————————

This meal Gu Xi ate was tasteless.

While eating, he kept thinking about how to deal with the Life-taking Stone.

He just didn’t believe that there was no way to take down the Life-taking Stone.

Halfway through the meal, Gu Xi suddenly put down his bowl and chopsticks, and said to Wudou Minami, who was pouring wine for him, ”Mei Nai, I’ll go out for a bit, I’ll be right back.”

With that, Gu Xi stood up in front of Wudou Minami and disappeared right before her eyes.

Returning to Yalidu City, Gu Xi headed straight for the Blacksmith Shop.

He had an idea in mind, but he didn’t know if his subordinates could make it happen.

When he reached the Blacksmith Shop, Anderson was still there crafting some weapons of varying usefulness.

These weapons might not be needed now, but they were essential items.

The Blacksmith Shop was outfitting the entire city, and the first round wasn’t even completed yet.

And the outfitting relied on these seemingly useless weaponry.

The first round was like transforming all the city’s weapons from gray to white. This way, even a farmer trained in Yalidu City would wield a white pitchfork.

Seeing Gu Xi enter, a busy Anderson couldn’t help but look up at him.

”What’s up? Do you need something, sir?”

”Anderson, I have a request. Last time, you used the Soul Stone’s hydraulic press...”

”That’s a High-Pressure Air Hammer,” Anderson rolled his eyes.

”Alright, a High-Pressure Air Hammer then. I wanted to ask if it’s possible to create a crossbow carriage that can launch this High-Pressure Air Hammer, precisely striking a soul stone to shatter it.”

Gu Xi shared his idea.

Anderson glanced at Gu Xi and finally asked, ”Which position are you talking about? Is it firing from below upwards or from above downwards?”

Gu Xi immediately sensed an opportunity.

If it wasn’t feasible, Anderson wouldn’t have asked so specifically.

”Here’s the thing. My position shouldn’t be too close. There’s nothing taller around, about sixty meters high from the ground.”

While explaining, Gu Xi drew a diagram. It wasn’t too detailed, but the general idea was understandable.

Looking at the diagram Gu Xi drew on the ground, Anderson furrowed his brows.

”For this, you can’t. If you want to destroy something on the ground, I can temporarily make an assault vehicle, add the High-Pressure Air Hammer to the front, ensuring the first strike achieves your desired effect.

The target you’re aiming for is too high. Unless you use a catapult to hurl the object upwards, it’s almost impossible. With a catapult, the explosive force of the stone bullet disperses in all directions.

To shatter a soul stone, you’d need more power.

Increasing the explosive power will shatter most items, leaving very little intact.”

Listening to Anderson, Gu Xi didn’t hesitate at all.

”That’s fine, even if it just explodes.”

”Well, in that case, making a small area, high-power explosive stone bullet is feasible, but there’s another issue: Can you accurately hit your desired target position with the stone bullet?”

This question left Gu Xi a bit troubled.

He understood there would be many more issues ahead, like how he would escape after launching the catapult, how to retrieve the items once the Life-taking Stone was shattered, etc.

All these needed Gu Xi’s consideration.

But if Anderson could make such a stone bullet, it meant feasibility.

The remaining challenges were his to overcome one by one.

”If you can’t be precise, then widen the range, increase the power fourfold, no, fivefold.”

”Fivefold increase? Doing so might destroy all the gems.”

Gu Xi didn’t care about that; the gems didn’t matter to him. His target was the potential Orange Armor.

As long as the Orange Armor wouldn’t be destroyed, it was fine.

”No problem, I’m just doing this for revenge; I don’t care about the gems.”

Gu Xi didn’t want to discuss the Orange Armor with Anderson.

Since he hadn’t acquired it and its appearance wasn’t guaranteed, there was no point mentioning it. Only possession legitimized his claim.

Hearing Gu Xi, Anderson understood.

”Alright, I’ll help with this. You’ll get an explosive stone bullet with fivefold power in two days, but I’m only making one — it’s too dangerous.”

”That’s fine, just make this one first.”

With Anderson’s agreement, Gu Xi felt half relieved.

With a method to destroy the Life-taking Stone, Gu Xi’s thoughts began to move freely.

The core of the plan was set; now, it was about arranging details around this core.

Gu Xi striking in person was impossible.

Xia Yi’s situation was clear. Xia Yi merely released the Flying Dragon, actively attacking the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin, but was dealt with.

Gu Xi couldn’t ensure that using a catapult wouldn’t have the same result.

Thus, others had to act; Gu Xi absolutely couldn’t get involved.

Concerning the position of the attack, Gu Xi certainly couldn’t place the catapult directly out in the open, signaling the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin of an impending attack.

The Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin wasn’t foolish. If it found something threatening, it would definitely destroy it immediately.

Lastly, after shattering the Life-taking Stone, how to collect the dropped items.

Gu Xi didn’t want to end up blowing the items out, only for them to be collected by someone else.

That would truly embarrass Gu Xi — his actions fueled by the desire for Orange Armor.

Getting nothing, achieving revenge for Xia Yi, and potentially losing out more, wasn’t Gu Xi’s intention.

Thus, he needed to discuss with Luna, to explore if there was a way to collect everything when the items fell.

These were all considerations for Gu Xi.

When lacking complete assurance, Gu Xi would not proceed.

While contemplating various scenarios in Yalidu City, Luna, knowing of Gu Xi’s arrival, hurried over from the Mysterious Mirror Image Space.

”Master.”

”Luna, you came just in time. I have something to discuss with you.”

Seeing Luna arrive, Gu Xi immediately started discussing the two matters he came for.

One was dealing with the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin and looting items afterward; the other was about leaving buildings in the city to ensure future re-entry into this world.

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s two matters, Luna thought for a moment and said.
