Three Towers Game

Chapter 288: After modification: Chapter 114: Savior Game_3

Wen Xishu noticed that seven people were actually walking towards him.

He could now confirm that this evil choice four, once selected, would match you with teammates even if you didn’t have any initially.

He felt a bit sympathetic towards these people.

He quickly thought of a coping strategy, which was to act like a victim.

”You... you’re also on the fifteenth floor? Were you here from the beginning? Did you mess with our levels and make them become the fifteenth floor?”

The person accusing Wen Xishu had a body of well-defined muscles, comparable to a fitness instructor.

Wen Xishu said:

”I’m from the sixteenth floor. I don’t know why I got demoted to the fifteenth floor just now.”

”How strange, is there anyone among you who was originally on the fifteenth floor?”

If an evil person doesn’t make the first move to accuse, it means they aren’t evil enough.

Wen Xishu’s gaze at this moment was very unfriendly.

Upon hearing that Wen Xishu was originally headed to the sixteenth floor, the muscular man immediately softened his stance.

”What’s going on... how did we end up on the fifteenth floor?”

The muscular man scratched his head.

Wen Xishu said:

”My previous task was to go to a ridiculously cheap house and play hide and seek with others.”

”Now it has suddenly turned into some kind of end-times savior mission... what about you guys? Are your tasks the same?”

Wen Xishu’s expression was naturally on point. In a way, he felt like he had tricked these people.

But then again, the moment you enter the Deceit Tower’s rest area, you’ve already made a decision to risk your life.

Having a moral burden during the exploration of the Deceit Tower is foolish in itself. Besides, he didn’t know the effects of the dice were so terrifying.

”My name is Wenxun, I’m a student from Three Towers Academy. What about you guys? What’s your situation?”

The muscular man said:

”My name is Zhang Hai, I’m a fitness instructor at a gym on the fourth floor. My task is also this end-times savior mission.”

”Wow, are you really from Three Towers Academy? How could a student from there end up in the Deceit Tower?”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”You guys don’t know, but the task force for the Deceit Tower is about to be established, and our school has new regulations. The credits for exploring the Deceit Tower are double those for the Slaughter Tower.”

Immediately, Zhang Hai’s expression became much friendlier. A student from Three Towers Academy, on the sixteenth floor of the Deceit Tower...

This student must be impressive, worth befriending.

The second teammate was an elderly person, around fifty years old:

”Ah, this is my first time in the Deceit Tower, and I ended up with such a task. My name is Tokugawa River, and I am a teacher.”

Zhang Hai laughed:

”From Three Towers Academy?”

Tokugawa River shook his head:

”No... I’m a teacher at a regular school on the second floor, teaching young kids.”

Tokugawa River was fifty years old. Hearing this name, Wen Xishu knew he was of the same lineage as Miyamoto Yishu.

He didn’t dislike him, but somehow this old man seemed very gloomy.

The third teammate of Wen Xishu said:

”Name? I’ve long forgotten mine. But everyone calls me Baby-faced Wolf. You can call me Ah Lang. I’m a very easy-going person, but if you touch my sore spot, I’ll show you what true darkness is. Don’t be fooled by my innocent looks, I’m actually very savvy. You won’t be able to outwit me. For the upcoming mission, just don’t mess with me.”

Ah Lang crossed his hands and placed them under his nose, sitting on the ground in a pensive posture.

This was a boy who looked about the same age as Wen Xishu, but sported a flamboyant haircut.

Great, an edgelord with delusions of grandeur. Probably from some mental hospital. Those places do produce a lot of talent.

However, Wen Xishu thought having some fun was a good thing. This lad was better than Child Ming.

The fourth teammate said:

”My name is Kate, I am a porter. It seems we all have the same task, let’s look out for each other.”

Kate was relatively thin but had long arms. His hands were also large, giving him a somewhat deformed appearance.

In this case, his big hands were quite fitting for porting work.

Wen Xishu couldn’t help but ask:

”Why did you all come to the Deceit Tower? Kate, you probably do well in your job, and Coach Zhang, your muscles must be the pride of your gym.”

”And Teacher Tokugawa, as a teacher, you shouldn’t need to be exploring the Deceit Tower.”

Wen Xishu truly felt that these people coming to explore the Deceit Tower was somewhat unreasonable.

Unlike Ah Miao and Zheng Zai, these people shouldn’t have been driven to the brink by life.

The one who answered this question was Zhang Hai:

”Isn’t it to respond to the Bunker policy? Besides, working at the gym isn’t easy, we coaches have a lot of performance pressure.”

”Now that the policy is favorable for exploring the Deceit Tower, I came.”

Kate nodded:

”Pretty much the same here. I don’t want to be a porter for the rest of my life.”

Wen Xishu asked:

”You guys know... that exploring the Deceit Tower is a life-or-death gamble, right?”

At this moment, Tokugawa River said somewhat dejectedly:

”Of course we know, but the money is good... Look at the people here, are there any rich kids? Cutting wages for non-tower jobs, increasing retirement age for non-tower jobs, enhancing rewards for tower jobs, do we have any choice?”

”Throughout history, the privileged always remain privileged. Apart from us regular folks and soldiers, who else supports these policies? These policies pressure people like us, don’t they?”

”I’m doing this for the sake of my child’s future, for a better job opportunity.”

This was very Bunker-like.

Wen Xishu didn’t want to comment much, but at this moment, the fifth teammate chimed in:
