————————

As Gu Xi stood next to the fire pit, he heard a sizzling sound coming from inside.

The sound was like someone sharpening weapons with a stone.

It seems this time the refresh in the fire pit is humans.

But when Gu Xi glanced inside, his brow couldn’t help but furrow.

[This week’s output of Minotaurs*10 requires 200 units of resources for recruitment!]

[Minotaur (Level 3 Summoned Corps): Experience (0/350), Attack 5, Defense 2, Life 31, Skills: Fierce (Morale at least +1), Double Attack (actively attacks the enemy twice), Blood of the Earth (recovers 3 life points per minute when standing on the ground)]

Looking at the troop in front of him, Gu Xi couldn’t help but rub his forehead.

Maybe last time directly refreshing a Red Dragon used up all his luck, this time he encountered the weakest Minotaurs known as Blood Bulls.

Minotaurs are very common troops, and they are also a basic condition for the transformation of certain Eastern Ghost Soldiers.

So, at the Nether Bone Wind Academy, there is a special course on Minotaurs.

Minotaurs range from Level 3 to Level 6; the most common are naturally Minotaurs mixed with Shadow Dragons, starting at Level 6, mastering First Strike (counterattacks before enemy attacks), Fierce Slash (immune to counterattacks, small creatures will be repelled), Fighting Spirit (each normal attack increases morale by 6 points, max 30 points).

Such Minotaurs are called Fierce Bulls.

Then there are Minotaur Kings mixed with Black Dragons, starting at Level 5, mastering Infinite Counterattack, an unstoppable force in chaos.

Next are Level 4 Beef Cattle, also Minotaurs, where at least these Level 4 Minotaurs are all muscle, with high Power and the ability for short-distance Charge.

Only the Blood Bulls in front are the weakest, the only strength being a slightly higher Life Force and the ability to replenish blood on the spot, acting as the best material for a meat shield.

Gu Xi never expected to refresh such Minotaurs; even refreshing a batch of Beef Cattle would have been better.

But since they’re already refreshed, Gu Xi naturally wouldn’t let these Blood Bulls go to waste, no, Minotaurs, and wouldn’t waste this good opportunity.

He immediately recruited these Minotaurs on the spot.

Looking at the Minotaurs before him, with bull heads and hand axes, without even a piece of clothing, Gu Xi remained silent.

These Minotaurs, although not impressive in appearance, have one good point: their morale can always maintain at 1 point.

In other words, although they dislike the Undead Corps, they are considered rare in mixed formations with the Undead Corps without lowering morale.

Looking at these Minotaurs, Gu Xi pointed a finger at them.

”You came at the right time to help me transport the catapult and stone bullets.”

The Minotaurs were quite obedient, aware they had no combat power and were only using their muscular bodies to intimidate others.

So whatever Gu Xi asked them to do, they did.

When Gu Xi asked them to transport the catapult, two Minotaurs lifted the catapult and walked forward.

The remaining Minotaurs each carrying at least three stone bullets.

One has to say, this team of Minotaurs is quite strong; even with such heavy loads, their moving speed is not slow.

With this, Gu Xi didn’t have to worry about his War Machines being untransportable.

After incorporating the new Minotaurs into the corps, Gu Xi took a look at the newly-refreshed corps and decisively waved his hand.

As Gu Xi gestured, an owl landed into Gu Xi’s hand.

Gu Xi casually wrote a note and stuffed it into the owl’s talon.

”Go find Luna!”

Gu Xi intended to tell Luna that he had already handled several major eerie events; now whether she needed him to further deal with other large eerie corpses.

He also informed Luna that he had already trained this week’s troops, along with the over twelve hundred Undead Soldiers he brought back, which are now transformed and ready for duty.

They can participate in battles at any time, and if Luna needs, she can arrange for the corps to go.

After sending the owl out, Gu Xi returned to the Library.

He didn’t want any unforeseen circumstances; during the wait, reading and restoring Mana was most fitting.

Only by reading here can he immediately put down the book to handle matters if something occurs.

As for resting back at the Wudou Family?

This thought no longer appealed to Gu Xi.

Last night when he returned, there was such a commotion.

Gu Xi feared going back would only invite more trouble.

So he might as well stay in Yalidu City to read and cement his foundation.

Therefore, in the Library, Gu Xi picked up a magazine and seriously began reading at the desk.

Sometimes, his hands would rest on the table to show his innocence.

About half an hour later, an owl appeared outside the Library’s window, continuously tapping on the glass to capture Gu Xi’s attention.

Gu Xi immediately stood up, pulled the owl into the Library, and took Luna’s reply from its talon.

’My lord, there are issues at the last three nodes, requesting support!’

Seeing this message, Gu Xi stood up straight away.

He released his grip, and the owl flew away.

As Gu Xi walked out, he began calling out orders.

His Undead Corps was already gathered, and the Evil Coffin awaited outside the Library.

As soon as Gu Xi left the Library, the Evil Coffin moved before him, and Gu Xi flipped himself onto it.

Then the Undead Corps began moving forward, following Gu Xi in a charge out of Yalidu City.

After leaving the city, the owl led the way, it seemed Luna had discovered the owl’s pathfinding abilities.

But at this moment, Gu Xi was still concerned about the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s ravens.

Before starting the White Training Grand Ceremony, Chaoyang Radiance Guild gave Gu Xi five raven eggs, telling him they were slow to hatch in places filled with Death Qi.

Yet so many days have passed, and no raven eggs have hatched. If not for Gu Xi’s Owl House, he wouldn’t know how to contact other players.

Now Luna discovered the owl’s pathway feature.

It seems the Owl House is about to get an upgrade.

With this thought, Gu Xi glanced back at Yalidu City, showing a hint of a smile. As Yalidu City flourishes, Gu Xi’s Death City Skill Level will steadily rise.

Expect it won’t be long before Death City levels up to Level 5.

Just as Gu Xi was contemplating good things, he suddenly noticed the distant sky was dyed blue.
