Arceus's Pirate Journey

Chapter 231: Chapter 230: Hundred Beasts Pokemon Center Opens for Business

Comfey extends sticky vines from its head that resemble hair, holding them in its hand, and then decorates them with plucked flowers.

The vines are rich in nutrients, which invigorates and makes the flowers bloom brilliantly.

After picking flowers, it often carries these flowers with it, feeling uneasy without them.

The newly created Comfey lacks flowers, which is the cause of their unease.

These invigorated flowers are the reason they serve as medical assistants, as the scent of the petals can heal others.

If the flowers attached to the vines are soaked in a bath, it can have a soothing effect during the bath.

Due to each Comfey’s different preferences, they pick various flowers, so the fragrance they emit also varies.

Pirates who bring flower pots all receive a flower garland, as it’s Comfey’s habit to give a garland made from the plucked flowers.

”With dozens of doctors plus them, along with the local nurses, the hospital should be able to operate. Take them there.”

”Understood, Lord Sacred Beast. But would you like to name the hospital?”

”Name? Let’s call it the Hundred Beasts Pokemon Center.”

Originally, this institution’s treatment targets include both Pokemon and the civilians of Wano Kuni, and the Pokemon Center’s role is not just limited to treating Pokemon.

In the Pokemon world, registered trainers can solve their lodging and personal medical issues at the Pokemon Center, which inherently carries some hospital responsibilities.

Although the name combined with Hundred Beasts might give off an impression of a beast hospital, it doesn’t really matter.

The preparations for the Hakumai Region hospital are completed, with Kojiro purchasing a large piece of vacant land and nearby houses. Although it will take some time to build the hospital, the accommodation issues have been solved.

Meanwhile, on the open sea of Wano Kuni, a ship flying the Hundred Beasts flag is approaching.

”Everyone, the journey has been long, but we’re about to reach our final destination. Please gather your belongings.”

A female pirate shouted to the people on the ship, a ship meant to pick up doctors, as Kaidou directly deployed the Hundred Beasts King, whose deterrence and tonnage meet the requirements for this operation.

Though there are only dozens of doctors, their families are coming along as well.

Transportation on The Sea is not convenient, and with no fixed routes in Wano Kuni, the Hundred Beasts Pirates can’t open a specific route just for a few people returning home, especially since these people come from various islands within the territory, one route isn’t enough.

So they moved them directly, bringing not just the doctors but their families over too.

Some doctors even brought their assistants and familiar nurses, who also have families, altogether totaling seven to eight hundred people.

Apart from people, there are large medical equipment. Although Wano Kuni’s military industry is excellent, their manufacturing has clearly gone awry, and such equipment can only be transported from the open sea.

If small boats were deployed, they might not be able to fit everyone. Although the sailing distance is long, no one complains under the lure of high salaries.

Living within Hundred Beasts Territory, switching islands doesn’t have much impact on them.

Their sailing route is through the heart of the Hundred Beasts Territory, so they didn’t encounter any danger. The group successfully reached Wano Kuni where each person was given a house as part of their relocation terms.

”This will be your workplace from now on. Also, these are your assistants, who can help you treat patients.”

Their families were tidying the homes while the doctors arrived at their temporary workplace and met Chansey, Comfey, and Audino.

Having been with Pokemon for a long time, one can understand what they mean, but the newly arrived doctors clearly couldn’t.

Now is the integration phase, where the doctors and Pokemon need to work together.

Hearing their assistants are these strange creatures, many doctors had odd expressions, until the eldest doctor stepped forward.

”Everyone, may I boldly ask how these creatures can help us? Entertain children?”

”It’s fine, it’s understandable that it’s your first time seeing them. Audino, please demonstrate.

But be careful with your words; they can understand human speech.”

Zeraora brought them here for ease of communication, as some Pokemon had unpleasant expressions due to the doctor’s skepticism.

”Cha~ Cha-cha-cha!” An Audino pressed its ear to his chest, giving its diagnosis.

”It says your heart rate isn’t good, you have chronic heart disease, a stent, and you’re not feeling well emotionally.”

Zeraora translated Audino’s words for him, leaving the elderly doctor utterly shocked.

”Um... may I try?” A nearby nurse joined in, and Audino, of course, agreed and provided her diagnosis.

”Cha!”

”It says you are very healthy but pregnant, about four weeks in.”

The nurse counted the dates on her fingers, then touched her belly in shock.

She wasn’t sure of her pregnancy, but she indeed had an encounter with her husband that day, and after that, she boarded the ship to relocate to Wano Kuni. No such incidents occurred on the ship.

”Alright, their ability has been proven. This is Audino’s ability; the three types of Pokemon have different capabilities.

Before the hospital is built, you need to build a good rapport with them, as they are easy to communicate with. Over time, you’ll understand their language.”

Zeraora left after proving Audino’s capability, leaving everything else to them. Regarding the Pokemon’s safety...

Zeraora didn’t underestimate them; these doctors wouldn’t be a match for Chansey and Audino.

Yet, after today’s events, the term Pokemon entered the doctors’ minds, as Audino achieved with its ears what they need precise instruments for.

Audino, Chansey, and Comfey are Pokemon fond of humans. Though the doctors initially doubted them, they didn’t mind.

The doctors then witnessed their abilities and embraced the concept of Pokemon, gradually becoming acquainted.

Meanwhile, on the nearby vacant land, the construction team was busy, but wasn’t Wano Kuni craftsmen; it was the Hundred Beasts Pirates’ construction team, building this hospital following defense installation standards...
