Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 250: Chapter 249: Flame-Flame Fruit – Not Even Pigs Would Eat It

Looking at the Flametow Emboar Kaidou, the gaze in his eyes seemed to glow, as large creatures on this world’s battlefield were premium war tools.

As long as they’re not facing those monsters with exceptional individual power, the combat ability of large creatures has always been extraordinary.

The Sea Kings in The Sea don’t have any special abilities; they rely solely on their massive size to establish their status. The Vice Admirals of the Giant Race are similar; when not facing those monsters, they are excellent at clearing small fry.

Such gigantic units are enough to change the situation of a small-scale war, and the firepower of a single warship would also seem insufficient against giants.

However, the Giant Race often becomes the backdrop, considering they usually face protagonists, the Four Emperors, the Seven Warlords of the Sea, and being instantly defeated is inevitable.

Eyeing the Flametow Emboar before him, Kaidou had some strange thoughts.

”What are you going to do?”

Seeing the eager Kaidou, Arceus had a bad premonition.

”Wuhahahaha, it seems like a great guy, but of course, such a guy has to be tested personally.”

With that, he walked straight towards the Emboar.

”Hey, big guy, come fight me, you understand, right?” He knew that the intelligence of animals modified by Arceus would increase, and understanding human commands was just a basic ability.

Then he moved his wrist a bit and beckoned to the Emboar.

”Come on, it’s been a while since I moved, my body feels a bit relaxed.”

”Huh?” In response to Kaidou’s request, the Emboar was confused. Besides the increase in intelligence, the loyalty of the modified animals would also rise. Kaidou had just been with Arceus, and now this command to attack made it puzzled.

Lantern-like eyes filled with doubt, it looked to Arceus.

”Listen to him, but be gentle!”

The latter half wasn’t addressed to the Emboar, but to Kaidou, who is one of the few powerful monsters able to ignore the size difference.

”I know, and besides, isn’t this big guy unfamiliar with the body? Fighting is the fastest way to get familiar with it.”

Upon receiving the command, the Emboar also moved. Though it had only three fingers, it still formed a fist and struck towards Kaidou.

Faced with the incoming punch from the Emboar, Kaidou didn’t dodge, allowing the punch to land on his head without moving an inch; however, the ground beneath couldn’t withstand the pressure and cracked significantly.

”Whoa?”

The Emboar felt that the sensation on the fist wasn’t right. In the next moment, its massive body flew up, as Kaidou, in an over-the-shoulder throw manner, hurled the Emboar, which was about three times his height, to the side.

”The strength is good, but you should have more tricks, right? This is not enough!”

With Kaidou’s throw, the ferocity within its bones seemed to be activated. Although still not quite familiar with this form, it quickly got up, the flames surrounding its body fiercely burning, and both fists became enveloped in flames.

The Flaming Fist, Emboar’s most commonly used technique, whereas Blaziken relies more on its strong legs, Emboar relies on its fists.

The fists burning with flames, also known as the Fire Fist, came smashing towards Kaidou.

This time, Kaidou didn’t choose to let his face take the punch but extended a hand to block the Emboar’s attack.

The result of the battle was unsurprising; even using the Flaming Fist, it was no match for Kaidou, however, the smile on Kaidou’s mouth grew broader, and the world saw another pig questioning its existence.

After being beaten by Kaidou, it quickly got familiar with this new body, but clearly feeling much stronger than before, it still wasn’t a match for these little ones.

After instructing Kojiro to take good care of the Emboar, Arceus and Kaidou left. Though it had only three fingers, its hands were much more convenient than its previous hooves, and as it got more skilled, it became fond of this new form.

To ordinary people, the transformed Mountain God Wild Boar caused a sensation.

Ordinary gigantic wild boars would be revered as Mountain Gods, not to mention this new form, leading some to completely change their beliefs, as religious influence has unimaginable effects on thoughts.

The giant vines reaching the sky, the now two-legged Mountain God Wild Boar, and various miraculous Pokemon, were seen as miracles in the closed country of Wano Kuni.

Some time later, Kaidou received another call from those CP0. This time he didn’t directly refuse and chose an island for verification.

He didn’t think this was an ambush or anything; back then, even when Rocks made a big fuss, the Navy didn’t deploy their entire force. They have too many areas to cover and can’t delegate too many hands just for Kaidou now.

With the onset of the Great Pirate Era, the Navy’s workload increased significantly. Some unruly Heavenly Celestial Dragons still chose to set sail, making the protection of Navy Fleets essential.

That’s why they chose to trade with Kaidou instead of acting against Wano Kuni. To the World Government, a closed Wano Kuni is the best.

Now the opponent might not have enough manpower to defeat, but escaping, they couldn’t stop him either.

...

”Captain, this time he didn’t refuse.”

”The analysis department’s findings should be correct, this thing indeed is what he needs.”

”But Captain, isn’t what Kaidou wants well known above? Isn’t that stone useless?”

In his view, above people clearly know what Kaidou wants. They worry about providing sinister aid with the Devil Fruit, but they won’t bring out something known to be useless. Even if that stone is very sturdy, it has no use for the World Government.

”Useless as it may be, but that thing is a collection of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, would you like to communicate with them?”

”Uh...”

Though CP0 is known as the shield of the Heavenly Celestial Dragons, they are very aware of the attitude of the Celestial Dragons. The more sensible elites see them as tools, while in the eyes of those foolish ones, they’re akin to dogs.

A dog that recklessly demands its master’s belongings can easily be beaten to death, and even if the Celestial Dragons did so, no one would hold them accountable.

”Communicating doesn’t fall to us, those above aren’t willing to engage over a trivial matter, better to handle it with these instead of bothering them.”

As they were saying, their ship arrived at Punk Hazard. In the freezing chamber of Punk Hazard, they saw those experiments frozen in ice.

”Are they usable?”

”No problem, as long as they’re thawed, they can move freely. However, getting them to obey will be difficult....”
