Trait Impact:

Mechanization: The war machinery produced will be one level higher in quality.

Charging: Soldiers equipped with basic weapons made are more suitable for enchantment.]

[Note: As the first blacksmith, Anderson represents the minimum quality level of this city’s soldiers’ weapons, so ensure the Blacksmith Shop always has sufficient materials to guarantee continuous weapon upgrades for soldiers.]

Glancing at the progress of the Blacksmith Shop, Gu Xi walked to the side where a not-so-large wooden box was placed.

Gu Xi opened the box and saw a thick fabric that seemed to be woven with iron wires.

This is the city’s specialty war machinery, the Healing Tent.

[Healing Tent (Level 1): First Aid Tent can restore the life of allies in combat (cannot revive).]

[Note: The Healing Tent is affected by War Machinery, First Aid Skill, and other skills. Without First Aid Skill, it can restore up to 25 life points per minute and cannot choose healing targets, etc.]

Looking at the Healing Tent in front of him, Gu Xi’s eyes lit up.

This was exactly what he needed.

Gu Xi’s mastery in War Machinery could function similarly to First Aid Skill, enhancing the Healing Tent’s life restoration per minute, and eventually, he could even designate healing targets.

Once he learns the branch abilities of War Machinery, he could even master the branch skills of the First Aid Tent and Plague Tent, with one skill reviving troops on the battlefield and the other attacking enemies.

These could indeed become battlefield weapons.

If Gu Xi had brought the Healing Tent in last night’s battle, he wouldn’t have been helpless in the situation with that girl.

Moreover, he would face more of such situations in the future.

He must also consider a healing strategy for his other troop units.

After hanging the box containing the Healing Tent at the back of the Evil Coffin, Gu Xi moved on to a catapult.

The catapult before him was a medium-sized catapult, no more than five meters long, maneuverable by three people, but operation required at least a dozen people.

The most crucial part was that the catapult needed specially made stone projectiles, with four different kinds placed beside it.

[Catapult (Level 1): The catapult can attack the City Wall and Arrow Tower during sieges, with the order of attack being City Wall, City Gate, Arrow Tower.]

[Note: The catapult is affected by War Machinery, Ballistics, and other skills. Without Ballistics Skill, it can shoot once per minute, and cannot choose attack points, etc.]

Like the Healing Tent, mastering catapult usage is a capability needed in War Machinery.

Upon mastering it, he could learn Ballistics Skill and further learn Sulfur Smoke Rain, Magical Stone Bomb, and more skills.

Like the Healing Tent, they might not be frequently used on the battlefield, but whenever used, they could become a deadly weapon.

Gu Xi circled around the catapult, and Anderson laughed, ”Sir, don’t worry, nothing I make is bad.”

”I see, this catapult may be small, but it’s powerful.

Have you tested how far these stone projectiles can fly?”

”Three hundred fifty meters—a conservative estimate.”

Anderson said proudly.

Hearing this, Gu Xi understood its power, as his Death Ripple attack range centered on Gu Xi was fifty meters, and the furthest magic attack he could use, Magic Divine Arrow, had an effective range of about a hundred meters.

The Skeleton Shooter in his command had a range of about one hundred fifty meters.

Beyond this range, they could hardly hit anything.

Yet, the catapult before him could reach three hundred fifty meters, revealing Anderson’s skill.

”Moreover, the four types of stone projectiles have different uses. The one with cracks is the Re-cast Stone Bomb for attacking City Walls.

The polished one for hitting enemies inside the city is the Rolling Stone Bomb—don’t use the wrong ones.

The square-shaped one for smashing the City Gate is the Siege Stone Bomb.

Along with the regular Stone Bullet, these are the four stone projectiles available.

As for the Shotgun you mentioned, there isn’t one. The catapult targets the City Wall and City Gate.

The catapult doesn’t attack people.”

Gu Xi knew the rule that catapults don’t attack people, and any harm from them was mostly incidental.

For instance, when attacking the City Wall, some people might get hit accidentally, or when a stone was thrown, it might roll further along the City Wall—other actions weren’t permitted.

Thus, Gu Xi did not refute Anderson’s words much, but directly asked.

”Anderson, did you see the Soul Stone that I had someone send over earlier? Do you know how to handle it?”

”Yes, it’s simple. The item already has cracks; it only needs another strong impact. Others may need a Divine Artifact or a Treasure Hammer, but I don’t. We have the Mechanical Heavy Hammer.

Give me a day to make the Mechanical Heavy Hammer, and you can come over to smash the Golden Egg.”

Listening to this, Gu Xi couldn’t help but smile.

As Anderson said, smashing the Soul Stone was just like smashing a Golden Egg.

”Alright, I’ll come by tomorrow. Now, I need to go recruit soldiers in the city, so you stay busy.”

Gu Xi left the Blacksmith Shop with a smile and then jumped onto the Evil Coffin.

”Let’s start from the Evil Church. We have lots of places to visit this time.”

Just as Gu Xi spoke, the Evil Coffin headed toward the Evil Church.

Recruitment was usually Luna’s task.

This time, with Luna occupied in battle, Gu Xi took on a logistical role.

For the first time, Gu Xi felt the many responsibilities Luna handled daily.

Recruiting soldiers weekly required a tour around the city to complete the recruitment.

After recruiting all the soldiers, Gu Xi arrived at the Fire Pit by the Main City Gate.

Today’s Fire Pit had attracted a new batch of refugees.

Upon reaching there, Gu Xi received a message.

[This week’s Fire Pit attracted a group of refugees. Would you like to meet them?]
