Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 106: Chapter 106: Chance Encounter, a Class Get-together?

「An hour later.」

Wang Zibo once again turned into a manual laborer, hauling the computer and other bulky items Gu Yifan had bought upstairs. The rest was left in the car, since they’d have to take it with them eventually anyway!

Luckily, Gu Yifan’s parents weren’t home. Otherwise, he’d be facing another interrogation about where he got the money!

’I need to come up with a cover story soon to explain the car and money,’ Gu Yifan thought to himself.

The June weather in Mountain City was already hot as hell!

After a few trips up and down the stairs carrying things, that guy Wang Zibo was already drenched in sweat.

”HUFF... HUFF...”

He was panting heavily, fanning his face with his hand. He looked ridiculous, just like a stray dog in heat!

...

Seeing him like this, Gu Yifan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. ”Here, drink some water first. The AC will cool the place down in a bit!”

”GULP... GULP...”

Wang Zibo took the water, not even bothering to speak as he hastily opened it and chugged a few mouthfuls.

”BURP~”

He even let out a full-blown burp!

Gu Yifan shot him a disgusted look and snapped, ”You fucking prick, could you be any more disgusting?”

”Uh...”

Wang Zibo looked a little embarrassed. With a pained look on his chubby face, he said, ”Brother Fan, it’s not like I could control it! I was dying of thirst!”

Gu Yifan thought for a moment. Wang Zibo really had worked hard today. So he said, ”Alright, take a break. I’ll treat you to a big meal later!”

”Hm?”

The moment he heard ”big meal,” Wang Zibo’s eyes lit up!

”Brother Fan, I knew you were the best to me!”

”Brother Fan, our brotherhood is in my heart! I love you!”

he said with a fawning, sleazy expression.

Gu Yifan: ”...-_-||”

”Fuck off!”

”I don’t swing that way!” he glared at Wang Zibo and snapped.

”Uh...(⊙o⊙)...”

Wang Zibo froze for a second but quickly understood. He hurriedly said, ”Brother Fan, I don’t either!”

”Sister-in-law, Brother Fan is slandering me!”

As he spoke, he didn’t forget to appeal to Su Qinghe for help.

That ”sister-in-law” from Wang Zibo made Su Qinghe blush crimson. She couldn’t understand their conversation and looked at Gu Yifan with a baffled expression.

Gu Yifan shook his head helplessly, but still said, ”Don’t mind him, he’s just being crazy!”

”Oh, oh.”

Su Qinghe nodded and said nothing more.

...

「At half-past six in the evening, the sun had already halfway set.」

The temperature outside had dropped quite a bit.

It was about time for dinner.

Coincidentally, his parents had things to do and weren’t coming home for dinner tonight. He and Su Qinghe could just eat out. The only thing was, now they had a king-sized third wheel—Wang Zibo.

Gu Yifan glanced at the time and figured they should be heading out.

So, he turned to Su Qinghe and said, ”Su Hanhan, it’s about time. Let’s go!”

Then he turned his head to Wang Zibo, who was munching on snacks by the coffee table, and said, ”Hey, prick, let’s go!”

The difference in his attitude was like night and day.

”Brother Fan, you’re so gentle with sister-in-law. Can’t you be a little nicer to me?”

Wang Zibo pouted, a bitter look on his face.

”Oh!”

Gu Yifan glanced at him and said flatly, ”That’s a definite maybe.”

After saying that, he got up, took Su Qinghe’s hand, and the two of them walked toward the door.

Wang Zibo: ”...-_-||”

With a helpless look, he quickly got up and followed them.

While waiting for the elevator, something suddenly occurred to Wang Zibo. He asked Gu Yifan meekly, ”Brother Fan, you’re not going to make me take the bus again this time, are you?”

”Hm?”

Gu Yifan was taken aback for a moment, then turned to Wang Zibo and said, ”If you want to take the bus, I suppose that’s an option.”

”No, no, no, I don’t!”

He immediately grabbed Gu Yifan’s other arm tightly, as if afraid he’d run off the second he let go!

”Alright, let go of me! I’m not fucking running away!”

”We’re grown men! Stop being so clingy, it’s improper!”

Gu Yifan said, exasperated.

Hearing this, Wang Zibo gave him a suspicious look. Only after confirming he didn’t seem to be lying did he resentfully let go.

”Get to the side. Don’t touch me!”

Gu Yifan said with a look of disgust.

”Fine, I’ll move. Why’re you so fierce about it?”

Wang Zibo muttered under his breath, a little indignant.

But he still obediently walked to the other side of the elevator.

There was no other reason.

He was afraid of getting a beating!

...

「Evening, six o’clock sharp.」

Mountain City Restaurant.

”We’re here. Let’s get out,” Gu Yifan said after parking the car securely.

”Wow~”

”Mountain City Restaurant! Brother Fan, you really are treating me to a big meal!”

Wang Zibo said with a delighted surprise, looking at the restaurant’s sign.

The Mountain City Restaurant was a place every local knew by name. It was formerly a state-owned grand hotel, but after the economic reforms, the name was kept and has been used ever since.

It was considered a rather famous restaurant.

The prices here weren’t cheap, but the quality of the food was top-notch!

That’s why long-time residents of the Mountain City District loved to come here to eat when friends or family visited, or for special occasions. It was a place that offered both quality and prestige!

”Alright, stop barking like a dog and let’s go in!”

Gu Yifan shook his head helplessly at Wang Zibo’s country-bumpkin act.

”Let’s go!”

”Today, we feast like kings!”

Wang Zibo chuckled.

But after just two steps, he suddenly turned back and asked Gu Yifan meekly, ”Um, Brother Fan... did you bring enough money?”

Gu Yifan: ”...”

He gave Wang Zibo a speechless look and snapped, ”Nope. I’ll just leave you here to wash dishes later!”

Ignoring him completely after that, he took Su Qinghe’s small hand and walked straight into the restaurant.

Seeing this, Wang Zibo knew what was up. He quickly shouted, ”Hey, Brother Fan, wait for me!”

Then he trotted after them.

The moment the three of them entered the restaurant lobby, a waitress came to greet them.

”Hello, are the three of you here for a meal?”

the young waitress smiled at them.

”Yes, please find us a table!”

Before Gu Yifan could speak, Wang Zibo chimed in with a broad smile.

”Certainly. This way, please.”

The young waitress nodded, still smiling.

”Hey!”

”Wang Zibo, Gu Yifan?!”

Just then, someone from behind suddenly called out their names.

Gu Yifan’s steps faltered slightly. He glanced back and saw it was his classmate, He Ming!

Before he could speak, Wang Zibo boisterously beat him to it. ”Huh? What a coincidence! He Ming, what are you doing here too?” he asked, surprised.

”Uh...”

His question made He Ming pause.

”Isn’t our class having a gathering here today? Aren’t you here for the gathering?”

he asked, puzzled.

”Uh...”

Hearing this, Gu Yifan and Wang Zibo turned and looked at each other.

Well... what a fucking coincidence!
