Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 377: Chapter 375: The Final Target

When Zuo Ya started moving, he naturally caught the eyes of Gu Xi and the others.

The other Undead Mages understood that Zuo Ya was trying to snatch business away, so they sped up their selection and capture of the Order Mages.

Only Gu Xi kept his eyes fixed on Zuo Ya.

Gu Xi was well aware that Zuo Ya possessed a tool for locating enemies. Back when they were dealing with the Cold Wind City Demon Sorcerer, they used that tool to pin down and defeat the fleeing Demon Sorcerers in the final hours.

Now watching the number of Order Mages in Qiufeng City dwindle, Zuo Ya would surely use that tool or ability again.

At the same time, Zuo Ya would also realize that it was too late to snatch Qiufeng City’s Order Mages. With fewer than ten of them, even locking onto a target would be useless.

At their end, there were at least sixty players who needed achievements.

Now, there was only one person who could help them recover their achievements.

You Songsheng.

Only by killing You Songsheng could they save face.

So by keeping an eye on Zuo Ya, they could find You Songsheng.

Upon seeing Zuo Ya, Gu Xi immediately made this plan, and his attitude visibly relaxed as he kept a close watch on Zuo Ya.

This relaxed demeanor from Gu Xi shocked the other Undead Mages.

They thought Gu Xi had already found the remaining enemies.

If Gu Xi captured the last of the Order Mages, what would they do?

What about their achievements and benefits?

So the Undead Mages quickly redoubled their efforts, their actions in switching the Mirror Image Space monitors becoming noticeably more forceful.

Gu Xi shook his head as he watched them.

Then his gaze returned to the Mirror Image.

At this moment, Gu Xi suddenly noticed Zuo Ya leading seven or eight Undead disguised as ordinary people knocking on a door.

While he knocked on the door, the other Undead Mages quickly took their positions.

They could no longer afford to wait. If they didn’t act now, even the final scraps would be gone.

But what they hadn’t anticipated was that You Songsheng reacted even faster. When the door was knocked, he realized something was amiss, so he pushed open a window, intending to escape through it.

As long as he reached a crowded area, it wouldn’t matter if someone was chasing him.

The Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin was watching. No one dared to fight openly.

But what You Songsheng hadn’t expected was that as soon as he approached the window, Gu Xi captured him.

Gu Xi decisively activated the Mysterious Mirror Image Space ability, pulling You Songsheng into the Mysterious Mirror Image Space just as he tried to jump out.

Then Gu Xi thought for a moment and decided to drag Zuo Ya and the others over as well.

After placing them on an empty ground, Gu Xi turned and looked in that direction.

”Brother Zuo, we meet again. Can you help me see if that’s You Songsheng?”

Upon seeing the situation, Zuo Ya’s face turned somewhat grim.

”Is this your Death City?”

”Yes, I’ve been busy these days connecting the Mirror Image to the real world. Look, connecting it makes capturing much faster.”

Gu Xi smiled at Zuo Ya and then glanced at You Songsheng, ”That should be You Songsheng, right? Brother Zuo, you’re probably short one achievement. How about I let you have him?”

”You’re not going to act?”

Zuo Ya gave Gu Xi a glance, understanding that once again he was outmatched by Gu Xi.

”There’s no need.”

If Gu Xi didn’t have to act, he wouldn’t.

The Ritual Magic was underway, and Gu Xi was concerned that any issues with the Ritual Magic might affect Luna’s progress on her side.

If it weren’t for the fear that You Songsheng might escape due to his points ranking, Gu Xi might not have even bothered to catch him.

By giving this task to Zuo Ya, Zuo Ya not only owed Gu Xi a favor but also had to take the blame for him.

Sure enough, although Zuo Ya knew Gu Xi’s intentions, to ensure that his comrades benefited, he accepted the favor Gu Xi offered.

”Thank you. I will make sure to send a gesture of gratitude afterward.”

With that, Zuo Ya led his subordinates towards You Songsheng.

Since they were no longer in the real world, Zuo Ya naturally deployed his troops.

Several Undead subordinates, a few thousand Undead troops formed a phalanx rushing towards You Songsheng.

At this moment, You Songsheng realized he needed to fight desperately. He quickly deployed his troops as well; he hadn’t mobilized his original forces all this time to maintain his points ranking, and his forces weren’t many.

Aside from a few dozen Undead originally stationed there, he had over three hundred Ghosts flying behind him.

Meanwhile, there were also several Crossbow Carriages beside him.

This was how he managed to gather so many Ghosts with such limited forces.

All those Ghosts were his Skills, the Traits of the Soul Hunter.

Now whether he could survive depended on whether these Ghosts could overcome Zuo Ya’s troops.

But seeing Zuo Ya’s seven or eight players and over four thousand troops, Gu Xi didn’t believe they would lose.

Even if Zuo Ya lost, there were still over thirty players waiting around.

More than half of their attention was focused here.

They were just waiting for Zuo Ya to fail, to see if they could swoop in and pick up a bargain.

After all, there were few Order Mages left this time, and some wouldn’t end up with a new Order Mage. If they could claim credit for You Songsheng, their efforts wouldn’t be in vain.

At this moment, You Songsheng wasn’t scared or nervous as Gu Xi expected.

You Songsheng seemed to have made a decision, waving his hand to command all his Ghosts to charge forward.

He himself stayed at the back of the formation.

This situation was actually very typical, this was a standard strategy for Undead Mages.

Very few Undead Mages would charge forward wielding weapons.

But Gu Xi sensed something was off.

If he were facing such a situation, without complete assurance, he wouldn’t be this calm.

Could it be that this guy planned to escape?

Gu Xi thought for a moment and stepped aside, beginning to manipulate the Mirror in front of him.

Before long, the scene on the Mirror switched to Luna organizing things in the Assembly Hall.

Noticing Gu Xi’s gaze, Luna looked up, ”Sir, what happened?”

”Someone’s planning to escape; he likely has the ability to break through space to flee.”

Having said this was enough, Luna decisively replied.

”I’ll be right there.”

With that, Luna moved forward with a push, emerging from the Mirror.

Because Luna was just a tiny Ghost, even holding a red Round Mirror, nobody paid her any mind.

After entering, Luna lifted the red Round Mirror in her hand, pointing it towards the newly emerged Mirror.

With no one noticing, the surroundings turned a faint red.

”It’s done, for the next hour, no one can leave here, including me!”
