Three Towers Game

Chapter 292: Chapter 115: A Living Game

Wen Xishu needed to show some class because he felt disrespected by this game.

First of all, he chose what most people chose, and secondly, he didn’t have any hidden options. Without the Tri-Force, he would have been a total waste.

Blind said frankly, ”You don’t need to give me hope, I don’t need that stuff, and you don’t need to worry about me.”

”Once the door opens, you just go on your own.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Do you have any assets in the Three Towers?”

Blind was somewhat puzzled:

”No, why are you asking?”

Wen Xishu first shook his head, but then realized the other person couldn’t see, so he said:

”Then you don’t even have the value to die. I have a suggestion; here’s the deal, take this axe.”

”There are two ways to die in this world. One way is to just throw your life away, but there’s no need to die in the Three Towers. If you’re going to throw your life away, why not do it somewhere else?”

”If you really want to die, I recommend the second way. Later, just swing that axe all the way. If you kill one, it’s not a loss. If you kill two, it’s a gain. Kill three, and I’ll call you the War God with Sunglasses.”

Blind still maintained a neutral expression:

”You want me to do this because it brings you some value?”

What has this person been through to be in such a state of not wanting to live at all?

Wen Xishu said:

”It’s just a suggestion. I don’t save those who can’t save themselves, so let’s part ways. If we meet again later, we can make further plans.”

Wen Xishu handed the axe to Blind.

Perhaps feeling a sense of respect—a kind of equality in respect, Blind accepted the axe.

To him, everyone in this world was irrelevant. Everything he heard was lofty sympathy.

But Wen Xishu’s approach at this moment made him feel an equal footing.

Because this person genuinely gave a blind man an axe, seeming to believe he could achieve some kind of miracle. He even thought they could meet again later.

This was something he had never experienced before. Previously, everything was decided by others.

People sympathized with him, cared for him, but never considered his own thoughts. Because everyone thought—what could a blind man understand?

Wen Xishu didn’t intend to save Blind; he left him to his fate. He really didn’t want to bring someone like that along.

Just consider the hassle. To save or not, saving might increase the difficulty of the game. Not saving... Wen Xishu was peculiar; some people he wanted to kill, but some he felt like helping just a bit.

So he decided not to bring him.

But before leaving, Wen Xishu asked:

”Can you share some details about hidden professions? I don’t have one.”

After hearing this, Blind became more accepting of Wen Xishu. He couldn’t afford any assets, but this person... had no hidden profession.

He’s even poorer than I am?

”How can you not have a hidden profession?”

”Because I am a hidden character,” Wen Xishu insisted stubbornly.

Blind didn’t expose him, seeming to understand this self-respecting act, and said:

”I actually refused to choose a hidden profession because I had no assets to pay for it. The initial charge of six asset points was something I couldn’t afford.”

Wen Xishu was stunned:

”What? Initial charge? This game actually has an initial charge?”

Blind nodded:

”It seems you’re really poor, so poor that the game determined you wouldn’t have any assets.”

”Hidden is a paid option. But I had no assets. Choosing a hidden profession would prompt you that this is the most lucrative investment. You can start ahead of everyone else.”

Asset points.

This concept was emphasized in the task description. It also said that if you couldn’t beat the game, you could become stronger by paying a price. Everything on you could be exchanged for assets.

Wen Xishu had a bad premonition; he seemed to understand what the obscure task description meant.

”Can you describe it in more detail?”

Blind thought carefully:

”I actually had assets at the time. If I chose Super Perceptive, I would need to pay the asset price by losing one more sense, like smell or taste, to get Super Perceptive.”

”But I refused because, for me, the powerful hearing of Super Perceptive couldn’t replace sight.”

Wen Xishu felt even stranger:

”Things on you can be traded as assets...”

Blind, who hadn’t played games before, said:

”Isn’t it very reasonable? You don’t have this option, which is rather strange. Don’t you have anything worth exchanging?”

”Is everything about you someone else’s? Does nothing belong to you?”

Wen Xishu shook his head:

”No, I think they just assigned me the hardest option. I have a suggestion for you...”

Blind said:

”You have given more than one suggestion to people on the brink of death. But go ahead, I’ll listen.”

Wen Xishu said:

”In my experience, any game with a six-yuan initial charge is trash. It has nothing to do with the game’s art, story, or settings, only the numerical design.”

”I have a hypothesis... if you want the game to be somewhat normal, I suggest you think carefully in the survival stages rather than relying on trades.”

”Here, you will truly feel the weight of dreams. Every action of yours will make value judgments for your dreams. This is what the task description says... Don’t you find it ironic that this sentence aligns with the asset-value charging trend?”
