Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 211: Chapter 210: Linlin’s Strange Request, Yamato’s Birthday Party

However, they didn’t set off immediately; the chefs on Cake Island were exhausted, and they needed to rest for a night.

After consuming the banana ice cream cake, Charlotte Linlin regained her sanity. She seemed indifferent to the events that took place here, and no one proactively mentioned them either.

Then, following BIG MOM’s intention, she deliberately held a family banquet, as a way to entertain Zeraora who came from afar.

”Mama, mama, I appreciate your help. Kaidou really found a wonderful subordinate.”

Zeraora didn’t refute anything, after all, outsiders saw them all as Kaidou’s subordinates. Yet Charlotte Linlin’s next words were quite unexpected.

”Would you like to be my husband, Zeraora? I think you’re really great.”

Charlotte Linlin’s gaze toward Zeraora turned somewhat ambiguous, making Zeraora feel rather uncomfortable.

”No, I don’t have that kind of thought.”

”Look at these kids, aren’t they adorable? Wouldn’t you like them to call you dad?”

Katakuri and others were used to BIG MOM’s words, they didn’t count how many fathers they actually had.

Moreover, Charlotte Linlin had a serious collection obsession; her husbands came from various races, so it’s not surprising she had some ideas upon seeing the Fur Race.

At this time, the photos taken by Setsuna on Sky Island helped him greatly, allowing him to politely refuse Charlotte Linlin on account of them.

”We have too much of an age difference, and I already have someone suitable.”

If it were a normal person, Charlotte Linlin wouldn’t mind forcing them, as some of her husbands came this way, but Zeraora was Kaidou’s man after all.

Although she wanted a Fur Race, she didn’t overly force the opposite party. It’s not worth it to fall out with Kaidou over such a matter.

”Then forget it. If there are suitable Fur Race members, remember to introduce them to me.”

Charlotte Linlin then said no more, had a simple chat, and let Streusen lead a professional team to leave with Zeraora. They would depart from Cake Island, reach the nearby territory of the Hundred Beasts Pirates, and then switch ships to head near Wano Kuni.

”Mom, that Long-armed Race member unfortunately... died yesterday.”

Katakuri carefully whispered in Charlotte Linlin’s ear, the Long-armed Race member was Charlotte Linlin’s current husband, now should be called ex-husband.

But her attitude was very indifferent, after all, as long as the child was born, that man had no use, her number of ex-husbands could almost make up two football teams.

”I see, that’s a pity, bury him.”

”Yes.”

”By the way, have the pirates who robbed us been found?”

Having her belongings stolen was something she wouldn’t ignore unless she couldn’t fight them.

Currently, on The Sea, only Roger managed to steal an imprint of the Poneglyph from her and remain unscathed.

But that was Roger, who became the Pirate King, some newcomers who just arrived in the New World, she’ll let them know what terror means.

”Found them, Daifuku and Owen have already prepared the expedition team.”

”Don’t need them, give me the address, this time I will go personally.”

”Yes, Mom.”

Without taking anyone else, Charlotte Linlin, now in her forties, was the strongest force of the BIG MOM Pirates herself. Watching Charlotte Linlin riding the Thundercloud Zeus off, Katakuri mourned for them for a few minutes.

Meanwhile, in Wano Kuni, Queen still felt something was off, even though he brutally scolded Perospero over the phone, he felt no relief, the previous sense of crisis constantly entangled his heart.

For safety’s sake, he felt it was better to hide for a few days on a nearby island, and then he met the just-returned Kaidou at the Ghost Island’s edge near Hidden Port.

”Queen, where are you going?”

”Ah, Brother Kaidou, it’s nothing, just going out for a walk, will be back in a few days.”

”Nothing? It’s about time for Yamato’s birthday, if nothing’s up you’re roaming around, seems you look down on me.”

”No, Brother Kaidou, I absolutely didn’t mean that!”

He was merely thinking of escaping danger, but ended up forgetting this matter.

”No need to say more, I trust you.”

”Brother Kaidou!”

”Tonight, come to Ghost Island’s rooftop, I’ll check your Armament Haki training.”

Queen’s smile lasted less than three seconds before being pulled back to reality by Kaidou. According to gossip, people on Ghost Island heard very miserable cries that day.

...

Actually, Kaidou didn’t care about birthdays; he found them meaningless, believing time spent on them would be better used practicing Haki. However, Arceus was very concerned about such matters, particularly attentive to children’s psychological issues on Ghost Island.

Although some differential treatment occurred, generally it’s decent. Previously, birthdays for Jack and Maria also had simple celebrations.

Only compared to Yamato’s, theirs were much lesser. Though not assembling the entire group, members from Wano Kuni participated as a whole.

Streusen’s professional team did not come to Ghost Island but was instead led to islands outside Wano Kuni by Zeraora, where they made cakes.

According to Yamato’s preferences, personality traits, age, taste habits, Streusen meticulously designed a three-layer mousse cake.

He also witnessed the difference in the Hundred Beasts Pirates. The Alcremie providing cream made Streusen very tempted; he found Alcremie akin to Charlotte Linlin’s Homies yet able to produce creams of various flavors.

He wished to bring one back to Whole Cake Island, an irresistible partner for any pastry chef. Unfortunately, Zeraora always refused, as per Arceus’s command, the Alcremie and Milcery were forbidden from entering Whole Cake Island.

...

On November 3, 1497, Yamato’s third birthday arrived as scheduled. She didn’t receive many gifts; ordinary members couldn’t come up with anything. Few pirates had the habit of saving money, making gift-giving difficult for them.

So, only cadres and her friends were eligible to give gifts, but those weren’t her main focus. She was more curious about what the two fathers would gift her.

Kaidou did prepare a gift for her, Arknights 2.0, as the previous one no longer suited her.

As for Arceus, he gave her a small green light orb.

”Adoptive father, what’s this?”

”Ah, this is something good, you will like it.” Saying so, he pressed the light orb onto her head.

She felt nothing initially, but afterward, she found she could sense Milcery on her shoulder wishing her a happy birthday, even grasped Chansey’s meaning more clearly.

The light orb was a special force; many referred to it as the Power of the Evergreen...
