Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 388: Chapter 386: A Slowly Forming Plan

”Leaving a passage is simple; this time we don’t even need the Furnace Stone. We can go directly from the Mysterious Mirror Image Space. As long as the house is arranged properly, with multiple mirrors set up, we can come and go as we please.

However, dealing with the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin, I feel is a bit tricky.

After all, you just said that you want to blow up the Life-taking Stone you’re holding, but we can’t control the size and direction of the explosion. If the thing gets blown away, no one knows where it might fly.”

The main issue with Gu Xi wasn’t resolved yet, and here came another problem.

But Gu Xi seemed relatively smart, and when Luna mentioned the difficulty, a crazy idea popped into his mind.

”Luna, I’ve thought it through, I can do a divination before we take action. We may not know the exact endpoint, but we can determine the range.

Do you have something that can quickly find the weapon and return to the Mysterious Mirror Image Space in a flash?

You see, this time we might offend the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin. I’m not sure if this Great Guanyin can directly find the Mysterious Mirror Image Space, but with such matters, it’s best to be cautious.

Once we get the thing, cut off all contact with the Mysterious Mirror Image Space immediately, and don’t linger for a second.”

Luna pondered for a moment in response to Gu Xi’s question.

”I’m not fully certain about this, but there is a good candidate. I told you before, among the last few Great Mysteries, there is one who can keep flashing within mirrors.

As long as there is a reflective surface, he can flash into it.

We put in a lot of effort to deal with him, even sent in all the Skeleton Mirror Guards, just to trap him.

If he can revive now, and return to his original node, he should be able to handle this task.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi instantly understood who Luna was referring to.

”I remember after the Well Dragon King died, I hadn’t dealt with the last few Great Mysteries; they will definitely revive within three days, but after their rebirth, can you control him?

Should I arrange something in advance?”

”With the Mysterious Mirror Image Space in my hands, everything is under control.”

Luna had enough confidence in the Great Mysteries that hadn’t been reborn yet.

”That’ll do. It’s settled then. Once he revives, ask what kind of conditions are needed to shroud the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin Statue completely.

My idea is, since he can move in all reflective places,

ask him if it’s possible to move among raindrops. If it is, I’ll make it rain heavily that day.”

Luna was surprised by Gu Xi’s words; she hadn’t expected him to suggest such a thing.

She knew Gu Xi had no ability to make it rain.

”Sir, making it rain isn’t something you can just talk about.”

”Don’t worry, I have confidence in this, and I will think of a way to experiment once or twice.”

If initially, Gu Xi was just speaking his mind, after those words were spoken, the feasibility of rainmaking flashed in his mind.

In Gu Xi’s eyes, what is rain but droplets of water falling from the sky?

Just a larger volume of water falling.

Others might not manage it, but Gu Xi had the Death Incarnation, and the Death Incarnation had just acquired the Ice and Snow Set, so this was likely to succeed.

Listen to Gu Xi saying so, and Luna stopped trying to dissuade him, instead, beginning to think seriously.

The Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin could control the heavens and earth, direct battles within cities, but indeed, couldn’t determine if it would rain.

If it did rain, that Great Mystery could indeed move back and forth among raindrops, obtaining the blown-out item at once.

”If it can truly rain, then it’s doable.”

Luna recalled her battle with that person, where he indeed moved rapidly among splashes of water, much faster than any normal human could imagine.

If in heavy rain, this Great Mystery’s movement range would be quite large.

”If that’s not a problem, make sure this time you keep a close eye on things; this concerns an Orange Armor.”

Luna was about to say she could handle it personally, but Gu Xi quickly interjected.

”You shouldn’t get personally involved; this time the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin might act; don’t get caught up in it, just ensure you watch over things.”

Gu Xi stopped Luna from acting rashly, as he started to consider the flaws in his plan.

He needed to patch up some loopholes.

For instance, the Mirror Buddha inside the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin Statue was targeted towards the Mirror Image Mysteries, and Gu Xi needed to bring it out, even destroy it if necessary.

He couldn’t allow the Celestial Dao White-robed Great Guanyin to grab the tail of the Mysterious Mirror Image Space through the Mirror Buddha at the last moment.

At that time, in Gu Xi’s mind, he kept replaying his plan, identifying various problems, and explaining these issues from different angles.

Gu Xi was well aware that this time he was gambling with his life. A single misstep could cost him his entire being.

Thus, his mind kept turning, estimating possible issues from various angles.

Luna also noticed Gu Xi’s unusual demeanor, she wanted to step forward and ask him something, but felt a strong pressure emanating from Gu Xi, pushing her back a few steps.

Luna was shocked. She stared, only to find Gu Xi’s hair rapidly turning white, his recently recovered muscles shrinking quickly, and his body looking as if starved for an unknown period.

It looked no different from the first time Luna met Gu Xi.

Luna realized Gu Xi couldn’t continue like this; his status had fallen into what seemed like a mad state.

If this continued, Gu Xi’s body wouldn’t hold up.

To ensure Gu Xi wouldn’t die before taking action, Luna braved the pressure to face Gu Xi, placing her hand on his back.

With a cool breath passing into Gu Xi’s body, he, who was calculating everything frantically, suddenly coughed up a mouthful of black blood.

He then grinned, turned his head, the blood still on his teeth, and smiled at Luna.

”I’m okay, if they want to push me, they’ll have to bear the price.”

Then Gu Xi closed his eyes and fell to the ground.

His face carried a smile as he fell.

When Luna interrupted his calculations, Gu Xi already understood everything. It wasn’t himself going crazy or betting his life without reason; it was someone provoking him with the Life-taking Stone.

Faced with provocation, Gu Xi laughed instead.

He was never afraid of these things; if they wanted to play big, then let’s see if they could push Gu Xi to his most insane state.
