know. What I’m asking is, does the time in the Slaughter Tower World periodically reverse?”

But if the first-kill concept exists, then so does the concept of repeated kills. It means the monsters in the Slaughter Tower will resurrect...

So, does this mean the ”online game” of the Slaughter Tower will ”roll back”?

Wen Xishu was very curious. Could it be that exchanges with Tang Rui and the memories of Tang Rui and others would also roll back? He felt it shouldn’t be like that.

Xun Hui was somewhat surprised:

”You and Wen Chaohua do resemble each other. You both asked the same question.”

Wen Xishu smiled:

”He’s my real brother, so it’s normal to have some similarities. Senior, I’m really curious about this question.”

Xun Hui confirmed that now was not the time to fight, so he said:

”It’s a loop. The time mechanism node of the Slaughter Tower is constantly looping. The cycle is unclear, but unlocking this mystery was actually done by your brother Wen Chaohua.”

”Wen Chaohua wrote a theory on Three Towers’ time. But right after it was published, it was banned by the old principal. Only the Wen Family and the old principal, as well as Mirror and I, have seen it.”

Wen Xishu was a bit puzzled:

”Even if his character is bad, it’s not like useful books he wrote should be banned, right? After all, it broadens people’s understanding.”

Xun Hui said:

”Some things are hard to explain. Honestly, I don’t quite understand it either, but maybe when you grow up, you can investigate the truth yourself.”

”Fortunately, I’ve read the book. I won’t talk about the Deceit Tower and the Desire Tower, but I can explain the Slaughter Tower to you.”

”In the Slaughter Tower, time is always looping. The cycle is thirteen months.”

”During these thirteen months, no matter what you do, how many monsters you kill, everything you do will be erased once the next loop starts. The monsters you killed will respawn because the timeline has reverted to before you killed the monsters.”

”But Wen Chaohua mentioned that there is a way to advance the timeline.”

”If you climb the tower at a particular time node and change the fate trajectory of certain monsters, the timeline will advance.”

”The time node for the next loop will become the moment you successfully return to the Bunker after changing the monsters’ fate trajectory, and the cycle period remains the same.”

Xun Hui rarely showed an awkward expression. He scratched his head and said:

”Those were your brother’s original words. Do you understand?”

Xun Hui didn’t understand at first because he found some of the logic hard to grasp. He had to ask Wen Chaohua many times to understand.

Wen Xishu nodded:

”I understand.”

”Really understood?” Xun Hui was skeptical.

Wen Xishu smiled:

”Of course. It’s very easy to understand. The time loop cycle is thirteen months. For example, it’s from January 1, 2025, to February 1, 2026. If I change the fate trajectory of a leader-level monster on February 1, 2025, and leave the Slaughter Tower on February 2, 2025, returning to the Bunker, then the time loop range becomes February 2, 2025, to March 2, 2026.”
