Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 400: Chapter 398: House Viewing (156/186)

”If it were easy, I wouldn’t come to you.”

Gu Xi glanced at Hundred Generations of You Sheng and said quite straightforwardly.

Just as Gu Xi mentioned, if such places were easy to find, he wouldn’t come looking for an agent.

Hundred Generations of You Sheng understood Gu Xi’s thoughts. He quickly flipped through the materials in his hands, comparing and connecting the dots. Soon, he said to Gu Xi, ”Within 200 meters of the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin, there are three houses with yards available for short-term rent, and an empty lot you can check out.

As for a house priced at three million, there is one, but as you know, the usual price for such houses ranges between ten and fifteen million.

Cheaper ones tend to be those where many have died, making such places prone to the eerie.

Of course, it’s not that eerie is bad, but with too much eerie presence, those living inside are affected by various influences.

Plus, residents often don’t want to live in such houses.

So, if you’re set on around three million for a house, the inhabitants we can arrange might not be very satisfactory.

Either they’re older, or they have other issues.”

”You don’t actually need to arrange any residents.”

Gu Xi said offhandedly.

”What are you talking about, client? Not arranging for anyone to move in looks down on my professionalism.”

Gu Xi looked at Hundred Generations of You Sheng’s serious face, as if ready to argue, and was quite speechless.

How is this professionalism?

This world is really perplexing.

But he still said, ”Eerie stuff doesn’t matter, no matter how much there is, it’s no use, just arrange it as I said.”

Hundred Generations of You Sheng was also at a loss for words. Was he talking about eerie stuff?

He was referring to whether the residents were suitable or not.

Disdain our real estate expertise, huh? Just wait and see what kind of resident I’ll arrange for you.

While thinking this, Hundred Generations of You Sheng continued smiling and said, ”If there are no specific requirements on residents, then there are plenty of houses to choose from. There’s one relatively nearby for three million, and I can take you to see it now.”

Gu Xi took a look outside, nodded in agreement, and laid out his own requirements.

”Then you’ll need to introduce the area’s surroundings, like the transportation, sanitation, and safety situation.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, Hundred Generations of You Sheng laughed happily.

He thought this was how someone serious about buying a house would behave, not just caring about any location as long as it’s a house for three million, which would be impossible.

Now Gu Xi’s attitude seemed genuinely interested in buying and not just joking around.

As for the three million issue, perhaps Gu Xi didn’t have much cash on hand, and he could later ask if Gu Xi might want to apply for a loan, maybe twenty-year installments or something.

With these thoughts, Hundred Generations of You Sheng led Gu Xi out of the subway station.

They headed in a particular direction.

Hundred Generations of You Sheng introduced as they walked.

”There’s a single-family house nearby on sale, about a five-minute walk from the subway station.

The main issue with this house is it’s built by the roadside with windows set quite low, allowing passersby to peek inside with a little tiptoe.

Few residents are willing to take responsibility for such a house.

Therefore, the price never goes up; now it’s priced at 4.35 million, but if you like it, we can negotiate the price with the original owner.

From my estimation, around 3.4 million might seal the deal.

Additionally, we must consider tax and arrange a new resident for you, which could potentially add up to nearly 800,000 more.”

Listening to this, Gu Xi didn’t want to continue the tour.

Hundred Generations of You Sheng had promised well before, but now out into the field, it seemed like he wasn’t understanding a word he said.

This guy might not work out.

The house is a small issue for now, but if he calls an empty lot two hundred meters away from the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin’s park, then there’s a problem.

From the park entrance to the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin Statue is still quite a stretch.

Gu Xi didn’t want to encounter issues here.

As a result, Gu Xi decisively stopped walking.

”Client, what is this?”

Hundred Generations of You Sheng turned to look at Gu Xi, unsure why he stopped when everything seemed arranged well.

Gu Xi said with a serious face, ”I think I’ve made all my requirements very clear. If you can meet them, find a place according to my needs. As long as the requirements are met, no matter how worn down, no matter how eerie, I’ll buy it.

For houses that don’t meet my requirements, no amount of introduction will help.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, a hint of embarrassment appeared on Hundred Generations of You Sheng’s face.

He realized his intentions had been seen through by Gu Xi.

Now Gu Xi had set things quite seriously; if he messes around more, Gu Xi would definitely switch real estate agents.

That would truly be a slap in the face.

Hundred Generations of You Sheng could fail at selling a house, but he couldn’t lose face.

”I’ve understood the client’s requirements, then please, this way for the three-million house.”

Without another word, Hundred Generations of You Sheng immediately turned around and walked down a different alley.

He quickly began introducing the new house to Gu Xi.

”The house originally belonged to Quan She, but he didn’t have much luck, in his forties with a wife in her thirties and a son and daughter.

As it turned out, within a year, they all perished under the influence of the eerie.

Initially said Quan She offended someone in the nearby park, but investigations showed it wasn’t the case. Instead, Quan She unintentionally violated some eerie taboo, drawing the entity to his home.

Since the entire Quanshe Family was gone, the bank repossessed the unfinished mortgaged house.

The bank needs to make money too, so it ended up with us here.

But rest assured, this house truly only costs three million.”

As they spoke, Gu Xi and his companions arrived at the door of this single-family house.

Looking at the house, Gu Xi understood why it could be priced at just three million.

The house was squeezed between two normally sized single-family homes, with no windows or doors besides the main entrance.

All sunlight was blocked by the neighboring houses, making the house ahead unnervingly filled with yin qi.

If the ground were covered with a thick layer of quicklime, it’d be a top-notch Corpse Nurturing Land.

”Nice place.”

Hundred Generations of You Sheng widened his eyes, his face an expression of disbelief.

This spooky place is called nice? Is this guy out of his mind?

Gu Xi then asked, ”Where are all of their bodies buried?”
