Three Towers Game

Chapter 258: Revised: Chapter 109 The Godlike Wen Xishu_3

Yue Yun shook his head:

”Of course we have to drive them away.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Yes, we need to drive them away, but the monsters in Area A weren’t driven away by the original owner of the supermarket region, probably because... he couldn’t drive them away.”

”Secondly, this is an urban area. It actually doesn’t have the suitable conditions for such gigantic plants to survive. After it turned into a mysterious creature, it logically needs more nutrients. Where do these nutrients come from?”

Yue Yun answered:

”The shelves?”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”Yes, the shelves. It took over Area B, which provides it with plenty of energy. The guardian of the supermarket, who was originally dealt with by Senior Xun, is the first monster Senior Xun described, the one wearing the sales assistant outfit.”

”This monster fits the supermarket’s atmosphere better. Its combat strategy is to select aggressive objects from the shelves and throw them at its opponents.”

”According to Senior Xun’s description, the monster went berserk and wildly threw these objects before dying. Relying purely on throwing objects to kill the opponent is clearly unrealistic.”

”So, these objects likely have the ability to cause negative effects upon contact. In other words, they are magic attacks.”

”The objects in Area A are probably capable of polluting others, so the energy-absorbing vines can only absorb energy from the items in Area B.”

”There are many items on the shelves in Area B, and these items are the nutrients that allowed the plant to evolve into its current state, despite being in a place where plants shouldn’t exist.”

”The plant wants to continue expanding its territory, but it can’t absorb the items on the shelves in Area A. It once tried to absorb them, but all the vines withered and died, forcing it to painfully sever those vines.”

”Over time, it formed a mutual non-aggression agreement with the original guardian of the supermarket. Of course, if Senior Xun Hui didn’t appear here, the mysterious plant would become even more powerful over time.”

”Because it seems to be the rule of the supermarket that whenever the owner refreshes the items, all of the shelves get filled.”

”This means that the rule granting privileges to the guardian of this area is to strengthen itself through the constant refreshment of items.”

Wen Xishu bent down and picked up the vine covered in hooks, which were like mosquito proboscis.

”This mysterious plant is stronger than the guardian of the supermarket, but it fears absorbing items from the shelves. These items are its weakness. Therefore, it only absorbs items from Area B, not Area A.”

”Now that the original guardian is dead, it has become the new guardian. This is why, even though the sales assistant is dead, the items are still being refreshed.”

”Given time, this plant will continue absorbing nutrients from the items, becoming a more formidable monster, but now... it is about to die, thanks to Senior Xun Hui’s attack.”

”And we can also contribute.”

Wen Xishu didn’t retreat; instead, he picked up the items from the shelves.

These items were all packed in cylindrical or cubic boxes, and no one knows what would come out once opened.

But it surely wouldn’t be anything good.

Wen Xishu said:

”The plant absorbs nutrients passively. Its hooks will absorb nutrients as long as they scratch an item. That’s why it doesn’t dare to invade Area A; otherwise, we couldn’t escape.”

”It fears that its vines might accidentally absorb items from the shelves. So, we just need to throw these items at it.”

Xiao Jin, Yue Yun, and Wenxun exchanged glances, unable to believe how quickly Wen Xishu grasped this information.

”You... how did you come up with this? Bro, I thought you were thinking of retreating just like us!”

”We’ve come to the Slaughter Tower, so naturally, we’re thinking of killing the enemy.”

Wen Xishu was already ready to throw the items, but he soon put them down again.

Yue Yun asked:

”Did something go wrong?”

Wen Xishu frowned:

”Actually, the supermarket assistant probably thought of this way to deal with the plant, but its power was far inferior to Senior Xun Hui.”

”It didn’t dare to venture deeply into Area B... if it didn’t dare, nor do I. Unfortunately, I have to leave this task to Senior Xun Hui. What a shame.”

Yue Yun’s expression had become somewhat strange when looking at Wen Xishu:

”You... do you still intend to kill it?”

”Indeed, I do.” Wen Xishu had been thinking about throwing things frantically.

But then he thought, if this could kill the monster, why hasn’t the assistant done it?

Clearly, the assistant didn’t dare to venture too deep. If an elite monster wouldn’t dare, as a newcomer, naturally, he wouldn’t dare either.

Wen Xishu had no choice but to leave the killing opportunity to Xun Hui.

In the dim shopping area, Yue Yun and Xiao Jin noticed the regretful look on Wenxun’s face... He really intended to kill a monster at the fifty-plus layer guardian level.

”Senior Xun! Don’t be reckless, withdraw. We have a way to kill it here!” Wen Xishu shouted.

His voice pierced through layers of vines, reaching Xun Hui’s ears.

Xun Hui was hesitating about using his might to execute a major attack but immediately heard Wen Xishu’s voice.

He didn’t hesitate and began to retreat decisively.

The deeper he went, the slower his steps became, but the farther he moved from the inside to the outside, the easier it was to kill outwards.
