Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 120: Chapter 120: Gu Yifan Exploded! A Love Worth 7 Gold Bricks?

’It’s been less than half a day since we parted ways, and that dog Wang Zibo is already in a relationship?’

Listening to Wang Zibo’s somewhat shy and unnatural voice on the other end of the line, Gu Yifan was completely dumbfounded.

”Um... Brother Fan, are you still there?”

When Gu Yifan suddenly went silent, Wang Zibo spoke again in a low voice.

”I’m listening!”

”Go on, which girl was blind enough to fall for you?”

Gu Yifan said.

”Hey, that’s not it!”

”Brother Fan, how can you say that!”

”What do you mean ’blind’? I’m pretty handsome, you know!”

On the other end of the line, Wang Zibo pouted, sounding unconvinced.

”Mhm, handsome alright. Cricket-handsome.”

Gu Yifan said calmly.

Wang Zibo: ”...”

”Alright, I’m done messing with you. My noodles are getting soggy!”

”Hey, wait, I’m not finished!”

Seeing that Gu Yifan was about to hang up, Wang Zibo quickly said.

”...”

”What other crap do you have to say? Spit it out!”

Gu Yifan, exasperated, snapped.

”Er... well, um... Brother Fan, she’s a little older than me. Do you think that’s okay?”

Wang Zibo stammered hesitantly.

”Hm?”

Upon hearing this, Gu Yifan’s brow furrowed!

’He had originally thought Wang Zibo was dating a girl from the class next door, or maybe one of their own classmates. He’d even considered the possibility of it being Han Ning’s best friend, Wu Xiaoyan!

After all, the two of them had been like a pair of bickering lovebirds back in school. Gu Yifan remembered that in his past life, Wang Zibo had even said he liked her!

That’s why he hadn’t pressed for details!

But he never would have imagined that this dog Wang Zibo had actually found an older woman!

Could it be that because of my rebirth’s butterfly effect, Wang Zibo’s life trajectory had also changed?

That seemed to be the only explanation. After all, in his previous life, Wang Zibo had only managed to get into a third-tier university. But in this life, with his and Su Qinghe’s help, getting into a second-tier university shouldn’t be a problem, barring any surprises.

So, perhaps from the moment he was reborn, it wasn’t just the gears of his own fate that had started to turn, but those of the people around him as well!’

Having figured this out, Gu Yifan felt a sense of relief.

He smiled faintly and said, ”Sure, why not, you horndog!”

”An older woman is good, an older woman is wonderful, an older woman will leave you with no worries. She’ll even treat you like a treasure! Most importantly, one pat on her ass and you know to lie down!”

”Tsk tsk tsk~”

”But seriously, you dog, when did you get a girlfriend? You kept this under wraps really well. Not a single peep got out!”

”Uh...”

On the other end of the line, Wang Zibo blushed at Gu Yifan’s teasing and stammered, ”Ahem~ We only made it official last night...”

Gu Yifan could already imagine the look on Wang Zibo’s face. He smiled and said casually, ”Not bad, you work fast! So, when are you bringing her out to meet us?”

”Huh?”

Wang Zibo was stunned for a moment. ”Meet up?”

”What else? Isn’t it normal to meet?”

”Well...”

Hearing Wang Zibo’s stammering, Gu Yifan frowned. ”Wait, don’t tell me you haven’t even met her yet?”

”Mhm...”

Wang Zibo hesitated for a moment before saying, ”We haven’t, actually. But! I’ve seen her picture, and we’ve video-chatted!”

Gu Yifan: ”...”

”An online relationship?”

he asked, exasperated.

”Mhm.”

Wang Zibo nodded.

Hearing this, Gu Yifan fell silent...

For a moment, he didn’t know what to say.

’Damn it!

People are still getting into online relationships these days?!

Is he trying to get his kidneys harvested or something?!’

”Ahem, Brother Fan, why’d you go quiet? Do you think this is a bit sketchy?”

Wang Zibo asked timidly from the other end of the line.

”Isn’t that obvious?!”

”More than ’a bit’! It’s extremely sketchy, okay!”

Gu Yifan snapped, ”Alright, spill. Where’s this ’older sister’ of yours from, how old is she, how many people are in her family, does she have a boyfriend?!”

Wang Zibo: ”...”

Hearing Gu Yifan ask if she had a boyfriend, his face darkened with exasperation. He was utterly speechless!

’What the hell?!

If she had a boyfriend, why would she be looking for someone like me?!’

If Gu Yifan knew what Wang Zibo was thinking right now, he definitely would have blurted out, ”Buddy, you’re just too naive! Having a boyfriend is nothing—hell, some of them even have husbands!”

”Wanru isn’t from around here, but she’s working here in Mountain City now.”

”As for her age...”

Wang Zibo began, but when he got to her age, he hesitated and said, ”Uh... she’s quite a bit older than us...”

Hearing this, Gu Yifan sensed something was off. He frowned and asked, ”How much is ’quite a bit older’?!”

”Well...”

Wang Zibo stammered, not knowing how to say it.

”Hm?”

From Wang Zibo’s attitude, Gu Yifan could confirm that there was definitely a problem!

”Stop hemming and hawing! How much older, exactly?!”

he snapped.

After a moment’s hesitation, Wang Zibo said in a small voice, ”Uh... 20 older!”

”Hm? How much older?”

Gu Yifan thought he had misheard and asked uncertainly.

On the other end of the line, Wang Zibo steeled himself, gritted his teeth, and said, ”20 years older!”

Gu Yifan: ”...”

”FUCK!”

”Are you fucking kidding me?”

”This is what you meant by ’a little bit’ older?!”

”Yeah, that’s right. Just a ’little’ bit older!”

”Goddammit! 20 years older, she’s old enough to be your fucking mom!”

Gu Yifan completely lost it, his face dark as he unloaded on Wang Zibo over the phone.

Wang Zibo: ”... -_-||”

He knew this would be the result, which was why he’d been so hesitant to tell Gu Yifan in the first place.

If the woman hadn’t asked to meet him today, he really wouldn’t have planned on telling Gu Yifan so soon.

”Fuck! Who the hell knows if she’s getting close to you to harvest your kidneys! Delete her, now! Are you insane?!”

Seeing Wang Zibo go quiet, Gu Yifan snapped again.

”Uh...”

”Brother Fan, calm down first.”

”Actually, Wanru is really nice to me. We’ve known each other for over a year, and she’s never asked me for money. She even frequently helps me top up my game account and buys me skins!”

Wang Zibo explained.

”Well, well! So she’s a rich old lady!”

”Not bad, eh? People say a woman three years older is like holding a brick of gold. You, my friend, are grabbing seven or eight bricks at once!”

He was bought over by such trivial benefits. Gu Yifan was both exasperated and angry. ”Fine, I can’t be bothered to deal with you anymore. Don’t come crying to me when something happens!”

Wang Zibo: ”... -_-||”
