Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 203: Chapter 202: Serperior and the Journey Home

Nolan still hadn’t reacted to what had happened when a surge of energy poured into its body, and then its form underwent a massive transformation.

The original patterns began to fade, its abdomen turned light green, while the green on its back became darker.

Near the end of its tail, three deep green leaves sprouted.

A few yellow stripes appeared on its body, elegant and noble, like the emblem of royal nobility.

From both sides of its neck extended parts composed of vines, resembling the collar and cuffs of a suit.

The color of its pupils turned crimson, giving an impression of overwhelming dominance.

Grass Attribute, Unova Three Starter, Royal Pokemon - Serperior.

Originally reigning as the Master of the Sky on Sky Island, it had no rivals and possessed an aura of supremacy. With the enhancement of Serperior’s inherent traits, its gaze held a formidable intimidation.

However, when facing Arceus, its proud expression turned to one of submission. Arceus had just subdued it through sheer pressure, and now it was truly convinced.

”It is now a Serperior, named Nolan, and in the future, it will protect the safety of your Shandia People. If ever it encounters an opponent it cannot defeat, then use this.”

Then Zeraora handed a Radio Snail to the Chieftain and taught him how to use and maintain it. Radio Snails require feeding and bathing; if neglected for long, they might die suddenly.

If mistreated, Radio Snails might even choose to switch sides, just like the Omanyte on Ghost Island.

”Garo~ Garo.”

Reformed animals tend to be influenced by some Pokemon characteristics. Nolan had become somewhat proud and was displeased to hear Arceus asking it to follow the orders of those ants.

”Alright, not their orders, but mine, to protect them.”

”Garo!”

This time, Nolan didn’t object and confidently agreed.

...

Then Nolan’s massive form climbed up along a giant vine, and with the Serperior’s natural camouflage, one wouldn’t easily notice that such a large snake was entwined on the vine.

”O Divine One, is there anything your envoy needs us to do on a daily basis?”

After this series of events, the Shandia Chieftain was convinced of Arceus’s identity as the dormant Ancient God, and naturally, the reformed Serperior became his Divine Envoy.

Tribal civilizations can sometimes be quite ignorant. Norland also brought significant changes to the Shandia People, such as altering their practices of living sacrifices to beasts.

For this ”true Divine Envoy” before them, it wasn’t surprising that they would do something similar.

However, Arceus wasn’t there to turn back the clock of history.

”There’s no need; it will find its food by itself. The sky fish in the sea clouds are enough for it, and there’s also the sun.”

A unique point about grass-type Pokemon is that besides regular food for energy, Synthesis is a vital part of their lifestyle. Through Synthesis, they can supplement much of what their bodies need, thus reducing their dependence on food.

”Don’t feel too pressured; this is what you deserve. Just carry on with the regular collection and cultivation of shellfish, and as for the Sky Island...”

”I have no intention of continuing the fight. The flames of Shandora have been rekindled, which is already enough. As long as they don’t continue coveting Apayado’s land, nothing else matters.”

”They won’t; the law enforcement power here is yours now. Someone will inform you of the relevant systems later, and you just need to periodically check outside.”

”Understood, O Divine One.”

After sounding the Golden Bell, the Shandia People left again. They needed to return to the tribe to bring back the others, while on Angel Island, the residents, under Gan Fall’s explanation, understood the current reality.

Apayado was returned to the Shandia People. Gan Fall was no longer a god, but instead became the island master of Angel Island, still managing Angel Island.

Even though the so-called priests were abolished, they still formed a security force under Gan Fall’s leadership, responsible for maintaining order on the island, ensuring residents’ safety, and more.

Aside from the ownership of Apayado and the flag now flying between Angel Island and Apayado, nothing seemed to have changed here.

In the days to come, they would realize just how much that flag would help them resolve troubles.

Initially, some people were indeed discontent, but after the tamed Nolan led the Shandia People for a stroll, such voices completely vanished.

...

In less than a day, the Shandia People’s two great wishes were fulfilled, and they held a grand feast to celebrate, or rather, it was a carnival event.

Early the next morning, having achieved their purpose, the Hundred Beasts Pirates were ready to depart. With some collected shellfish and gold, the Origin began heading towards the edge of the White Sea.

However, upon leaving, they left the Shandia People with a request: to send someone to Bika to find a peculiar-looking fruit. If found, keep it; if not, it’s no matter.

According to Gan Fall, Bika’s location was quite remote, even considered rural in Sky Island, and getting there would take a significant amount of time.

He held no obsession with the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, and for the Hundred Beasts Pirates, it wasn’t a necessity, so he didn’t want to waste too much time there.

However, upon leaving, they encountered something special: some Shandia People had stayed up all night crafting three new Totem Poles.

Giant Serpent, Thunder Cat, Ancient God (Alpaca), these three forms became the new totems of the Shandia, who saw Arceus as the new faith of the tribe.

The Origin chose not to descend in the usual way but, as it had ascended, blasted a hole into the White Sea below and descended directly.

At this time, Yamato wore a hat woven with feathers, a creation of the Shandia People, as a mark of their highest respect for a friend.

Moreover, she was fiddling with a Memory Shell, which for Sky Island served as a combination of a camera and video recorder.

Inside were her records of Sky Island. Although her photography skills were poor, they were all taken by her. She remembered her promise to show the tavern owner what Sky Island really looked like.

Whether verbal belief or genuine belief, he was the only one in the tavern back then who believed in the existence of Sky Island.

...

In Demon Valley Town, efficiency was swift. In just a few days after the Hundred Beasts Pirates left, Dote’s tavern had already been repaired.

Harlot’s head was being preserved in wax, waiting to be traded for money once a merchant ship came, while he pondered how to spend the remaining money as a familiar group of figures entered through the tavern door.
