Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 361: Chapter 359: Deploying Troops, Entering the Well

Under Gu Xi’s command, the Undead Corps were swiftly summoned.

This time, Gu Xi planned to bring the entire Black Spear Camp, half of the Withered, all the Vampire Knights, all the Corpse Poison Flies, and all the Stone Golems.

At the same time, the Undead Soldiers under his command were assigned to the respective Undead Bosses according to their situation.

Apart from the original Combat Squads that followed the Undead, Gu Xi also brought along twenty Skeleton Bosses and over eleven hundred various Skeleton Soldiers.

Twenty Zombie Bosses and nearly a thousand various Zombies.

Four Skeleton Mage Bosses and two hundred thirty Skeleton Mages, accounting for half of the Skeleton Mage count.

Seven Skeleton Shooter Bosses and over three hundred sixty Skeleton Shooters.

Six Ghost Bosses and about three hundred Ghosts.

In addition, all the members of the Ghost Squad now donned the White Impermanence skins brought by Gu Xi, making the sky full of the auspicious white hats, quite a jubilant sight.

Plus, with the four hundred-plus Zombie Axe and Shield Soldiers left by Gu Xi, this constituted the entire force of Gu Xi’s expedition.

These troops, by all calculations, amounted to nearly four thousand in strength.

For Gu Xi, this was more than enough.

After all, according to intelligence, the Well Dragon King had a force of just over four thousand, and Gu Xi had the Death Incarnation at his disposal and could summon reinforcements at any time. He wasn’t worried about not being able to defeat the enemy.

The remaining forces were also substantial, not mentioning the four Heroes and their subordinates, but with half of the Withered and all the Red Dragons, this force was certainly formidable.

Moreover, other remaining Bosses, though their forces were not fully replenished, still had significant numbers.

Add it all up, and the total military strength was around four thousand five hundred, all comprising high-level formations above level four.

This was certainly enough to handle the Mirror Lake.

They could even leave a few Bosses and over two hundred Undead units to guard this temporary camp.

After arranging the troops, Gu Xi quickly led his men to strike.

Using the map from Luna, Gu Xi quickly found the entrance to the Well Dragon Palace near the temporary camp.

It was indeed a well.

A square-shaped well directly appearing in the wilderness, with no surrounding structures.

Unlike other wells in typical Japanese plots, it has not turned into a dry well full of silt. Looking down from the well mouth, one could see clear water like a mirror surface.

As Gu Xi gazed into it, he felt a powerful force dragging him down.

Fortunately, Gu Xi reacted quickly, raising the Cold Wind Staff and spinning it around.

”Death Ripple!”

As the Death Ripple emitted outward, it oscillated around the well walls, breaking the downward dragging force affecting Gu Xi.

Soon that dragging force vanished, and Gu Xi found himself fallen into the well, floating on the water surface at the bottom.

Gu Xi smiled, decisively saying, ”The entire army enters.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a phantom of the city gate flashed behind him, and the Steel City Gate appeared, pushing against the well walls, forcibly bursting them open.

As the well was forced apart, Gu Xi felt a blur before him, having entered the Well Dragon Palace within the game from Yalidov.

As for how Gu Xi knew, he only had to see the solidifying city gate behind him.

Nevertheless, Gu Xi still looked up at the sky, then towards the distance.

At this moment, Gu Xi found those strange bosses had truly played intricately.

Originally, Gu Xi thought having a Mysterious Mirror Image Space was already quite impressive.

But here, it was clearly an underwater space, with sunlight penetrating the water surface, explicitly telling Gu Xi it was daytime, and he was located within the game world.

Everything being blocked by water meant the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin could not see the battle here.

This mystery, compared to those hiding in human shadows attacking mortals during the day, was much more formidable.

However, their efforts now became their own tomb.

If they hadn’t prepared such an underwater space, Gu Xi couldn’t have advanced his army.

Now it was different. Gu Xi pointed forward, ”Deploy troops!”

Under Gu Xi’s order, the nearly four-thousand-strong forces formed one phalanx after another, moving forward.

The newly summoned Stone Golems acted as scouts, flying around.

Gu Xi, along with the Magic Corps and Archer Team, moved at the rear of the formation, searching for their target.

Gu Xi didn’t believe that after reaching here, the Well Dragon King would show no reaction.

Sure enough, shortly afterward, a force emerged from the other end of the space.

This force was peculiar, composed entirely of strong soldiers bearing shark-like heads, wielding iron rods.

They were clearly not the anomalies that should appear in daylight but demons that should emerge at night.

Upon appearing, they charged directly at Gu Xi’s forces.

Though this shark-headed team was large and held cumbersome weapons, they weren’t strength type units.

When charging, their movements were as slippery as fish swimming in water.

”Skeleton Shooters, prepare to fire!

Black Spear Camp forward, other forces assist!”

While issuing commands, Gu Xi stood atop the Evil Coffin, focusing on the enemy.

Under Gu Xi’s orders, over three hundred Skeleton Shooters released their arrows simultaneously.

These Skeleton Shooters were led by their respective Skeleton Shooter Bosses.

Though each Skeleton Shooter Boss had a different style, their current target was singular, to kill the approaching shark-heads.

As the rain of arrows fell, Gu Xi’s eyes shone, ”Target spotted, there’s a black-skinned shark-head, attack that one.”

Taking the opportunity, Gu Xi quickly identified the enemy’s BOSS.

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s order, all the Skeleton Mages simultaneously cast their spells towards the black-skinned shark-head.

However, the next moment, Gu Xi realized he had underestimated these foes.

The shark-heads’ skins provided superb defense, most of the arrows merely stuck in their skin, causing little harm.

On the contrary, leveraging their injuries, the shark-heads raised their iron rods and charged at Gu Xi’s forces.

At the foremost of Gu Xi’s formation was the slow-moving Zombie Corps, including Gu Xi’s Zombie Axe and Shield Soldiers. Seeing this, they raised their shields to counter.

With a loud boom.

The two forces collided, engaging in a frenzied battle.
